  1. I have the suspect in my vehicle and I want to frisk him, I must take him out of my car, uncuff him, and then frisk him and re-cuff him. In my opinion it can be simplified. This also happens with requesting a pickup unit for the ped, He's still considered fleeing the police in a foot pursuit even if he's handcuffed and on the sidewalk, until he gets into the police car then the pursuit is stopped, and because of GTA's naturally stupid AI it causes more car cleanup for me as well when the police leave their cruisers behind (This only happens sometimes). The debug menu should also be re-added for forcing ambient events or callouts. I believe it was Alt+F12 or control F12, something along those lines, I found it useful to be honest EDIT: I'll continue to add to this/my latest reply with my ideas.
  2. Well nevermind, I tried it out, pretty well functioning, however the spikestrip sometimes breaks forcing me to reloadscripts, but other than that the features are pretty neat. The backup features don't work either, but spikestrip and ALPR are all I need. Spotlights pretty cool too Heh, I'm sure even the computer im looking to get probably couldn't run GTA V on PC. I would hope so. Anyways, yeah i guess it would be fairly easy considering it already has nails and a spikestrip model. Let's see where modders go when its out.

  4. Sorry if this is the wrong section, It seemed to fit best. I'm looking to see if anyone can resurrect a working spikestrip mod. The only one ever documented was on a website called major-gaming, which has since shutdown. he didn't allow it to be posted elsewhere I believe, so it's pretty much gone now. I prefer spikestrips over police barricades (Such as with LCPDFR or vdH policehelper, less lag and less ELS.) Just a simple spikestrip that pops their tires if run over. I would find it incredibly useful. If however there is one that works, and I somehow didn't find it after extensive searching, A link would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, If it's the wrong section please move it.
  5. That issue isn't related. This is a script crash. Anyways, turn PreloadAllModels on in your LCPDFR.ini (or open the configuration exe). I used to have this issue and that fixed it, otherwise it's a bad custom car you have installed.
  6. So recently I installed a Bait Car mod not related to vdH's policehelper, as I've uninstalled it, and Wouters Callouts mod.other than that I added a new police car in the first police slot. I highly doubt they are related but it's possible that the callouts mod is due to it being part of LCPDFR's API. I've confirmed that it ONLY happens when I call backup/Prisoner Transport. The script crashes with the error in the log. I attached the LCPDFR.log, the error is near the bottom a lot of times repeated. Weirdly enough the only script crash I've ever gotten was the script calling to an object that didn't exist. This never happened, so for now I've removed the mod(s) in question and hopefully it fixes it. Wether it does or it doesn't I'll leave this here as a bug report, I would like to know what caused it. The error is near the bottom/very bottom. Thanks. [Log files attached] EDIT: WoutersCallouts was the problem. Even people in the comments said so. I'll leave the log anyways so it can/may be fixed.
  7. This also seems to happen with ELS v6/v7, so I'm really not even sure anymore. I would HOPE a fresh install works.
  8. I always keep AI enabled for ELS. As for the other thing, that's really weird...It's worked all this entire time and now all the sudden it just does this. I might just do a fresh install of GTA again, even though I'd have to go through the hassle of installing custom sirens/sounds, scripts and cars again. If anyone else has any suggestions I would appreciate them, I'm really frustrated here. EDIT: Using ctrl+backspace fixes the problem, the siren turns off when I leave the car but I cant toggle the siren with G, I have to turn off that mode again. And it doesnt affect AI, so they still have full blown lights on when they spawn, and they keep the siren on when they leave the car resulting in 4 or 5+ sirens until they slowly walk back to their car.
