EM4 is a RTS (Real Time Strategy) game, whereas GTA IV is a third person adventure/shooter, and it's quite buggy. You only have one or two services to take care of in multiplayer, which adds even more depth, you'll have time to set up your units well at incidents.

I've been playing HC exclusively for the last months, the only difference I've noticed are the lack of dots on the minimap,and weapons being more powerful.

The thing that worries me is that SOPA is getting all the attention, being branded "the great firewall of America", so they might spin PIPA as the "compromise", the media companies has deep pockets.

Leicestershire used to have a livery similar to the Met livery, and Humberside stuck with their own livery for quite a while after the introduction of battenburgs, before that every force were responsible for their own design.

It's possible to tweak the freeplay settings in the "fp_params_endless.xml" for the endless mode, or the "fp_params_challenge.xml" for the challenge mode, I usually set so I only have one or two events to take care of at once. you can find the files in the "/mods/*Mod Name*/specs" folder. It can be very slow paced when you're just dealing with thefts and minor medical emergencies, but it's a different story when you have a traffic accident with 15-20 injured and vehicles on fire.

Look into various mods, I prefer the Winterberg as it's very automated compared to other modifications, but it is very difficult when you start out. Los Angeles and New York are from the same people, so they're roughly similar, and easy to get the hang of.

It's only named 911:First Responders in America. It's known under the "Emergency" series in Europe. Run as far away as you can from Emergency 2012 and go with Emergency 4 instead. The game itself is quite short lived, the "story" mode is boring, and standard freeplay is uninteresting at best, you need to find some mods to make it interesting, There's the Los Angeles / New York mod for those that are into American stuff, and for those that are into Euro stuff there's the Hamburg, Frankfurt and Winterberg, the latter being a challenge to get the hang of.

It works on my 0.95RC1, I can't do that nightly build account thingy so I'm "stuck" with the RC Riot=War at times, it feels like war when you're being pelted with various missiles.
