  1. Swear to god, that link issue is a pain in the ass.
  2. I can't even fathom why you think that they deliberately flashbanged a child in a crib? Police pay the bills. It was an accident. Flashbanging rooms like that is safer for officers, you can't just take a quick peek into a room that could possibly have an armed individual inside. Plus, you can't surprise them, they're not deaf, they've probably heard the commotion in the house already, and if they were armed they'd be ready to shoot at any sign of movement by the door. And that's how a police officer takes a bullet to the eye. You should not be doubting the procedures used by police at that time, there is quite a lot of pressure on officers in situations like that, and they might not have time to think 100% about what they're doing. Accidents happen. I'm not mad at this story now, but if the police don't pay the bills and make some sort of apology, I'll be mad then.
  3. Agreed - could've scared people a bit more to make it more effective.
  4. Made my day. Thank you for this topic.
  5. Goddamn slush is what I got. For one hour. It sucked.
  6. Same here. I know a lot of people who have just sold GTA V after they finish the campaign, which I think is just a waste. There's so much more to games than just the campaign. I never sell my games - I love the feeling and nostalgia of playing a game I haven't played in 2 years.
  7. My answer would be "not many"
  8. oh shut the fuck up. The reason that all the people who believed that the earth was flat stopped believing that it was flat is because the theory that it was round made fucking sense and there was goddamn shit ton evidence. What you're doing right now is being like someone who still believes the earth is flat, despite the fact that it is observable that it's not flat, and there is evidence. I'm absolutely positive that the goddamn scientists know better what they're fucking talking about than you and your grandfathers. This isn't even a debate, this is all of us trying to diffuse your sheer density. Moderators, my apologies for the excessive swearing.
  9. Oh look, the level of heated debate in here is almost equal to that of a topic that is in the politics board. Hmm...
  10. Everything which you have just said is incredibly dense. I'm not even going to waste my time responding to every single void and absolutely silly point that you just made. Good day.
  11. Cheers to you, good sir. I'm actually fairly positive that there is a significant amount of evidence to support evolution (most of which is not observable, due to the incredible time span of which evolution takes place). And it is worth mentioning here that most scientific theories are just that - theories. It's the most credible and sensible ones (like the theory of evolution) that generally get accepted by everyone. I suppose you're right, there's no way to prove it, bit that's the exact same as most scientific ideas. Also, I could say likewise, there's no proof for your genetic mutation theory having occurred over such a long period of time with such significant results. However, I believe it to be accurate because as that fellow said before, genetic mutation is a significant piece of the evolutionary process. PS: I'm absolutely sure that evolution has made sense to a significant portion of the population for more than 5 minutes as you claim.
  12. I'll stick with Windows 7.
  13. Microsoft is just trying to hype people up. I'd bet this will only ever be a proof of concept. Take the Oculus Rift for example, it's never going to be a household item because there are problems with it. It's just a unique proof of concept. Sure, these "holograms" are cool but it's just through some glasses and it probably looks strange and wouldn't work well. Great concept though.
  14. Can't really put CVPI in there, but I'd say I've been having a newly found appreciation for the Ford Explorer :)
  15. What really pisses me off is that they advertised multiplayer heists in the trailers. Fuck you Rockstar, you told me I'd get a game with heists where I can rob banks with my friends and I'm still waiting for that and it's been over a year. They should not have put that shit in the trailer, because they should have known it would take well over a year to actually get that shit into the game. Free DLC or something that would have been released after the initial game launch. As far as the pushed release date goes, I'm annoyed by that as well. As someone has already said above, don't give us a release date unless you're absolutely sure that the game will be ready to play by that time. Otherwise, don't get me hyped up. GaAaAaAHhHhHhH fuckin Rockstar!
  16. Most people who have committed aggravated assault are likely to repeat their offences if they are given back gun rights or are allowed to become police officers or members of the military. People would abuse the shit out of a system that forgives and returns the rights back to potentially dangerous people just by taking a class or getting an expungement. You need to look at this from a police departments point of view - you are looking for potential police officers who have obeyed and are willing to enforce the law. These people need to be qualified and must have shown in their past that they can be responsible. So, an applicant comes to you and says "I shot a little kid in the back with a BB gun and was arrested for aggravated assault" and there are most likely many other more qualified applicants with clean records, you would probably choose the ones who have clean records over the felon. Also, someone said this above, but saying "I deserve forgiveness and my gun rights restored" gives off the impression that you aren't taking responsibility. Instead of working towards proving that you can be a good citizen (community service, other public servant jobs etc etc.) you are trying to brush it off as if it was something minor and that you are an exception to everyone else. This WILL matter in a recruitment setting. The recruiter is looking for specific character traits, and taking responsibility for your actions is one of them.
  17. Ah - the topic on forgiving felons you made awhile back makes a lot more sense now...
  18. I suspect like you would any other ELS light. Just place the reverse light shaped ELS thingy on top of the reverse lights. There's nothing like specially hooking up the actual in-game reverse light (the light that would appear when you're in reverse) to ELS or anything. Don't quote me though, I read this somewhere awhile ago, and I'm no ELS expert.
  19. Going to another country won't help you here. The best you can really do is hope for a lucky break for police work, but unfortunately, the chances are very slim. I would recommend the military. Honestly, police officers only take up a fraction of the population - there are always other amazing careers to pursue, and while being in the military doesn't have much social appeal, you're still helping citizens in foreign countries from the oppression of terrorist groups like ISIS. Even just being in the military would make you more likely to be expunged and possibly become a police officer. It's an unfortunate business. But don't give up, find something else you want to pursue. Edit: Also, petitions are really not going to help you here. Ineseri also has no special powers (at least, that's what we all believe...)
  20. Appalling. Signing. Edit: Well, I'm Canadian and it doesn't look like I even can sign it because I don't have a ZIP. Shit.' Edit 2: Nevermind, just signed it!
  21. This was really, really, really fulfilling to watch. It's amazing that when someone opposed to use of force is put into a police officers shoes, their opinion can change just like that. Lesson for today? Comply with the police. Trying to be defiant, or even sometimes demonstrating your rights can get you shot. A police officer doesn't know what you have in your waistband, and they don't know what's going through your head. Police have every right to suspect that you may have a weapon or intend to cause harm if you are demonstrating violent or disorderly behavior.
  22. Police brutality anyone?
  23. Agreed, Vevo doesn't belong there
  24. KevinDV, you're the real MVP.
