I have ELS v7 setup and configged correctly except it's not working on ONE car - The Noose Cruiser. I have all the cars enabled to ELS and it still refuses to work at all. Alt M isnt bringing up the menu, J doesnt do anything K nothing yet on all the other ELS cars it works fine. yes it is an ELS enabled car so I don't see why it won't work =/

Earlier this was happening but here's the story: I'm using windows 8 and I'm playing GTA IV but it's not in steam because it's a backup (I have it on steam but its like ultra modded and this was a quicker solution rather than re-installing). so I installed some mods like LCPDFR and VdH police-helper. Then I did the steps for windows 8 and updated to the 1.0.7.0 Patch. now the game has a 1 in 10 chance of actually working after loading. It goes through the loading and loads "The cousins bellic" (Which I just started a new game and then saved). and pretty much randomly every few launches it will work and other times it will not. Any solution? I used my previous vehicles.img and not a fresh one because I don't want to -reinstall all those custom cars. The cars load fine when it loads normally but other than that its a game of "Hey, GTA. Are you gonna launch this time?".

If it had to be in a priority: Stability first. Make the game as stable as possible so we don't have to deal with a lot of shit :3 Then, Maybe some sort of...optimization. To my understanding big mods may cause extra lag, and until I actually get a gaming computer that will annoy me :c. Even though I still can't play gta 4 on this craptop :3. And finally add more callouts. PLEASE :D?

Are your computers function keys enabled? If so you have to disable them, By this I mean, When you hit (F11 F9 or whatever key), Does it do what the picture shows it to do? Do your F keys increase/decrease volume, Internet switch etc. If so you need to disable those to do what they are suppose to do, Then they work for gaming.

You are missing some dll's. Also make sure your scripthook is installed correctly, You should download the latest one if you haven't. As for msvcr100.dll, No clue on that one.

I think in the next version of LCPD:FR once you arrest them (walk up behind and handcuff) there should be a hold option (would keep the suspect there no pickup units called), Then you should be able to search his car as another feature (With more chance of getting something, I always search trunks and NEVER find anything, Allthough I could use the vdH k-9 script to search it), but the main thing i'm trying to suggest is to hold the suspect there until a search is done, Then be able to Un-Hanfcuff them, Cause once you handcuff them you MUST arrest them from there (or just leave them there and they stay hanfcuffed forever until you leave the area)...I think it would be useful for searching places, Incase you don't find anything because it's hard to search somenes car after they get out because the AI just walk away then you lose them from the scene, would be more cop like. And yes, I know you can hold them already but then it's un-realistic, Because they just stand there (Unhandcuffed), And it sometimes glitches or the blip will stay on the screen.

No. A virus would slow your entire computer down, most likely not. did you install any mods since yesterday when it wasn't lagging? Mods can cause lag greatly to the game. You might want to get something called contig.exe (its a defragging program) look it up online, Try turning your video settings down in game (Pause game>Graphics and put some stuff on low/medium). Also the more you play games the more your hardware gets worn out from playing them (RAM, Video card graphics card etc.). Post your specs too.

Multiplayer LCPDFR works the same way Singleplayer does...In a way. In multiplayer, You all need to have the SAME exact mods, or you get errors like SMPA60 or just simply crash eventually. As for traffic stops, etc they all work the same they would in singleplayer, There is minor lag issues cars tend to slide (especially custom ones) etc. But other than that everything works kind of the same.

Why are you bumping? Replying multiple times is not going to get you quicker help, trying to get this to the top of the page. PM Braveheart about it, And what do you mean "Which one do I pick" You posted in the forum options for your post....At this point no one knows what your problem is, Or what you are trying to install. We would need your specs of your PC to see if you can handle gta:iv, You are getting disconnected in MP Because your FPS or internet is dropping below the point where it autokicks you. Please post your full list of specs.

