Assuming you've soaked up the remaining liquid... Hoover/vacuum then use an upholstery cleaner of some form, leave for 15 mins, wipe away excess and hoover/vacuum again. Leave doors/windows open for an hour or so to allow the remaining smell to clear, put air freshner in the car and leave it. should be fine afterwards. PS. I have no idea what pinesol is so I'm just guessing.

error in script lcpdfr_loader.loader
That's a nice 1911.dll crack you have there. LCPDFR does not support cracked copies of GTA IV. If you wish to use LCPDFR, go out and buy GTA IV from your local retailer or online, it's cheap on Steam now due to the winter sales. Nothing to see here! All New Road Textures [WIP]
These look really good, well done. My advice personally would be to desaturate some of the colours, the grass and the yellow lines in places look far too vibrant for my liking. It would be nice to match the colours a little more with the GTA IV look, so just desaturate them a little bit and they should be fine I think. I'll be using these when I next revive my GTA IV folder. :)

Game crashes when Alt+Tab
Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR. You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them. Please do the following: Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only" Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder. Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation. Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself. Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012 If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post. If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following: Give a clear, detailed description of the problem. Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem. State what solutions you have tried. Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log). Include as much information as possible. Post your system specifications. Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

I'm really struggling with this. There have only ever been 2 characters who have made me really enjoy something. I am going to have to go with the newest of the two though.......

AI in police pursuits
I'm aware of the SNT feature that lets you do that, my point remains though that they still compete for that space, they would still crash and there would still be issues, just behind you. All you did was move it. As for TLaD. Yes the biker AI is good, but then you're asking LCPDFR to have features that only work in TLaD. The natives aren't available across the DLC (i.e TBoGT has natives that GTA IV doesn't have etc) I also don't think the ones which control the AI bikers are exposed to a scripthook or similar so are unavailable for our use. (I may be wrong though, LMS is the one who likely knows about this) I'm with you that better AI in pursuits would be amazing, but there is only so much you can do with the base AI in GTA IV. You can paint your poo gold as much as you like, it's still poo at the end of the day.

AI in police pursuits
If you set it to drive to the XYZ position of the player that is relative to the mapping system and NOT the heading of the player. (eg. player position Y - 5 will always be 5 SOUTH of the player, Y+5 is 5 NORTH etc) Doing the maths to figure out the position 5 meters BEHIND the player (relies on the heading of the player) is not difficult, it's just more maths which you have to evaluate each tick to ensure the AI doesn't fuck up. It's not necessary when you can just say "chase suspect" and let the GTA IV hard coded AI deal with it. As for the invisible wall, that was me badly explaining something. If you check in code (if statement) for a specific condition (in this case distance to the player) it will only evaluate to true if that condition is met eg if (distance <= 5). That's great and all but, what do you actually do then if they do get to the desired place (less than or equal to 5)? Well you can force the cop car to stop which would cause horrendous issues behind you and look worse than it does now. (forcing the car to stop literally means instant stop. Which would cause a huge pile up or very dodgy traffic problems). Alternatively you could re-task them to drive to the player but slower. This issue there though is that it won't solve the problem because the AI cop will "slow down" but still drive directly at the player so if you stop, or you do anything other than go forwards, you'll have 1 to 20 cop cars up your ass (huge pile up, probably death). Also, if you do stop, AI COP 1 will crash into you which will cause your position to change, meaning they are no longer at your position so will crash into you again. Same applies for the rest of the cop cars. If you didn't want them to crash into you you would need to evaluate the code faster, which means more cycles of the logic, which means more processing power, which means heavier use of resource on your pc. GTA IV is resource heavy enough on it's own without LCPDFR. This would kill several machines if you did it too fast. Also, by the time you have gotten out of your car for the code to evaluate this and reset the AI to chase the suspect, you'd have been run over 6 times, killed and the game then crash because player does not exist for the AI to evaluate distance to. Now to explain what I meant by the other AI cop cars handling this. Each time the program cycles through this code it has to evaluate the players position and compare it to every single AI cop car behind the player. If you have 1 cop car, fine, it will tailgate you rather happily until your pc eventually dies (a very long time basically), but if you add a second one, it is now fighting for the most pinpoint accurate position possible. you cannot fit 2 peds at a specific coordinate, let alone 2 cars. So each one will nudge the other out of the way, now multiply this by however many cop cars you have in the chase and you will end up with explosions behind you due to vehicle damage. You're also having to evaluate a lot of different positions in order to ensure every car stays where it is meant to. This isn't a case of "A little bit more unrealistic", its going to cause more issues than it already does, it will look a lot worse and the game won't play the same. However, I am just talking from my experience based on what I know and how the AI handles driving to points (see my ambulance, or my removal team etc, I have done lots of behind the scenes experimenting with the AI's travelling style too), it could be that LMS or Sam pulls a rainbow out of their ass and produces some highly efficient super epic piece of code which makes this possible, but they would be rewriting game AI to do this from what I know. I guess we will just have to wait and see if they take you up on this, but personally, I don't think it's worth it.

