I'm thinking about bringing the old LCPDFR.com clan system back, but it will serve mostly as an LCPDFR Online Service - integrated with our crime statistics system. What I currently have planned is to have group/clan based leaderboards in the same way we currently have per-user leaderboards and adding facilities in the game to facilitate online play as a clan. This would include in-game chat via the police computer system between clan personnel (which would also be visible to clan personnel not in-game), a built in dispatch system and real-time maps of where clan personnel are in-game to help dispatch staff - the real time maps would include activity, for example would show when an arrest takes place or when officers call for backup. The idea overall would be to aide group play, and create a competitive environment where clans would be qualitively measured by our scoring system that we currently use for per-user leaderboards. Please note there is no timeline for this at all. So please don't get your hopes up - although I hope to do this, it may not be done for any number of reasons. Also please note that multiplayer/callouts sync is part of the LCPDFR core and is not what I'm asking for suggestions for. I'd like to know what you guys would like. Although this is aimed at clans, it will be not just limited to clans, and could be used for any group.

Why not? If you've got something unique then people will go to your site to download it. You just need to put some effort into creating unique content and advertising it in a way that doesn't involve spamming other websites. The problem is a lot of the sites I see that are trying to compete are just rehashings of existing sites out there with no unique content. Or a complete rip of existing sites with very minimal theme changes.

I can't quite mention this, as an attacker knowing which service to test their malware against probably makes it a little less secure. Possibly. Although I can see an "automatic unapprove when a file reaches X reports" system being abused by trolls -- it's something I'll look into however.

If you really want to hurt them, go after their advertising partners. They use AdSense. Go here: https://support.google.com/adsense/contact/violation_report For violations, choose "This site is distrubuting someone else's copyrighted material, possibly without permission" Make sure to be as detailed as possible. If enough of you do it, they'll get banned from AdSense, and will lose funds to run their copyright violating site.

You didn't describe the problem at all. What's happening? "Game crashing" doesn't tell me much.

You have too many mods installed that this probably has nothing to do with LCPDFR.

Run the diagnostics tool (which is in the LCPDFR directory) then post back what that says. I suspect you do not have one of the required Visual C++ Redistributables installed.

Taken. Been in a relationship for about a year and 2 months and live together. For our anniversary we had champagne on the London eye. I think it takes meeting someone you can spend a lot of time with without going crazy. We're both pretty geeky, enjoy coding and sci-fi. This is a problem with your antivirus -- not our software. It detects our software as incorrectly being a virus. Either disable your antivirus or complain to your antivirus vendor.

I dont think management have any plans to remove the board or change its guidelines at this time. It's very common for topics in the politics board to be completely derailed -- although our current guidelines cover this. I think if anything we'll probably be stricter in enforcing them.

Signed, mostly as I can entirely sympathise and have personal connections to the topics discussed. Also being transgendered isn't homosexuality, it is the non-compliance with typical gender roles. It is actually brought up in religion and Christianity (e.g. Jesus discussed the eunuchs -- which could be thought of as modern transgender people) and even in Islam (the Mukhannathun) -- none of them as far as I can tell had too negative views about them. Although this thread has degenerated exactly how I thought it would. I sometimes think that we as a community are not mature enough for a politics board.

I'm glad you're all enjoying it. There are probably some tweaks to the ranking system to make, along with country-specific rankings (if you've set a country on your profile). Plus I'd really love to get the live statistics back and the overall counts - hopefully I can work on this soon. I think that's a good idea, but probably a bit late now -- we could have only really done this at the time of the 1.0 release. We've got no way of distinguishing statistics sent from 1.0x or 0.95 so it's too late now.
