Well I have a backup of EFLC that I'm trying to play. It's the fresh game no mods at all, Has scripthook and stuff in case I mod it but I really just wanna play the dlc's over again. It loads up and gets to the two rockstar symbols, then crashes before getting to the screen letting me choose to play EFLC or normal gta. It's a backup so it's not really connected with steam and I plan on putting a few mods or maybe just a trainer, I can't do the title update (which might fix it) because it gives an error and says to check the logs. Found a video about it and added it back, Works fine now.

I seem to get this problem too, I have a commandline.txt in mine making it use more memory/RAM and such. I guess some mods might cause this like traffic flow but I certainly get this too.

First of all it's not a "Add on" it's a mod. Second, We're sorry that it can't be a 100000% perfect script, We'd like to see you try and make it better, Gta 4 is unstable in some ways and it's not easy to code a mod perfect. For one you probably installed it wrong, or just don't understand anything about it. Sorry that you're a newbie who knows jack shit about modding and the hard work that this modding community has put into it. Go play some other, Shittier mod like Pursuit mod but don't come in here and start crying about how buggy it is or that you can't understand it. Wrong section too.....I don't think there is even a section for this.

This is supposed to be in LCPDFR support, But while I'm here.... What operating system are you on? (If its windows 8, Refer to '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) Also run in compatibility if so. Otherwise looks fine, this will probably get locked if its a direct LCPDFR problem but all I can think of with that.

Please be specific in your answer to my question - Did you update to 1.0.7.0? Did you re-install completely? Did you try without ANY mods? What OS are you on? If you are on windows 8 you need to run compatibility and update to 1.0.7.0. Make sure your running LaunchGTAIV.exe as admin from the root folder.

When you CTD (Crash to desktop) does it output an error message or are you just crashing with nothing, Not even a stopped working? Delete all your mods and see if it continues. Uninstall all mods, delete your GTA folder and re-install. Make sure you are installing mods correctly, if its from shooting that's just kind of odd that it's crashing from that. Make sure your game is updated to 1.0.7.0, Most people need to update it to that, It's stickied in the gta 4 support on how to do that. All i can think of.

Well for one GTA 4 is a VERY demanding game when it comes to computer specs, you need a really good computer to run it on anything above low or medium. I have a craptop that's 3 years old and half broken with damaged parts and I can play the game on lowest settings with minor lag (20-30 FPS), Probably just like they said a worn out GPU or CPU but try putting everything on the lowest possible settings (Everything low, All sliders to 0 etc). Do that benchmark test still tho.

No. Re-installing won't do anything. This is not likely a problem with ELS, Are you using the ELS's version of the siren (Where you have to turn on all three lightmodes for it to activate), I never witnessed this but that really shouldn't happen. If it continues, Post it in LCPDFR support since it is associated with that but it probably has something to do with it using the normal GTA siren and the ELS one, But then again regardless in the LCPDFR script it makes it so he wont pull over, Honestly I don't know 100%.

Welp in a LCPDFR pursuit, If I call in heli support the helicopter is a flying police car with its lights on and no wheels with a light emitting from the bottom (The searchlight). This is kind of funny tbh but un-realistic/not good looking... Not sure what I did to cause that, I use an automatic vehicle installer for my custom vehicles so I don't know how I would of replaced something in the heli's model. Any suggestions on what might of caused this? And just because I put the words LCPDFR in there does NOT mean I'm trying to get LCPDFR support, This is a general gta problem. Its a model problem. This is not affected by the annihilator.

There's your problem. You can't put a car in a parking slot and mod it, That causes the error "SMPA60" You put a car in the save slot and mod it. Next time you start your game, The game has the car's name BEFORE you modded it (or info), The game tries to find the old information about the car and load that, but instead can't because it no longer exists - you placed it with a modded car. so it goes crazy and ends up crashing. - For a full explanation of SMPA60, Go here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> It's not a problem with LCPDFR but more your modded car and that slot. The only thing you can do is start a new game and do NOT save cars. This should be in GTA IV support since it is a gta error and nothing to do with LCPDFR but that's really the only way to solve it. Make sure to read the full explanation - It may not just be the saved cars, Car mods in general may cause crashes due to faulty setup or other reasons.