AI in police pursuits
I'm still heavily against them following the player. I don't know maybe the genius mind of the dev's could make it work, but to me it sounds too daft. I mean, if you were playing it realistically you first off wouldn't be the lead officer every time, you would be backup in some pursuits, which would cause havoc with the AI following you. You may well drive reasonably and skillfully but the AI can't. It doesn't matter how much you try, the AI drives the way GTA IV tells it to, you can't tell them to drive any other way without complicating things or causing more issues. Yes having them follow at a distance is easy (not the way you suggest though, because they would get horrendously stuck when you begin travelling along the X-axis) you would have to have a complex check to ensure they are ___meters behind you (which requires checking orientation of the player and the AI, it also becomes algorithmically complex because for each AI you have to check it's position, which scales per car added). But if you did have them follow behind, say you do lose control of the car or you stop for whatever reason, suddenly all of the AI behind you hits that invisible wall (distance check) and goes from 60mph to much much slower (depending on the player's speed etc), how would you go defining if an AI car is past the distance check when they are already hard hitting the brakes to stay behind you. It would look god awful aesthetically, would be as unrealistic as it already is and would even cause pile ups behind the player (which I guess is some improvement because then you can't see the chaos) As for the felony stop I mean press shift to cancel the stop, aim your gun at them and order them out of the car using the keybind. Traffic AI in GTA Iv will keep them in place by the roadside until they can pull out into traffic, so you have a bit of of a window to issue the command. Order them out of the car then at gunpoint still "detain on foot" or whatever and voila, one felony stop. I'm not against the felony stop idea by the way, I rather like your suggestion, I'm just providing you with an alternative until such a thing exists.

AI in police pursuits
Having them follow you is a bad idea, if you crash into another car or miss a turning while in a pursuit, or if you end up rolling over a lamppost into a hedge the AI is gonna follow you into said hedge, the suspect will almost always get away (I say almost because there could be a rare occasion where he too crashes and dies). This would kill my street race callout which has 2 vehicles split, it would kill any instance where an ordinary pursuit leads to the passenger escaping on foot/jacking another car, and it would also make the player more prone to witnessing pile ups. Having them follow at a distance so they don't ram you when you brake hard, well see this is hard coded and can't really be done realistically. Telling the cop to follow the player/suspect means they will go to the exact location of the player/suspect. If you stop, they crash into you, reverse and suddenly they are not where you are again so they crash into you (repeat previous until explosion or violent rage of anger/quit occurs). I do like the idea of a traffic stop automatically becoming a felony stop if they have a warrant for arrest etc, but for now, as with many of the answers to the felony stop suggestion, you can just cancel the traffic stop and order the suspect out of the car, gun drawn and then handle it as a felony stop. The AI LCPDFR has should then randomly assign the suspect to flee or surrender (I'm not sure if this is built to consider the warrant they have or not, but I do believe that warrant/information sticks with them even if you cancel the stop, until the game deletes them from memory, I'm sure the dev's would correct me if I'm wrong).

