I guess there is no backup on Braveheart calls. You have to accept a LCPDFR call to have backup. Generally, when a State Trooper I use Braveheart calls most of the time to get far call outs all over the city. I use LCPDFR calls when I'm a local LCPD officer for the most part. What would you guys suggest for a price point of about $600-$800? I'm seeing a lot of the CyberPowerPC, which seems like alot of PC for the money. Any other suggestion in that price point? No, don't do that. Braveheart is just a script that goes in your script folder (like most scripts). Just unzip the Braveheart Policing.cfg and Policing.net.dll into your script folder located in your GTAIV/EFLC folder. That's it. You probably put the file in your EFLC folder instead of script folder. If installed correctly, when the game opens/starts in Louise's apartment you'll see in the upper left hand corner of your screen a pop-up "Braveheart 2.2" or something to that effect. Memturbo4 is the only thing that worked for me. No matter how fast your machine, this happens to most who mod GTAIV. I tried everything, what I ended up with is non-els police1 and police2 and memturbo4. I am using tow mod, braveheart 2.2, coroner mod, no-overtake, els v5 -only for polpat and FIB-, police helper, radiance, traffic load). This setup, at least for me, seldom crashes, smooth frames and texture pop/missing textures issues gone. Memturbo4 will keep clearing ram and cache, which will resolve the memory leaks that result in missing/popping textures. Set Auto Recover and Target RAM as close to 55M as you can get the sliders. Apply, then optimize and Deep Scrub. In Program Booster tab, I have both selections checked and sliders maxed (all the way to the right). In the Config section, uncheck "Don't auto recover until CPU usage is 25% or less". I also set to auto recover every 5-minutes. Memturbo works! Hope this helps. Good day, Dr.Detroit

I think you can, but everything would be kinda fubar as far as the mechanics/physics goes. You would have to alter the handling, acceleration, etc. to make it work. I have interchanged police and police1 as they are essentially the same car, but not polpat to a poilice1. Good day, DrDetroit

ALT+F11 or Bravehearts Script use ALT+DELETE. I usually go and look into all the nooks, allyways and buildings to find tons of unscripted action. The AI will keep you very busy without call-outs every 2-minutes, if you keep your eyes open. Good day, DrDetroit

Regarding #2, I was thinking just a support or backup, since I do realize it would almost be impossible to go in the house/apartment. Basically the Noose guys would go in, but the player would stay outside and provide perimeter security/cover. The player may hear flash bangs, yelling and maybe shots fired, but would only provide cover in case some crackhead tried to leap from a window or run out the door. Mob or gang hideout hangout would be easier to setup as a sting operation as there are several restaurant interiors and clubs that the player and partner could raid without Noose (or with Noose). Similar to to domestic disturbance but a little more involved as far as spotting the client (suspect) while they eat or dance or whatever, covering the doors (a live partner could do that) and then moving into the shop/restaurant, slicing the pie with your backup and taking down the client peacefully (yea right, we know how this story ends!). You could opt to wait until they leave the restaurant/club and take them down on the street or in front of their homes or while they walk into a shop to buy their new suites...etc. Just a thought. Wish I could script, I would help out if possible. Maybe a youtube search will help me with that. BTW: I never actually followed the bait car to the final destination. I'll have to try that today. Would seem that it would be possible to incorporate a few drug sting scenarios. Where you would watch a buy take place on a corner or at a house, then you can take 'em down after the buy or follow the dealer to the stash spot and take 'em down there. Kinda like the bait car, but using a drug buy as the scenario. Also, another twist would be the player initiating an undercover drug sting where the player could do the buy and coordinate take-down as well. Also, a call-out as a Noose/FIB backup for a crack house raid or doing a surveillance and take-down of a mob/gang hangout would be an interesting call-outs as well. Would be neat to nab some crackhead bum jumping out a bedroom window during the raid. I'm not a programmer or anything, but would seem that the scripting some scenarios like that would be possible since the actions and animations are already implemented. Although, not being a programmer and without any knowledge of scripting, what the heck do I know. Would make for some nice call-outs and variety for this most excellent mod. Just a thought. Yes, for my setup it was a problem with some car mods. Something with the ELS and various car mods (ELS too) would crash my game. I had the same issue you are having using ELS (V5) and a few of the police car mods. After trying four ELS models, I kept getting "Out of Memory Error" so I reverted back to the stealth Suburban (Nice ELS version) I have been using without issue. Reverting back to that vehicle I knew worked solved the problem for me. No idea why the others would not work, but they all kept crashing my game soon as I turned on the lights (ELS) or when I would try to get out of the vehicle...boom, instant crash. I could drive around OK, but when I tried to do an action It crashed. Many many other models I use work just fine though. The commandline stuff may or may not work, I find that it mostly just slows my system down and limits it more than it fixes anything, but I bet if you try a few other cars, you'll find something you like and will not crash your system. The commandline stuff..blahhh, again, just seemed to slow my machine down and never fixed any of the texture fade/pop I was experiencing. The only thing that finally worked for my texture fade etc (after trying everything including commandline.txt) was to only use high poly mods and ELS on cars that don't spawn all the time (like polpat, Noose, police2 ect). That is what fixed every issue I had experienced, including texture fade/pop, crashes, slowdowns and disappearing policemen. Good luck, The LCPDFR mod is fantastic! Good day, DrDetroit

Use a different mod. Happens to me sometimes due to the mods incompatibility with something (scripts, other mods...who knows!). I just plug in a different car mod (one that I know works) and all is well in the world again. Good day, DrDetroit

Use the Traffic Load mod instead. I use to use Traffic Flow but you get the crazy ambulance drives and only 20 different vehicles. With Traffic Load you get ALL the cars in game and no F'ed up ambulance drivers. Also, I use the coroner most of the time. They are decent drivers and they will pickup bodies and clean up the scene. They also fix up the suspects that are still alive so you can then arrest the hunched over criminal. After a nice long shootout with a gang, a few times I had the coroners van stuffed with body bags and I didn't get run over by EMS. Good day, DrDetroit

Hello all, At times I'm getting carjacked every few minutes in most areas of LC while on patrol, even during traffic stops in mid-town Manhattan (Algonquin). It got so bad that last night I get car jacked while checking a DL. When I get up off the pavement to give chase, the carjacker is getting carjacked! Funny thing was that the second carjacker got away in my unmarked cruiser and while arresting the first guy, a few minutes later I see a black and white LCPD drive by with the second guy in the back seat. Apparently he was apprehended, couldn't believe it actually...thought that was pretty cool. Again, last night I get carjacked on my way to work by the doorman at The Plaza (called The Majestic in game). That took me off guard. Anyhow, any way to minimize the bad guys from carjacking me while on duty? Right now, if I see a guy running at me rounding my bumper to get at my door, I'll back up a bit then run his ass over. I'll then call for the coroner (who sometime says "looks like he tried to fly."...thought that was funny). I didn't see anything in the config files that would alleviate this. Thanks for the help. I don't think it's as pronounced with Bravehearts 2.2 script. When I'm leaving my home, sometimes I'll put a sticky bomb in the hallway leading out to the front door/street. When I get outside I'll trigger the bomb and get about 7-15 people running at me, pissed off, trying to kick the crap out of me (some park their cars and get out to attack me). I was able to take out all 10-perps with my BBbat easily with the newer 2.2 version... 2.1 and earlier, it was almost impossible to do so. Good day, Drdetroit

Use the Coroner instead of EMS. The EMS guys will get you killed (they run over everything and everyone) and the Coroner is chill and will revive the body if he/she is still alive. Good day, DrDetroit
