  1. We #DAMBAJ have been playing on it for the last several days. If you disable the extra tree LODs you will not have a frame-rape situation. FYI
  2. Looks cool! This would be one of the only reasons I wish I had EFLC. Thanks for sharing it!
  3. I'm with Aussie on this. I bought 2012 before finding out it was unmod-able, I then stopped playing it, and went back to EM4 Los Angeles. I hope HOOPA will get back into the modding scene if EM5 is mod-able.
  4. Had the same issue with Xliveless, switch to the other option and it should work. Good luck =)
  5. Hint: Right click the installer file and "Run as Administrator" should you not already know this. =)
  6. We use ALT+P to initiate LCPD:FR and then CTRL+P to "Force Duty." We will then use Simple Native Trainer to change our PED and spawn our cruisers. It is faster then having to go through the "Having to go into the station to go on duty." All of the markers work for the stations, arrests and call-outs as well. No issues with this method that we have seen thus far and we play daily in Multiplayer.
  7. Have you made sure you are running the installer as an Administrator?
  8. The clan that I belong to, plays LCPD:FR exclusively and we have a great time. Yeah, there are bugs, but the game play and role play out-weigh the bugs in our opinion. In a pursuit situation, keep the primary unit (the one that initiated the pursuit) closest to the fleeing vehicle, or else the car you are pursuing may just stop running. Do not arrest the person in your friends call-out as this will cause a script crash and the game will crash. You can however have the person that initiated the call arrest the suspect first, then you can re-arrest them and take them to the station. It is all trial and error but either way, it is a blast to play LCPD:FR Multi =) avs
  9. I would like to hear more about it working online. Do any of the beta testers have video of it working online? I know my clan is waiting to see if it is usable in our RP patrols. Thanks =) avs
  10. It makes me sad to see these headlines. Too many Brothers and Sisters have been killed in the line of duty. I am thankful everyday that I was able to perform my duties without some mentally unstable or murderous individual taking my life. Unfortunately so many have not been so lucky. My heart goes out to their loved ones and colleagues. It is never easy to read posts like this. Avs.
  11. I was leaning towards the cone on the curb... LOL
  12. For me, being a former LEO, checking the ID of a suspicious subject on the street is paramount. Once they have checked out, you then have the option of arresting them, holding them or citing them.. That is awesome! Cannot wait for this release!
  13. Same false positive here as well. I hope you can get Norton to whitelist your software, it sucks that they do that.
  14. Here is a diagram of the technique we were taught in the Academy and as a Police Officer in EVOS, on how to make a safe traffic stop. Blue=Patrol Vehicle Red=Vehicle being stopped Orange=Officer Safety Zone 1) Never perform a traffic stop in the middle of the road or in the median of a highway. Always follow the vehicle until you have found a safe location to initiate the stop. 2) Make sure the stop is far enough away from an intersection that your car can be pulled safely out of traffic 3) Nose your car towards traffic with your wheels turned out, this will give you a safe zone to stand in when approaching the driver side (orange rectangle). Should your patrol vehicle get impacted, the vehicle will be pushed into the lanes of traffic and not into the vehicle you are stopping. 3) Use your traffic advisers, when possible to direct traffic around you in a safe manner. 4) When entering your vehicle on a traffic stop, to check registration or background of the driver, enter from the passenger side. This eliminates the possibility of you being struck by traffic, when attempting to enter your vehicle. 5) Never walk between your cruiser and the vehicle you are stopping, always walk to the rear of your car and around to driver side, when exiting as a passenger or entering the passenger side.
  15. @Tom H, can you provide a screen shot of them when you get them in? I love Rookie Blue and would like to have them as well.. thanks =)
  16. Great write up =) I too had a similar experience with LCPDFR. I was very excited to have a MOD that Police Simulation based. I was happy with the original cars at first and then wanted cars from my former Department. I found them on another site and then installed them, ELS, radar and a TrafficFlow v5. Trouble started for me as soon as I installed the ELS enabled car, lost textures, crashed often. F10 would not work for calling for Transport etc. It took me a while to figure out that the very awesome looking Police Charger that I downloaded was the cause of my issues. I removed it and found a few non-els cars to install. Once I installed the non-els cars, I was able to play for hours without any issues. This is a great mod and I am very happy that I found it on YouTube, I have been looking for a sim based Police game for a while (years)
  17. Another thing that would be nice but I am unsure if it is something you can do with this script is to allow a Prisoner Transport like the Stockade to hold multiple subjects at once. Give us the ability to order them into the Stockade, then take them to the station at a later time. Last night with my DUI checkpoint, I had to run them to the station after I arrested them. (literally run them there.. LOL)
  18. Great vid! Very accurate and pretty much how they trained us to do in PDS (Pursuit Driving School). The one thing I must point out (and you did so nicely in the video) is that when contact is made on the driver side quarter panel, you then accelerate and drive through the PIT, braking only when the car spins out completely. That is where the PIT fails in most of the youtube videos from other LCPDFR players. They hit the breaks when they make contact and thus the the rear wheel loses traction on the vehicle that it is attempted on and thus the vehicle swerves and continues on.
  19. I used this script last night to perform a DUI checkpoint. It was fun and frustrating at the same time. I could stop traffic but getting one car to move forward at a time was a lot like herding cats =) In addition I stopped 23 cars (every other car) and breathalyzed. I had 0 come back over the legal limit (.08% BAC) I will post up a Report in another thread if you all want to hear about it. Total number of vehicles stopped - 61 Total number of drivers breathalyzed - 23 Total number of drivers with BAC > .08% - 0 Total number of arrests - 10 (Charges ranged from Disorderly Conduct to Assaulting a Police Officer)
  20. Yeah that is crap. I am former LEO and really looked forward to your dashcam with radar. Sucks that jerks have to ruin it for everyone else.
  21. thanks Echo04. I was really looking forward to trying this script. I hope they get the download links fixed =)
  22. Total n00b question: Am I the only one that get this error when I try to download the script? "Error: [#10870]" Edit: perhaps it has to do with post count?
