  1. As I suspected. No issues regarding LCPDFR crashing lower down. I would strongly advise you wipe your GTA IV directory clean, reinstall GTA IV and then only install the latest version of LCPDFR. Then try to run the game again. If you have no further issues with random crashes we can safely assume it was a combination of mods causing the crash. You can then go ahead and reinstall each mod one at a time to try and see which was causing the issues.
  2. Install SparkIv to it's own unique folder in a suitable location (Such as program files) and run a shortcut to the .exe from your desktop would be the best bet. @Will having it installed into the GTA Directory shouldn't cause any issues at all, GTA IV will only load files it's told to load, scripts get loaded because another script tells it to load and so on and so forth, nothing should be telling GTA IV to load any of the SparkIV files, but it's best to play it safe. @OP Can you please post your ScriptHookDotNet.log file? If there are any crashes low down they will be recorded there. It seems to me that LCPDFR isn't actually causing this crash but we will only know with this file for certain.
  3. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff as it has been posted in the wrong forum section. This forum is not for LCPDFR support requests. 4. To be perfectly honest, if you've committed a crime and been sentenced for it, served your time and then been released again. Your life is far from over. There are plenty of things you can do, volunteer work for example, that will pick you back up and help you. We had an ex convict visit our college while I was there (I'm at university now) who was part of a volunteer program in which he went around talking to college students about how prisons work, and what it was like going through that experience. The end result and pretty much the purpose of his talk was to deter young people away from resorting to crime, he told us a lot about how it closed a lot of doors for him whereas going to college and getting good grades would be ultimately the best decision to make even if it wasn't "cool" in your friend's eyes. He even spoke about peer pressure and how "hey mate I dare you to smoke this" might seem fun at the time but 2 years later slams you behind bars for possession of an illegal drug. His life isn't over, in fact I would say it was opening up for him, he get's to wear a suit and go around changing other people's lives by being an example to society. However, there are certain places that should remain shut. Law enforcement should be one of those, yes alright you may well have forgotten about the crime you committed and the public may have too, you may well have been doing hundreds of hours volunteering to prove your worth. But at the end of the day, you have to be in the absolute highest position of trust when working for the Law/EMS, and that doesn't come with criminal history. It's like applying to work for a car dealership when you have a history of crashing cars. They will say no wont they. You may not think it's fair. But they are acting out of the best interest for their company. It's the price you have to pay, some doors stay closed when you take a regretful path in life.

  6. MODERATOR NOTICE Moved topic from LCPDFR Support Requests to GTA IV Support Requests. The LCPDFR Support Requests forum is for issues with the LCPDFR mod itself. Also, please note that Abraxas is no longer active on the forums and has left the modding scene for personal reasons. As a result there will likely be no standard fix for this issue, only user attempts at bypassing it.
  7. The issue is a missing dependency meaning it cannot find/access AdvancedHook.dll Run the Diagnostics tool and see what it says, and post back the results. Also can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory so we can see everything from top to bottom please.
  8. I see, well I guess it wont help that the Frisk script crashed just before mine did. Nonetheless I have amended the issue you had (hopefully) As above, has been fixed for the next release. for everyone else beyond this point........ Reporting a bug? Please check out the OP for a list of known bugs.
  9. Fixed the officer down bug hopefully, am trying to figure out why the paramedic is looping that task for you (he isn't set to, nor should it loop at any point during his arrival) Been through your log with a fine tooth comb, pulled out most of the errors involving Callouts+ and have fixed them for the next release. Thanks. Hopefully fixed this bug for the next release. Thanks. Why are you trying to revive him? It clearly says in the documents AND on the screen that your task is to find the suspect and that the officer will be dealt with automatically. Also, your log files shows an error with the Frisk script. That is something built into LCPDFR and not Callouts+. Did I not reply to your post? Here is why... If I didn't reply to your post it's probably because you didn't attach an error logs. I can't respond to you and help you without knowing what the issue is with the plugin. It may also have been a case where you were simply replying to someone else with the words "same issue" or similar. This again is not at all helpful to me and actually makes it more difficult for me to go through everyone's posts. It says it in the readme and has been said multiple times by myself and others. Please. Post. Your. Log. Files. Thanks to those who reported issues with the necessary log files and information. I'll hopefully get them all fixed as soon as I possibly can.