  9. So recently after many crashes and problems I experience this crap out of nowhere. Whenever I turn on my ELS siren (The key ELS has assigned, NOT, GTA. I've even unbinded my GTA siren key) the siren stays on after leaving the car. Usually, if the light mode 3 is on and I have the siren toggled, I can exit the car and the siren will automatically turn off, now out of nowhere It stays on and continues to play, this includes AI and it's VERY annoying. I've just been doing police stings and stuff that doesn't require backup because It's an annoyance when AI cops get out of their car and the siren stays on, It's 5+ blazing sirens in some scenarios. Any suggestions? I just want it back to where the siren will turn off if I get out of my car. I've tried changing sirens and that didn't help, I've messed with the ELS controls and settings ingame and in the .ini, nothing. Non-ELS cars are fine, the GTA Siren key has the car stop emitting noise when I exit the car, but not ELS, Its such a sudden problem and I feel like I mis-clicked one button but I can't figure out what. Any help is appreciated Thanks. Their lights seem to be on full solid color as well, until they are called or alerted to a situation. It's starting to piss me off really, I spend nearly 2-3 hours fixing problems that can probably be solved in a minute but even other threads have no solutions. eh, i just learned to deal with it. It's not too bad and sometimes the AI fix it themselves, Thanks anyways. Consider it more of a bug report or a future feature.
  10. Gonna just have to wait and see fellas. Chances are, like LMS/some of the moderators said, that they're going to continue not supporting mods/modders, and making it harder for them even if it is a finical suicide to them. But that's just going off of what they did with IV, It could be wrong and be easy to mod, just wait and see. I for one can't wait until its released, I would love to see how nice it looks once I get a new PC and THEN worry about modding. I agree however that the vanilla game is pretty boring, the story wasnt interesting enough to me and the open world freeplay doesnt offer much.

  12. Pretty much solved I dont use the feature too often anyways, and I got new cars since. It was the old cars probably doing it
  13. Mods i have 3 modded Police-cars (Police, Police2 and PSTOCKADE). I have most of the vdH Scripts (Policehelper, coroner and towtruck.) Traffic-flow, because the taxi-bug happens way too often. GTA-V handling mod and bravehearts ALPR + Speed Radar, and of course LCPDFR. My sepcs, suggesting an upgrade wont hep because I just cant do that right now but i plan on it soon. (They arent great, I'm on a laptop and I've been running this game with 30-40 FPS fine, with some heavily modded files to decrease shadows/lighting, I cant seem to find anymore sadly) AMD-A8 4500M APU with Radeon HD Graphics (Only clocked at 1.90 GHz. 4 cores) Windows 8 5.98 Usable GB of RAM 512MB of Video Memory AMD Radeon HD 7640G.
  14. Hi. I've been getting MAJOR texture loss recently, the FPS isnt as bothering as the dropping in textures constnatly after playing for 10 minutes. I have a modified visualsettings and a commandline, but with both they still occur. The visualsettings is to reduce lag, so that could be whats causing it but even without it I still get the problem. Its not the roads and walls going invisible, its textures being VERY low res until you are right next to them, which takes about 5 seconds to render. same with the streets, sometimes I see cars floating an inch or two above the asphalt. I'll upload my commandline, tell me if it needs improving or if I'm missing a command, something to fix this (probably) memory problem. Thanks.
  15. You know what, that makes a lot of sense too...It uses my police2 for the checkpoint, and thats whats causing the crash. As of posting these logs I've changed my police and police2 models to simple ELS v8 optimized LCPD cars, and im going to test with those. Hopefully that fixes the problem. The cars i was using BEFORE, were years old. I used them because I used to use them a lot in V6 and V7 of ELS, but i guess they're just outdated. Thanks for the info, i didn't really read through my error logs too much. Also - I have the scripthook/advancedhook that came with the LCPDFR 1.0c Manual Installation package, so it should be up to date.

Love the new update, a ton more stable than the last one (for me, at least.) as for the checkpoint system, very good idea and I enjoy it when its not acting up and crashing me (But thats on my end with my modded cars.) Stability is nice, I hated crashing every 10 minutes, looking forward to every update/fix :).
  17. Yeah I'm really not sure. I re-edited my post, since its SMPA60 it has to be something with the modded cars or ELS interfering but i'm not sure. I'm going to post my logs to my OP and wait for any devs to hopefully respond, or maybe someone who knows how to fix it. for now most other stuff is kinda smooth. Just wait I guess.
