GTA IV LCPD (Ferndale CVPI)
I love that car! I live just north of Ferndale and see those pricks all the time drving up and down Woodward Ave. I'm curerntly using NUTT's Mi. State Police crusier...sooo nice! Funny story; A Ferndale cop pulled me and my buddy over on a Friday night and he was quite a terse dick...that is until his patrol car smashed into my buddies car! When the rookie cop got out to talk to us he forgot to put his car in park. It kept rolling and slammed into my buddies car...then the CVPI kept going right past us down the road with no driver and the cop close behind on foot. The rookie had to run after the car down the street, jump in and put it in park. The car eventually stopped with a grinding bang! Was very funny, wish I had my phone ready...my buddy was pissed though since his car was a little messed up. Love the vid...thanks for posting. Good day, DrDetroit

HELP WITH TRAFFIC
Do you use the commandline.txt that came with it? I'm not using it, seems to run fine without it...don't really notice a difference either way. Just qurious what it's for? I'm assuming the commandlines most effective with pre-1.0.7 games. Good day, DrDetroit

Debate on keeping consoles
I want to get one just to play RDR since it was never released on PC (Why NOT dammit!). But one game is not enough to drop the $200 for a console, GTAV might push me to a (used) PS3 though. We'll see... Good day, DrDetroit

I'm Buying an Ex RCMP Crown Vic, Worth it?
You don't want a high mileage cop car, especially a patrol vehicle. My buddy has two supervisor cars (CVPI...03 and 08) and he loves those things. He paid about $7k-$8k and they were both under 50K in mileage when he picked them up (both are dark grey too). He's had a few small issues like fuel pump, ect. over the years but nothing major. The key is to find them with low mileage and more of a Lt. car or supervisior, something like that. You'll pay more, but you'll be glad you did. Offer the guy $400 and see if he'll split the difference with ya. Good luck! DrDetroit

HELP WITH TRAFFIC
I just tried it and it does work very well. No texture bug or taxi bug what-so-ever. Even with several ELS high-poly cars, no prob ...thanks for the link on this traffic fix, I'm going to use this one for awhile. The one option I love with Traffic Load is you can double the amount of peds (without doubling the cars) and it really jams up the sidwalks...looks life-like. Oh well.. Thanks for the heads up! Good day, DrDetroit

HELP WITH TRAFFIC
You hit the nail on the head Beckugan1....more cars the more issues with stability...no matter the machine (for the most part). I use Traffic Load without issue or texture pop simply because I keep my main police cars (1,2,3,4, noose, FBI) under 1meg WFT file with no ELS. There are some really nice non-els, low-mid poly cars out there under 1meg, The only car-slot I mod with a really nice, high poly, ELS ride is my nstockade OR pstockade and even then I get a tiny bit of texture flash from time to time, but it's sporadic and pops back so fast that it's well worth it for the car I'm using. Huge FPS Drop On Decent/Good Computer
Sounds like you have a background process running (or several running) that is causing the sporadic FPS. Go into process tab in your task manager and see if anything is running that shouldn't be. I kill everything that does not need to be running (windows update, MDM, Adobe Flash Player Update, AMD FUEL, IMF Service, etc...). If you're not sure what you're looking at, you can find software that will eliminate unneeded processes (Advanced System Care 6 is pretty good). Good luck! DrDetroit

Why dose Policeing script v2.2 crash every two calls?

42" LCD and GTA iv
I think you set the TV input to RGB (RBG??). That's how I did it, but looked crappy at 1080 to me. Good day, DrDetroit

Low polygon police vehicles
Try memturbo-4 or cacheboost to help with memory leaks. Search the forums, seems to help many whom have had the same problem (like me). Memturbo4 works best for my system, after using both. There is a tutorial on how best configuration settings somewhere in these forums. I keep my modded cars under 1meg and no els except on one car, which is a really nice high-poly high detail MSP CVPI (thank you Nutt!!) in the nStockade slot. I have no txture bug any longer since managing my modded cars a little better. Good day, DrDetroit

What Mod is this?
There are modded cars with real nice higher resolution interiors. Enjoy! It's virtually a new game with the FP mod. Good day, drDetroit

What Mod is this?
Do you mean the first person view? That is the First Person View mod. It's pretty awesome! I got mine from GTA4-mods.com I think. Good day, DrDetroit

Traffic Stop Scenarios
Yea, you can get gunned down fairly easy during traffic stops, especially in certain high-crime areas. If in "realistic" mode, you can only take a few point blank rounds before you're dead, so you gotta stay alert even when approaching a grandmother driving a Bentley during a traffic stop. All kinds of things go down that you'd never expect to see in a game that makes LC feel alive and dangerous. Pretty amazing piece of code. Good day, DrDetroit

Fun things to do when bored
Love it! I do the same, but not quite as many detail patrols as yours (now it will be). I try not to do too much as far as patrol area for any one "work" day goes (8-12hr shift 5-7 days a week...when done working at the cop shop, I go home and sleep or start my killin' spree and I do have a game-save slot for every day of the week). I par it down to "traffic", "foot" or "gang" patrols as well and I keep the patrol area size and tasks smaller and manageable, this allows for more efficient and detailed patrols in high crime areas (using crime map and crime charts that are available). I don't take every call-out either, just the ones that make sense for the duty I'm performing and location of the call-out. Great post LandWarrior. You should do some vids. Good day, DrDetroit

AI Police
I think it's Traffic Flow that has that feature. Use Traffic Load instead. Good day, DrDetroit

LCPD:FR Undercover Patrol [Taxi]
Thanks for the vid Hippy, nice one. A bit laggy, that's ok though. just use Bandicam instead of FRAPS, per Joey's post above, will let you smooth out the gameplay while recording. Good day, DrDetroit

Will you still buy GTA V for a console if it's not released on PC?
I'd hate to do it, but if GTA V is not released on PC, I'll have to break down and get a stinkin' console. Red Dead Redemption almost got me there, GTA V and RDR both not on PC...shame shame shame!! I'll have to do it I guess so I can play too. Question: What the hell happened with PC gaming? Use to be the only way to game properly was on a PC (still is if you ask me).,,now these sub-par consoles with not so great graphics and game play and totally un-modable platform. Playing on a TV no less at or less than 1080 resolution! Nasty shit indeed! I guess the price gap between a PC that can run a game like GTA IV (V) and RDR at high res costs about $1k for the box alone, and a console costs about $200 must be the sole reason, can't think of another reason. Too bad...PC's have to bridge that gap and pickup sales to compete. Anyhow, just don't seem right. Good day, DrDetroit