  10. Added an option in the config file so you can choose a quick spawn method. This is applied to all of the dispatcher vehicles (ambulance, tow truck and removal team). When it is set to true, the vehicle will spawn a couple of feet outside the catch area that tells them to stop their vehicle and get out. Essentially this means it will spawn on the scene, do what they need to do and then drive away as if it was normal traffic. I wont be adding the super speed option (teleport in, remove, teleport out) because that is utterly pointless. You might as well just spawn a barrier inside the car forcing it to delete itself, or ignore the corpse that is on the floor and let GTA IV handle it's removal. This feature will be made available in the next public release, which will be out once I have been through everything to try and improve stability.
  11. I've released a new patch fix, beta 3. Hopefully this will address the few crashes still left behind and make slight amendments to the driving ability of the various dispatch units. Again sadly I am limited to GTA IV AI so if they start smashing through vehicles etc there really isn't much I can do. I've also made it so the paramedic, and the tow truck and driver are exempt from the barriers script (so they will drive right around them) which may reduce glitches too.
  12. That has to be the most hilarious report I've ever seen. :D The issues you have seems to be related to the fact that both the ped and the truck are stopped by the barrier. I'll add an exception to the barriers script and see if I can clean up the driving a little so they actually make it to you rather than total a wall. Unfortunately I am limited to GTA IV AI so don't hold your breath for this lol.
  13. MODERATOR NOTICE Moved topic from LCPDFR Support Requests to GTA IV Support Requests LCPDFR Support Requests is for issues with the LCPDFR mod itself. Have you read the readme that comes with ELS V8 as well as any other documentation? Have you been through and checked all of the ELS values in the config file are to your satisfaction? Also, the default keys for ELS (to my knowledge) are 'J' for primary lights, 'K' for secondary lights and 'L' for warning lights (Not sure about this last one, might be takedowns) Generally speaking you have to press 'J' 3 times to get the main setting for primary lights (unless the vehicle has this defined in it's own customisation file) Alternatively you can use Control + Backspace to toggle on Express mode which will make the lighting function the same as the default GTA Siren (G toggles lights and siren then)
  14. I never fixed the issue you reported. Why? You reported a game freeze, that could be down to literally anything and without a log file (I recognise you didn't get one) I can't fix your issues. The issues I fixed with 0.5 b2 were to deal with the actual errors that were crashing the plugin itself, not GTA IV, these have yet to be reported on by the public. I'm sorry you are having stability issues with 0.5, again without knowing why this is there is nothing I can do about it. Thank you for sticking with a previous version. Hopefully as new fixes become available you will find the newer versions more stable. Please note however that I cannot provide support for the older versions, so you will have to deal with any issues you encounter on your own.
  15. This ^ Also MODERATOR NOTICE Moved topic from Gaming to General & Miscellaneous Discussion as the software in question is not a game judging by their website.
  16. Policing is time consuming ;) Glad you've found a solution.
  17. Hi, Some scripts already have cleanup features included in them internally (for example most callouts from LCPDFR should set the vehicles as no longer needed and thus they will despawn naturally, or delete them when not required) or as special features. If you use Callouts+ for example I have included 2 removal methods, you can either call for a tow truck (which has been integrated with the LCPDFR API and should not tell you a person is inside) or you can call for a removal officer who will drive the vehicle out of existence when it gets beyond the players draw distance. You can also use the dirty method of spawning a barrier in the place of the police car, this will force it to spontaneously pop out of existence (although this is not a design feature, it's how GTA manages it, and can cause issues if the vehicle is frozen in place) Alternatively, grenades work really well (although I appreciate this isn't ideal)
  18. Let's all be realistic here guys (assuming of course, you did give them $15 million: Sam would attempt to buy out Apple, rage when they laughed at him and said no, buy a new madbook and then sit in the teamspeak saying "how dare Apple besmirch my good name". LMS would probably put the money into something useful (and buy more hats). would buy more kebabs. Sniper296 would finally upgrade his internet to virgin Media. I'm so dead for this...
