  1. To anyone who says Islam is not a harsh religion, try reading the Quran. It becomes a lot harder to defend once you've read the text. I've you've not read the Quran, try reading what it has to say about violence. You cannot use the intepretation defense that you can do in Christianity, for the fact that you are discouraged in Islam to make your own intepretations and just read the text verbatim and listen to scholars. I'm not defending Christianity, and I quite think that all religion is a problem, but I honestly don't think we should be encouraging any third-world views of the world. Edit: I should probably mention, I am not against anything which doesn't hurt someone, or encourages people to hurt someone.
  2. It really becomes hard to not mix the two when you've read the Quran.
  3. Islam never seems to stop giving, huh. Was about to make a thread about this, very interesting. It seems to be connected to an arrest of someone involved in terrorism earlier in the day.
  4. You can see an invidual players statistics by going to their profile and clicking 'Crime Statistics' on the left. Is this what you mean? And yes, total stats are something which is being counted, we've just yet to make a nice page showing it all off. What do you mean by currently playing player's stats?
  5. We have identified a bug in versions 1.0 onwards that would cause your API key not to be sent to the server in certain circumstances. This would make your statistics anonymous, and not linked to your account. We have made a change on the server to fix this, by using another method to get your API key. This will have fixed this issue for everyone it effected. If you're in any doubt if your statistics are being associated with your account, try using the live wall (in my signature) to track your statistics whilst playing.
  6. I think the best way is to supplement the existing multiplayer, not create a whole new multiplayer engine on top of something which already works. Although I'll take a look, this might be good!
  7. You have LCPDFR 1.0 and 0.95 installed. Remove one.
  8. It's happened before. There are far too many backups out there. If they've got a competent setup, all that will have been raided is the front-end servers. The back-end servers are probably distrubuted around the world. They'll be up in a few hours, at worse a week or two.
  9. Give Codepen a go. http://codepen.io/pen/ You can make live changes which are rendered there and then.
  10. Before you start blaming mainstream feminists (incorrectly), realize this is probably mothers and fathers that have no idea what the game is about, along with misinformed men and women who will sign whatever they get sent. I have a fair few friends that are feminists, that play IV (and V) and have accounts on this board. Most people (certainly along with most women and feminists) will understand that the Grand Theft Auto series is a satire of pop culture.
  11. Crowdfunding is usually considered as advertising (asking for money in exchange for something), and as such is not generally allowed on the forum.
  12. Actually that is probably more wrong than you can imagine. The "TM" mark means the trademark has not been registered and is only granted unregistered trademark rights.
  13. First off, it should probably be noted that the site isn't a democracy and any concept of freedom of speech people have doesn't legally apply here. We allow discussion that doesn't violate our Community Guidelines, and we do this quite limitlessly, e.g. topics like this would be removed on a lot of other forums I know. That being said, people generally take dislikes to power structures. People generally take a dislike to police, governments and teachers. And it's quite common to see dislike or hatred for administrators and moderators of online communities. For those who disagree with our rules and violate them, we generally engage them and tell them what we took issue with, how it violates our community guidelines and to warn them from doing it again. When they don't improve their behaviour over many warnings, they are shown the door temporarily. If it continues, they are shown the door for a long period of time (a year or more). Bans are not common place, however, as evidented by the people complaining about the team so much. The great thing about the Open Internet -- there are alternatives to LCPDFR.com. GTAPoliceMods, GTAForums, GTA-PoliceModifications and more. If people have strong disagreements with how the site is run and they would prefer not to follow our rules, it's usually best they go elsewhere. However, getting back to the "efficency" term, which sounds a bit corporate, there are probably improvments to be made, yes. Sometimes there are conflicting rules - e.g. we previously allowed off-site advertising on certain Showroom forums but not the gallery. This was non-sensical, and therefore we made it consistant. The Acting Community Team Supervisor, which is currently Iconography, regularly reviews performance and motivates Community Team members. Regarding working as a team, the Community Team all have each other on Instant Messaging and work as friends. We try to get on with everyone, although I've not been nearly as active as usual recently. It should be noted though that at the end of the day -- this is a website. It is not a full time job for anyone. We could probably slightly improve with 10 or so full-time paid moderators. But where would that money come from?
  14. Huh? Your entire Internet connection times out or the connection between LCPDFR and its server?
  15. No mod support? No shit. IV didn't have any either. IV included DRM too. Remember Spore? The game with "uncrackable DRM"? Or how about the new Sim City? Both of these were cracked in relatively short periods of time.
  16. Unlikely. They are happy to update their modification to work with ours if they like.
  17. The processor is meh. RAM is okay. GPU is good. HDD is meh. If you have any issues the processor or HDD is definitely the bottleneck. I'd recommend a better processor or a solid state but you should be okay. Edit: Actually for GTA IV that processor should be good. That processor as far as I can tell is good for single-threaded operations and pants for multi-threaded operations. GTA IV doesn't utilize threads that well, so it might be a good CPU for this game.
  18. I'm on that build and it works without problem. Check your drivers.
  19. Looks great. Have fun with LCPDFR.

  21. Awesome. Another game for the collection.
  22. There's no reason based in logic to be against two people being together regardless of gender or race. The RationalWiki does a better job in explaining it than I ever could.
  23. Definitely. We in the UK had "civil partnerships" that gave the exact same rights (tax, legal, etc) as marriage.
  24. I completely agree that two people deserve to be together regardless of what gender, race or anything else -- and if you don't then you're ignorant. However, it would be great if we didn't call it marriage. Marriage is histroically defined as a union between a male and a female. I don't believe in redefining words.
