  1. MODERATOR NOTICE Your thread has been moved to the GTA IV Support Requests forum, as it is not an LCPDFR support request.
  2. This probably has nothing to do with LCPDFR. It means your game crashed. Treat it as you would GTA crashing normally / borked installation. The failed to find savegame just means that the LCPDFR Error Recovery could not kick in -- probably because LCPDFR didn't even start. And I've never heard of Jeff Favignano in my life.
  3. We don't use a trojan at all. This is a problem with your anti-virus software detecting our modification as a trojan incorrectly. Our software is not actually a trojan.
  4. You are probably in one of the following groups: Have your Windows DPI setting non-default. Workaround is to set the DPI settings to default. Are using a GTA IV / EFLC ENB or other graphics modification. Workaround is to stop using them. Changed your resolution after starting the game. Workaround is to restart the game.
  5. Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR. You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them. Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Give a clear, detailed description of the problem. Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem. State what solutions you have tried. Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Include as much information as possible. Post your system specifications. Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

You are using an old version of the AdvancedHook.dll. Please download the manual installation package and make sure to drag AdvancedHook.dll into the GTA IV/EFLC folder.

  8. We don't really support other modifications -- apart from API modifications, sorry. If there are any issues these would have to be fixed by the author.
  9. You haven't installed the latest AdvancedHook.dll.
  10. Looks like a bug. Will be fixed in the next release.
  11. Did you install the new version of AdvancedHook.dll? Looks like you didn't.
  12. Make a support thread if you want help. Also, there's nothing that's went wrong in the LCPDFR.log, so it is unlikely to be LCPDFR related.
  13. Nothing to see here! This thread has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff, because it has been created in an incorrect forum section. We require that LCPDFR support requests are created in the LCPDFR Support Requests forum, so that users are presented with the troubleshooter. Please use that forum and follow the clearly presented instructions. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  14. Mmm. Not really in that build. I guess we could in the future make the update checker use SSL or add an INI value to disable update checks in the future. I'll try and make sure one of these is done in the next release or next bugfix release. There are still logistical problems involved with this. It is however on the horizon.
  15. Your ISP does something evil and injects HTML into our update checker page. Our server could literally never return that response otherwise.
  16. The drunk cam is triggered by Rockstar's anti-piracy system. If you have a legit version, I'd contact them.
  17. They evidently don't have good DDoS protection -- otherwise this wouldn't have happened. They also didn't "hack". DDoSing is just flooding a server. In response to: What makes you think they have jobs? There are plenty of ways to make money online, including by them selling their DDoS services, which they can prove work. It's too easy to disguise your location on the Internet. There's no way they could track them unless they did something very stupid (e.g. using their home IP and not using a VPN)I don't see how that would help at all. These people can tell agents a mile away. Plus, they probably don't need the real names of each other (this would make sense incase one person got raided).Again, I highly doubt they'd allow that to happen.See point 3.
  18. It's entirely the fault of the companies. If they were smaller businesses I could maybe feel some sympathy to them, but the fact these are companies that could very easily throw away $20 million on DDoS protection this is completely ridculous. I have to kinda laugh at the status they posted: https://twitter.com/FUCKCRUCIFIX/status/548325840900345856 Of course, these kids shouldn't have access to the DDoS tools in the first place, reading their Twiiter they are clearly scriptkiddies with close to no actual IT skill. It's a shame that launching DDoS attacks is very cheap nowadays. The chances of law enforcement tracing these guys is close to nil.
  19. I've never understood it either; it's so stupid. I've just encouraged any relatives who'd give me a gift card to just give me cash instead.
  20. I don't think the bottleneck is the graphics card. I've been able to suck 4K resoultion GTA IV at Highest Settings with a 670 overclocked slightly above a 680. You'll only really need the GPU upgrade if you're considering 4K gaming in the near future at high settings. Maybe consider investing in a SSD.
  21. Can't you just turn the computer off? Sorry if I'm being ignorant, but isn't this the best solution?
  22. No. I'm very confused as how you'd think GTA SA is in any way compatible with LCPDFR?
