  1. Now this is an interesting case you've got here. I've never heard of anybody getting something like this when they're not running a graphics mod. Considering you said that pretty much everything is transparent, I think something may have been corrupted during the install of GTA IV. Have you had this issue ever since you installed IV or did it suddenly appear one day after installing a mod or something?
  2. ^ This. After rendering my videos in my editing software, I'd then compress the video even further using HandBrake. HandBrake is a great little tool for compressing videos as it'll drop the file size significantly without effecting the overall quality.

  4. Ahem. Out of those options I'd like to see the Caprice done. But that model you found is a massive mess. It looks nothing like the Caprice.
  5. With the default cars? No. Usually I'll take real department liveries and vehicles and modify them to fit in around GTA IV. For example I'd change the department name to "Dukes Police" or "Liberty County Sheriff's Office", rather than having the real department names.
  6. Are you running any type of graphics mod? That's a common cause for this sort of thing.

  8. MODERATOR NOTICE Please don't bump topics, including your own. It looks fine to me, but then again I'm not a computer expert so I could be wrong.
  9. Please don't bump topics, someone who knows what's going on should get to you in good time, just be patient. Your friends' graphics card seems very weak, that may be the cause. What error does your friend get when he tries to load multiplayer, and is it a legal copy of the game?
  10. This thread has been dead for over a year now, was it really necessary for you to revive it just for that? No; so please don't necropost in the future. Anyway, I'm glad your issue is resolved. Closing to avoid further necroposts.
  11. I'm pretty sure it is real. You can't stage something like this, not easily at-least. The fact the video was removed so quickly after posting makes it even more believable too.
  12. I'm not saying it's staged or fake, I'm wondering what gave the cop the idea to do that. If a pursuit wasn't dangerous enough already, he's got to drive on the wrong side of the road with a gun pointing out the window. Even when the guy stops the cop is reckless as hell, runs up to him, presses the gun to his neck and pushes him to the floor all while yelling "I WILL KILL YOU! YOU SON OF A BITCH!". Anybody know what this guy did to get a reaction like that out of the officer?
  13. What.. the... actual... This can't be serious. Driving one handed, on the wrong side of the road while pointing a gun out of the window.
  14. MODERATOR NOTICE Wrong section, moving to GTA IV Suggestions & Requests. I have no idea how to do it myself, but I know it involves editing the STREAMED_VEHICLES.rpf and ENGINE_RESIDENT files. Possibly more files too.
  15. MODERATOR NOTICE Wrong section, moving to GTA IV Suggestions and Requests. EDIT: Ninja'd by Jam?
  16. It looks like the officer who fired the shots was one of the backup officers. In his defense he was probably unaware of the children in the vehicle, going by what he heard on the radio and saw when he rolled up, he probably assumed the officer was in trouble and decided to take action. Watching the video back, it doesn't look like any of the shots hit the van itself. Perhaps he was going for the tires or firing warning shots near the vehicle. We won't really know why the officer fired the shots until more information is released. Also, more or less belongs in Politics, Current Events & Society. Moving.

  18. I doubt that'll happen. You'd need to hire voice actors, a recording studio, ect to have it sounding somewhat professional. Besides, most people who use LCPDFR don't play as the NYPD anyway, so it'd be a pointless addition.
