  1. Instead of this, what I'd like to see is variation of animations for the same action to streamline it- for instance, pointing a gun at someone could either make them drop to the floor or their knees (like in 0.2) as a little variety. The most glaring addition I would like to see is melee combat arresting- there is animations for this type of activity in the game files (criminal dropping to their knees hurt, and the cop struggling to get their arms behind their back) - because of the idiotic ped AI which likes to fistfight the player at any opportunity.
  2. As we all know, peds in GTA are more often than not packing heat, which obviously results in some ridiculous situations during patrols in the ghetto areas (gangstas pulling guns every time you arrest anyone there etc.). What I'd ideally like to see is a script that sets these peds as unarmed for a more realistic experience- not everyone is packing IRL. Perhaps it could allow for a few peds to have guns for variety. There's already a mod for unarmed cops, so maybe this won't be too difficult to look at.
  3. Adding to this, I find it strange that Rockstar went to some extent during development to include different sheriff departments ingame -audio files from Dispatch show this- but then take them out, only for the community to put them back in quite successfully. As people have said, Blaine County is so small it's barely worth having two agencies for it - Paleto Bay having no obvious government facility like a town hall, and Sandy Shores is just a glorified trailer park. One thing I'd like to see in a next GTA is obvious county jurisdictions with their own forces and realistic small towns in them to police (or shoot up).
  4. Using the More Interiors mod and maybe a mod that uses blips to teleport the player to the interior of an Online house for a callout would be interesting; not sure how exactly it would work to script peds to spawn in them, but it's a potential idea to explore. Domestic callouts would be an interesting thing to see in the interiors.
  5. As we all know, trying to roleplay a prison guard ingame is near impossible because of the hardcoded alarms and guards shooting at you. Is there a possibility that being able to walk around the prison could be looked at for an update, as I'm sure it would add to the experience of driving prisoners to the prison- perhaps driving them right through the gates into the yard rather than outside like we currently do. I know there was a Prison entry script that was compatible with older versions of the mod, but as far as I can tell this hasn't been compatible with 0.3.
  6. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Perhaps a little more interactivity could be involved in an aggressive arrest- maybe having to repeatedly press E to fill the arrest bar to simulate struggling with the suspect- I don't know if you've played another of Rockstar's games, The Warriors, but that game had a pretty cool handcuffing system where you twiddled the analog sticks to cuff someone. I'd love something similar to that in the mod.
  7. If you want a police game on console, there are certain other games (not naming any here because reasons) that may come out in the future depending on interest. Otherwise, LSPDFR is a PC-only mod that isn't console compatible.
  8. I've had an idea relating to using the Nightstick as a real policing tool- whenever a ped tries to fistfight with the player, using the nightstick or taser (depleting the ped's health below a certain level) would result in the ped falling to the knee-arresting animation, where the player can cuff them. It surely isn't just me who's frustrated with some AI peds randomly trying to fight you when you're questioning someone, forcing you to KO the ped, so an addition to the mod similar to this would be a great idea to mitigate this and enhance roleplay possibilities. Perhaps even a 'struggle bar' for arresting could be implemented, if it could utilize some possible suitable animations (if some suitable ones exist).
  9. After updating my game to the latest update (lowriders2) and moving all my mods to the new Update.RPF, I keep getting crashes when using my modified DLCList.xml, which loads both EUP and the Blaine county sheriff addon. Has anyone else come across this issue, and can it be fixed?
  10. While Emergency Uniforms Pack is brilliant, I use modded LSPD officers with powder blue shirts; as such, I'd ideally like a modded texture file for the LSPD uniforms of EUP that is powder blue, something like this texture: Trying to manually edit the files in Photoshop is finicky to say the least, so any assistance would be much appreciated.
  11. I think it would be cool if we could use the loudspeaker when out of the car- say standing by the driver door with the handset (there's animations for this, from the Paleto score mission).

  13. I've run into a strange problem with the GTA V launcher; whenever I start it, it downloads a 53MB update file, then crashes when it reaches %100. Also, it crashes whenever I try to start the game in offline mode (to try and avoid this update error). The launcher was working fine last week, the only thing that's changed since the last time I played was that I installed the new 3.1 LSPDFR patch. Is there a way to manually bypass the launcher, or better yet find a link to the most current launcher to fix this wierd glitch? A quick glance at some recent status updates tells me that others have had this problem too.
  14. I'm getting a crash which seems to be related to Arrest Manager (or RageNativeUI, which is mentioned quite prominently in the log) since the latest version. Log:
  15. Does this work with the latest patch? I had to reinstall all my mods folders because one of the replaced files was crashing the game, and this could have been it.
  16. What is the PIA anyhow? I see it in Emergency Uniforms Pack, but I don't see what it stands for.
  17. You could install this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/brawler-mod which makes punches less damaging and makes actual fistfights with suspects possible. It also allows you to use batons effectively without killing them.
  18. I have a bit of a problem with the duty belts on the male MP character- whenever I equip them, there's a weird flickering effect around the character.
  19. Well, considering I was roleplaying a detective and there were no phonebooks handy, I used what I could find :) luckily my fellow officers came in and helped. Good thing there aren't any cameras in the cell area...
  20. Wow, that solved the problem. I've no idea why a script to open doors in the prison would interfere with a vehicle management script. Thanks Albo! (that needs to become a catchprase )
  21. The latest version of this isn't working with 0.3. In the log it says ' Vehicle Search v2.1.7: System.ArgumentException: The specified type is not an Enum type.' Is this a common problem?
