  1. How far forward? If it just inches forward, don't mind that. On the other hand, if it moves forward a metre or two, something may be wrong
  2. Good to see you're back! Nice model. Simplistic setup. Will definitely be using this!
  3. You have to "merge" them. File > Merge.
  4. That Charger is extremely buggy. Try the PP (Police Pursuit) version that LCCOP released on a site that begins with LCPD and ends with Mods. It's in the Development section
  5. Just out of interest, which model is it?
  6. You have to attach the els_red and els_blue to extras. You can't expect everyone to do it for you.
  7. When you click on the .wft it should be in the bottom portion of that window.
  8. When importing you have to change the "Preferable Textures" option from ".DDS" to ".PNG" since the textures have a .PNG extension
  9. Add the textures to ZModeler, then click "File" and click "Merge", then navigate to your .z3d and either double click it or click it once to highlight and "Merge" Also, it's the Vertex
  10. When exporting, make sure the name is the same as that of the dummy in the hierarchy. For example, if in the hierarchy you car is called police.wft, export the model with the name police.wft. Also make sure "Store Textures" is deselected.
  11. This is incorrect. You start out where you last saved the game. So for example, if you save the game in an Alderney safehouse, then you'll spawn in Alderney. That's a GTA system and it has nothing to do with LCPDFR. What you could do to progress your game is instead of the DSOUND ASI loader, use the XLiveless ASI loader. The main difference is that with XLive, you can't play multiplayer, as it removes Games for Windows Live from your game. To restore, simple remove xlive.dll and replace with dsound.dll. Once you have XLive installed, you can download a savegame from the internet and place it in your savegames folder. The reason you need XLive is that for some reason, other people's savegames don't work while using XLive.
  12. Check the "Tutorials" section
  13. Honestly, since you're a beginner, I'd suggest buying a PC, instead of making one first. With your newly bought PC you can take a look inside and see how everything is wired up and remember it, so you can later build your own. I'm not that close to you (in terms of countries) and due to that, I won't recommend any parts or PCs, since some countries have parts and PCs that other countries don't - I'll leave it to someone who knows a bit more than me and lives closer to you. Also, when you mention "large" RAM, that implies size. I think what you're meaning is a larger capacity. Anyway, good luck with your endeavour
  14. Perhaps your wheel_lf dummy is misplaced. Also, do you have an ingame screenshot? (You can take them with the printscreen button if you don't have a screenshot program)
  15. Make sure you're in Edit Mode
  16. I'd recommend OpenIV for that. Simply just drag and drop the updated files into a folder and you'll be good to go!
  17. Unfortunately, there are aren't any other ways. Regardless of if it's from a game or not, it can still be converted to GTA IV
  18. Try using this tutorial on how to convert cars:
  19. Do you mean this picture? '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  20. When you export, make sure the name you're giving it matches that of the car in the hierarchy.
  21. 1. http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/vehicle-modification-tutorial/how-to-map-and-make-templates-for-gta-iv-models-r1 2. The modified parts are likely extras. Look for parts in the hierarchy called extra_x - where x can be a number between 1 and 9. Once you've found them, delete them. If that isn't the case, the modified parts will be attached to the regular parts, in which case you'd need to go into polygon mode and select them and delete them.
  22. Try detaching the glass so it's a separate object.
  23. I believe it's due to your glass for "3rdtest.wft" being above the main lightbar (a "misc_..." perhaps?) but below the ELS. Try rearranging it like so: ELS (extras 1 to 9) main lightbar glass (including [COL] if exists)
  24. You may also want to remap it to the "OTHER" box on the template so when there's a livery on the car, it doesn't mess up.