  18. Hi. The command ForceDisableUseFootChasesAsEvent doesn't work in the ini file, i had to place it there myself and in the changelog it said this was a new feature, i was relieved when I saw this because i dont like one foot pursuit after another. I've tried ForceDisableUseFootChasesAsEvent=true and ForceDisableUseFootChasesAsEvent by itself, nothing is working. I'm probably doing something wrong but I've tried everything I would know. I've also turned off Ambient Events (max = 0 and no multiplier) in the diagnostics tool, once again it just doesn't effect it. EDIT: Setting this to True (not sure if caps mattered) sometimes works for me. Its an off and on situation, one instance it will keep happening and another it stops so its a 50/50 chance for me, but whatever its no big deal anyways. Solved.
  19. After using control+B to make a roadblock/close off a lane and let cars through, It works fine and they drive around when I instruct them (however sometimes they knock the cones over.) I like the new feature and would love to use it, but everytime I get RID of the roadblock (By pressing CTRL+B again, maybe im doing something wrong?) i crash with SMPA60, unusually not a normal CTD or GTAIV.exe crash. EDIT: Well, it WAS fixed but now upon removing it and running/walking away, or putting it back shortly after I get SMPA again. I assume its because of my modded cars and ELS but I don't know. Can any devs confirm? Any way to get around it? Here are some logs attached, from the last gameplay of where i ended up crashing, look near the bottom or the newest output, that should be the one.
  20. EDIT - Okay I didnt expect this to work but I deleted AdvancedHookInit.asi and that fixed it...Solved I guess.
  21. Did you ever have an older version of LCPDFR? (0.95 or lower.) You must completely uninstall any older version of the mod before installing 1.0. Are you using auto or manual installer? If you did it manually take screenshots of your main folder and scripts folder, to make sure you installed it correctly (Read the manuals on how to install the mod, they are helpful. PDF files in your .rar.) Did your game crash before installing the mod or did it run fine? and which part do you crash at, when you spawn in and start walking around or when you start the script? Having too many scripts can cause instability as well, so try to limit them down, but for now take a screenshot of your main and scripts folder.
  22. Its not even a matter of optimization, R* just decided it was a good idea to "port" the game over from console, which was a shit and non-successful move. Regardless, the more scripts and car mods you have, the more unstable your game is (mostly just in large amounts, 6-7+ scripts.) ENB's (If you have any, or just max settings) and all of your police cars being modded isnt necessary, and if you are doing it I can almost guarantee that's the cause of your problem. but its up to you obviously, try re-installing or using a fresh vehicles.img (If you backed up), and add the car mods + scripts one by one, see what happens and maybe you can pinpoint whats causing it. Apparently enabling PreLoadAllModels can cause stability, but beware of texture loss, try enabling it with the diagonstics tool or add PreLoadAllModels =True in the lcpdfr.ini. Anyways, try whatever it is you wanted to test Good luck :P
  23. see :LMS's reply. also by ALT+P, Thats the key to start LCPDFR. I didnt know you couldnt even load up the game. If you don't plan on using social club/multiplayer, use xlive.dll ASI loader instead of dsound.dll, Its more stable and it takes away social club being required to login, which could trigger your crash.
  24. Just find the location manually and copy/paste it in the bar (Example - C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IVGTAIV)
  25. Are you sure your computer can run the game? If you have max settings on, high poly modded cars and certain textures WILL crash you, I have to limit myself to 2 carmods otherwise I crash constantly. Try lowering your settings, as for your lcpdfr log (to me at least) I dont see anything significant that would cause a crash, I don't think its an LCPDFR problem. Try putting one car mod on at a time, see what happens with 1 or 2. If its crashing ONLY when you do alt+p, you might have installed wrong. If thats the case show screenshots of your main folder, scripts folder and LCPDFR folder.