Okay, First: Please give more details (With correct spelling and not half words). Second: Well....I can't really think of anything cause I don't know the problem, Seems like you said your game is crashing when you start SP with (Gta has stopped working/responding). Please be a lot more detailed on your problem, And also post your specs. Your pc may not be good enough to handle GTA:IV

What do you mean by "1 i5" If you mean you have a one CPU one i5 processor then that right there is not enough to run GTA. As for your grahpichs card, Not really sure you have good RAM but your processor....You would need at least an i7 4 core processor 3.0GHz. 1 core is just not gonna do it.

Don't use G siren, That has to do with ELS nor does it work for making people get out of the way. Do not press G at all, ELS + G = Siren selection. I just use the normal horn (H for me), If you hold G of course it's going to spazz out like that. Just plain in general don't use the G siren, It's a pain to work with and it doesn't make people get out of the way, Otherwise check your key bindings and see if anything is interfering with it, Or it could just be an ELS bug. What version of ELS are you using. EDIT: Also, You don't HOLD G you just simply hit G to change the siren type, But personally i don't like or use it because people do NOT get out of the way when using it.

Okay, So your processor might need some work, You have 4 CPU's but your GHz aren't too high. I'd go for an i7 processor 3.40GHz or in the 3.0 range, Also post your video card and Graphics card, You left some specs out :)

Um yes, You can't mod/Get LCPDFR on your ps3/xbox etc. Consoles. If you do, It's illegal so what he said was correct.

So this ONLY happens in Multiplayer.Hmm... Well for one, You and your friends (or clan) MUST have the EXACT same mods (nothing more nothing less) To play in multiplayer, If you all have different/less/more mods than each other, You can get crashing, (Possibly the script error you have) etc. As for the scripts just "Stop" working, Go to your GTA root directory and paste in your scripthook log file. Make sure scripthook is installed correctly and that everyone in the MP session as the exact same version.

Then uninstall EVERY mod/Custom car etc. And try to play until it works, Then u will know what mod it is. Or just re-install if all fails =/

I'll check out getting a cooling pad maybe, Unless i just move my spot I play on my laptop if i can find a good place and a hard surface

Are you running the LaunchGTAIV.exe and not GTAIV.exe. You need to run from the launcher, Also run it as admin.

Probably can't do that...Well....Whats a price range if i needed new hardware. Also i have another thought of maybe why this is happening....Well my video card's temperature LOWEST temp (Usually) is about 119 degrees (F). The lowest temp i've seen it is about 100 degrees (F). Could be that it's oveheating (my laptop is on my bed, And to add on the fans SUCK they blow super slow. I'm trying a flat surface to see if it improves it a bit)

Hi. I just installed GTA IV (I've been using EFLC now I have the original IV) and noticed two problems (One may be just a setting in lcpdfr). Correct me if this is in the wrong section but, One problem is the multiplayer with GTA. My game tends to lag, Cause of my crap laptop. Now this is an issue cause I'm in a clan with LCPDFR and I tend to play multiplayer.....Well that's hard when I get DC'd every minute because of "You're computer/game is running too slowly". Now I'm gonna go out and just say how can I fix this....Without getting a new computer. I have a commandline in my game to make it run a bit smoother, EVERYTHING is on low, And I've defragged my files in the folder. Nothing really more can be done....I think. Is there any way to make it so I can play multiplayer without getting kicked for low FPS. I even run GTA with game booster, yet i still lag...And the other problem IS lcpdfr related, I have a mod pack installed (not saying which), And when I pull someone over there is no "Pull over" or whatever voice said by me, Nor when I tell He/She (Who I pulled over) What they did. I'm going to assume that LCPDFR is in hardcore mode? (I've never played in hardcore mode, So is this what hardcore mode does, Cause when in a persuit there is no blip on the car, No sound when pulling over. Etc.). The first issue should probably be in GTA support so move it if you have to. Any help I would be thankful for, Since I really want to play multiplayer without getting DC'd frequently. EDIT 1: Disregard the question about hardcore mode, I've figured out that it is hardcore mode doing that.