IMO the partner works pretty bad. For example: If you get out of your car and somebody hits you (Without a weapon, say their fists) He will shoot the living fuck out of him instead of warn him to stop or try and arrest him. Same goes during a pursuit, If you box in the guy who's running and he has no weapons, Cops in the area (Even with unauthorized lethal force) and your partner will open fire on him. Maybe also make it so the AI can arrest pursuit suspects and not have the pursuit still be ongoing after an ai does. If you let an AI arrest someone during a pursuit, The red blip stays on your sceen and you are still considered in the pursuit. That's enough about pursuits - Pretty much just saying improve the general police AI to be more...Police-ish. not much more to say.

No, That looks stupid. I'll try your solution, But let me ask - What does it exactly do? I'm guessing it changes the range of ELS flash/lights but how would increasing the number solve it? My Player one is set to 296, AI is about 190. What would increasing it do.

**Not sure if right section** Well obviously this is going to happen because ELS v7 is as im guessing kind of unstable, but using ELS 7 and other mods like LCPDFR causes me frequent crashing (Not SMPA60 as much as GTAIV.exe has stopped working). So basically if I call too much backup OR do too many pursuits (If I do about 3 pursuits thats the games limit), I crash. ELS for AI is enabled, Is there any way to make it so its not as like...detailed to say (and i mean ELS, My games settings are on lowest possible because of my craptop). I'll continue looking through the .ini file but I'm certian it's ELS cause of all the lights flashing at a pursuit or shootout, Which causes lots of lag as well. Anything I can do? I'm not downgrading to els 6 or 5.

This is a sudden thing...It worked fine the past 3 days. I changed my password and entered it correctly but regardless it shouldn't do this. I hit "Login" with the correct stuff, It says "Authenticating user" then the whole launcher stops responding for about 5 seconds, Unfreezes and says failed to login. I am launching it as admin and its been working how it was for the past 2 days it just suddenly started doing this today. I did update my game to 1.0.7.0 (Before this happened), I do have some scripts but I can't even enter the game now. Any suggestions? Why is it freezing, and more importantly why is this suddenly happening. I can play offline (Probably) but then I don't have my save(s) so I have to do the intro shit all over again/Drive to the apartment. LaunchGTAIV.exe freezes, then says "SecuROM is not responding" and unfreezes with failed to login.

If the police cars are NEAR the save spot that's fine, As long as the car itself wasnt in your save spot if it is, you're going to have to start a new game. You can uncheck PreLoadAllModels. I wouldn't mod the Fire Dept stuff, Probably too much. Just try with stock models first if it doesn't happen then add ONLY police cars, However if it still happens with stock get rid of any other possible model change such as a different police skin. All I can think of from there. Also did this ever happen before or is this your first time trying the mod?

Whoever said it was too many scripts is wrong, 100% wrong... SMPA60 is caused by TWO things - putting a car in a safe-house save spot and MODDING that car and having too many custom/modded cars (Especially with ELS). If a car is too high poly it will cause SMPA60 when used in excessive, For example if you go to a scene and try to call in 10 police backup, Most likely you are going to crash because of all the modded cars. For you, It's happening when you try to go on duty or enter the building to do so which is weird cause the cars don't load yet here. First solution try going to the FirstReponse.ini located in scripts and find "PreLoadAllModels = False", Change that to True. This will load the models prior to going on duty and may stop the error but if not, Try restoring your original vehicles.img file and not adding too many custom cars or mods all at once. Anything in excessive amounts is bad. If you didn't backup your vehicles.img that's on you, Hopefully you did.

Fixed it, Just a problem with the model placement.

I'll try that, And yeah I did I think cause I was installing some custom cars and certian ones looked better as a car that would come with backup or spawn more cause the cruiser (or patrol, i forget which) spawns more around the city and when you call for backup in lcpdfr. Would replacing those change the custom car to another slot like cruiser or something, Cause like I said one is a truck, one is a slicktop and two are normal looking patrol-ish cars and some of them would look stupid just going around on the time...(My point is you don't see 9 Undercover police cars at a crime scene).

Well I just got new ELS cars and it seems like most of the cars are messed up....when I get in one of the cars my feet are sticking out of the bottom and its pretty noticeable and annoying, tbh. Don't know why but its pretty much every custom car model. Looks like something out of the Flinstones.

The ELS folder I did put in my GTA folder but never edited anything inside. Also looks like I just crashed after calling in backup. One of my ELS trucks came by then dissapeared and then I crashed... Im gonna guess this is buggy but it does look really nice. I found some other ELS cars, Gonna test them out.