New LCPDFR Community Groups
Most VIP groups are based on donations from what I've seen (donate X amount to receive ____). even so, if you make it a purchasable thing you're getting an even bigger floodgate for "I paid for this!" resulting in angry PM's to staff or "You suck" attitude in the public domain. I really enjoy a nice praline cappuccino actually, but it's only a christmas thing Costa do :( This then relies on having the staffing to supervise it. We can't be everywhere all the time and as before, all it takes is for one act to go unnoticed and bam, floodgates open. People like shouting at each other rather than letting us deal with the bad eggs, I'd prefer not to give them any rank weighting to fuel the fire before we can respond in time. Again, floodgates.

New LCPDFR Community Groups
While your intentions are nice, forums never follow suit with humanity, society or social normalities. Everyone here becomes anonymous, some of us don't mind our names being out there but a lot use an alias, giving them the freedom to post anything without feeling like someone somewhere will judge them or hate them. (commonly known as a keyboard warrior) Because of this "protection" from real life that the forum gives them, giving someone a new colour and privileges for paying or for making content or for being here a long time makes them feel like they are better than someone. I'm aware a lot of people take their new "group" or "rank" as a nice perk and see it as nothing other than a thank you for what they did (donate etc) but sadly it is one of those things where the minority ruin it for the majority. All it takes is one person to go "I donated so you suck" or similar and we have a shitstorm to deal with that spirals madly out of control. You also open the floodgates when person A donates $20 and then person B donates $500 and demands more privileges. (and vice versa). And of course as I think Sam or Jay said before, a donation is an act of kindness, not a purchase. you are not entitled to get anything for donating. If you add perks for donating it becomes a purchase not a donation, then people start giving you abuse if you take it away or change it because they've forgotten what "donation" means. As for stating humans all have different belongings, this is correct yes, but would you go into a coffee shop and demand you get a throne while everyone else gets a cold hard stool? No, you would sit your ass down on a chair like the rest of the customers and you would enjoy your caramel mocha with extra cream. The coffee shop does not belong to you. This forum is the coffee shop, you come here to discuss things, it's a meeting place (if you disagree with me look up the origin of "forum"), the coffee in this case is the threads you choose to take part in or the files you choose to download. Dammit now I want a coffee. To close my point, I don't think adding special member groups is a good idea. Too many floodgates, too high a risk of causing trouble.

Tow truck is....err...a tow truck. Car Removal is a 2 cop team in which the passenger cop get's out and drives the car back to the impound lot (imaginary, it just drives out of existence) As for the modifier key you would need "LMenu" or "Menu" I'm not sure which. (ALT key in code form is the menu key)

This looks amazing but personally I would tone down the chrome reflection effect for the metallic paint because it's too reflective. But that's just me, some people like really shiny cars. Nice image :)

GTA V on next-gen. Opinions?
I haven't played it yet because I'm waiting for the PC release. But from the little snippets I've seen it looks good. I think (if I'm not mistaken by his mass of tweets) NerdCubed is doing a livestream of the PS4 version soon on twitch, so I'll be watching that to see what it's like. For anyone who is disappointed, try to remember this is not GTA VI (6) exclusive to next-gen and PC, it's no good sitting there expecting a brand new super-ultra high definition mega realistic game because you're obviously going to be let down when you play it then. Rockstar are re-releasing a 2 month old game on next-gen and PC and adding some extra things for us to play with. People expect too much these days.

If you could own any car...
Personal favourite would be Audi R8 V10+ in Daytona Grey, pearl effect with all of the optional extras available. (Roughly £130,000 worth of car) but unfortunately, it wouldn't be much use to me as a daily car due to the fact it hasn't got much storage space. Therefore it's the Audi RS 7 Sportback in metallic black again with all the optional extras (£90,000 roughly) Yes...I like Audis.

[API][WIP/REL] Callouts+ - Additional LCPDFR API Callouts
Don't worry, the project won't get instantly stopped. I will make a"final build " when the time is right to stop. That will be like an alpha game going into version 1.0 full release. That means lots of content to keep people who are still on GTA IV happy, lots of performance improvements and as little bugs as possible (no game breaking ones just the potential for silly glitches)
