Not even remotely related to LCPDFR, moved to random

Our host (LCPDFR.com) has had some trouble with blocking access from certain IP ranges, which is why I didn't post any updates here. Possible future stream options are Train Simulator, FCRP, ARMA, SWAT and Driver:SF stuff.

It is actually a good strategy, they provide the game, albeit in a toned down version for free of charge, but you ARE able to experience the core gameplay and decide if you want to invest in it, they do the same with the two DLC packs, the British Armed Forces and Private Military Company, the content from those packs are readily available in game, but the textures are not high quality, it means that everybody can play together, unlike most other games where DLC content can only be played by those who owns the DLC content. So yes, it is actually bad, for them, it could mean less sales, or some do like what I did, I bought the two packs because I wanted to support the team behind it, plus now the objects looks great. Their other options would be to release a shitty demo that wouldn't give players a time to experience what ARMA is, or they would have no demo at all and people would be forced to pay for it, instead they've chosen to give people a chance to try the core game features before they buy it, and it is really worth it, especially now during the steam sale. There's a lot of contempt towards DayZ from those who originally bought it for a tactical shooter, I don't want to call it a military sim, because nothing can be a military sim, only the VBS v2, which is also developed by Bohemia interactive, and are used by several Armed Forces around the world to train soldiers. What the "original" players of ARMA is fearing, is that DayZ will skew the main idea behind ARMA, that it will become a sandbox zombie game instead of the best military game out there. I agree wholeheartedly with Harper who says that DayZ is the cancer that is killing ARMA, but the mod has clearly shown the need for such a game, it would be a perfect Add-on, or even a separate game, only using the ARMA engine, just like Iron Front : Liberation 1944 does, however the problem with this solution would be that people would be up in arms over having to pay for a project they previously didn't have to pay for.

There's two different projects who are not related to each other in any way. For Grand Theft Auto IV theres the LCPDFR: The Liberty City Police Department First Responders mod. For Grand Theft Auto San Andreas there's the SAPDFR: The San Andreas Police Department First Responders mod. SAPDFR is not in any way affiliated, endorsed or supported by LCPDFR.com or G17 media in general, the developer(s) of SAPDFR has attempted to mimic LCPDFR in may ways, and could in some aspects be regarded as plagiarism. You need Grand Theft Auto IV if you want to play LCPDFR. We'll have to refer you to the creators of SAPDFR if you need help with that mod, Google should be able to help you out.

I would have added the towmans series, however they are just amber versions of Whelens emergency lightbars. I'll add the Hazard bars later, thanks for the input guys, I haven't even heard of that company before.

Just FYI: you can't use the LCPDFR MDC or the default siren on non-police car slots. You should be able to change what bodyguard peds that are spawned in the bodygard/ped spawning menu in SNT.

You could have sent this in a PM to him, threads are meant to address the general member base and not one or two members. The model looks nice, Chasez did the CVPI model that are used by most modders if I recall correctly, so he might agree to give an unlocked model to a trusted modder.

It's not a Whelen Edge Liberty, Just a Whelen Liberty, the EDGE series is a seperate series from the LFL Liberty series.

I get the appeal, but their over dramatic speaking and use of audiovisual effects ruins it for me, they were trying so hard with the old episodes that it's hard to watch, I'll give the new show a watch soon though.

Why did you post that, it had no relevance whatsoever, that's the most useless advice I've seen someone give on here in a while, don't post anything if you can't add anything useful. Don't call anyone else dumb when you're the one being stupid, you recommended a mod that was nothing like what the OP was looking for, there's no point in whining about the downreps, which in this case was deserved.

As far as I know, it depends on the "maxnumberofworldevents" in the config file, as well as your vehicle density settings.