  19. Yes I have been bitten by a dog actually, It was a cream coloured labrador. I ran to it as a young child in order to ask the owner if I could stroke it, the dog saw differently and chased me and sunk its teeth into my left arm. As a result ever since that day any dog that barks or growls at me I am actually scared of. I'm 20 years old and a dog can scare me like any other human. The point you're making here regarding ordinary dogs I do hugely agree with. They can be trained how the owner wants to train them. This is why I massively disagree with the very very badly written Dangerous Dogs Act we have here in the UK. A dog is not dangerous unless it's owner abuses it and trains it to be violent to all people. In my case the previous owner had abused the dog and it was rescued from a shelter by the owner at the time of the incident, so the dog was essentially acting out of what it still thought was normal. And yes I can see the point of view in that setting a dog loose on someone is wrong be it police or non-police. But I still stand strongly in favour of police dogs. I would rather see a suspect who is very well known to the police taken down by a dog than read in the news that he ran into a forest and evaded the police before we could scramble the helicopter and thus is still at large.
  20. To everyone that is currently having issues with version 0.5 of this mod: If you encounter the following error in your LCPDFR log as a result of callouts+ System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Please can you try to run the plugin on it's own (in other words, only run LCPDFR 1.0c and callouts+) and report back your findings. the issues you are all getting did not happen once during testing (this was verified by another user). I also further tested by using the download version rather than my development build (thinking maybe it was a build issue) but this returned the same error free results. It seems it may be an issue with running 0.5 and other mods, but this is unconfirmed. Rest assured I am investigating the issue and hope to get a patch fix out as soon as I can. Thanks for all the reports so far. EDIT: Possibly fixed the issues, uploading the new beta 2 release now. Please go download it and test it. I also added a nice friendly pdf user documents file for you folks that like to read :)
  21. Again I can't really comment on the whole "kill it for safety" thing because that just doesn't happen in the UK. Our police can't turn and shoot a dog if they think it is dangerous, they're not equipped to do so. I am fully aware of what a dog is capable of in the wrong hands but I do think you are over exaggerating a little. Take England for example, in 2014 a BBC reporter requested data on dog attacks on innocent victims. 150 incidents were reported in the past 3 years. That's 150 incidents across 42 of the 48 police forces in England, there's more than 53 million people in England (2011 data) That's 0.00028% of the population bitten by police dogs, and yet everyone goes crazy. Those people were compensated, and of course the angry people complained. The issue there is 1 little incident freaks someone out and they go on a vengence against all police dogs. Those statistics do not account for the number of successful arrests as a result of a police dog being used. It happens for most things, 1 person gets shot by a madman and the entire family of that victim are all shouting angrily "this is why the police should have guns". 1 person gets attacked by a police dog due to a mistake/accident and the family are all shouting angrily "all police dogs should be banned".
  22. Just have to say, if a police dog is "attacking" a human, you probably are already labelled a criminal (why else would the police dog go after you?) Things may be done differently where you live, but I know in the UK if an officer considers a dog in someone's property to be a threat to their life, they will call in fully trained dog handlers who will remove the dog from the premises and take it into care until the owner can reclaim it (should they be allowed to). They don't just shoot it in the face for "safety" reasons. I imagine the police where you live would react in a similar fashion if you had a different stance on firearms. but that's not what we are here to debate. To the OP I think police dog's work is dangerous, much like police work in general. It's not fair to treat a police dog and a police officer any different. Both need huge amounts of training, both need to keep fit and both are at risk of the same risks. They both perform the same duties, so if you're against police dogs, you must also be against police officers, and if that's the case you've probably been collared once already (pun fully intended)
  23. Thanks, I'll go through my code with a fine tooth comb and see if there is anything which might be causing this. No, no idea at all. Did you read the readme? The bit at the bottom where it says to post your lcpdfr.log file? I guess not. Seriously, I can't help you unless you attach the lcpdfr.log file. That logs all the errors, without it I can't possibly know what is going wrong for you.
  24. Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me please as well as your full LCPDFR.log, AdvancedHook.txt, and ScriptHookdotNet.txt files. (if when replying you click "More Reply Options" you get the attachment option at the bottom) This may also help but requires more resources ^
  25. Confirmed it works perfectly my end with the download version rather than the development build I use. Have you tried without the custom police vehicle?
