Strategic Defence & Security Review (2015) Your Views?
Yeah, I'm no fan of the EU's open border policies either, stricter policies should be required, it's a very good theory. Freedom of movement between all our wonderful countries, unfortunately the world is not the same nice place it was, and now the EU has the burden of refugees fleeing war-torn countries.

Strategic Defence & Security Review (2015) Your Views?
To be fair, the Netherlands navy has some relatively new equipment, the Zevern class frigates are just over 10 years old. The AH-64's as well, and the new NH-90 helicopters are new and very capable helicopters. Chinooks as well, its not bad. The numbers are quite small for each, but it's proportional to the size of the country, it's not as bad as you make it out to be. The only thing really is the F-16's, they're very old now, A & B block aren't they? So those need replacement, it's disappointing that the Dutch are looking to buy the F-35, instead of opting for more suitable European fighters, such as the Saab Grippen, Eurofighter Typhoon, or Dassaut Rafale. Even the F-18's would have been more suitable than the F-35, it's sad that they have to sacrifice a large number of F-16's to buy a handful of F-35's. That being said, the Netherlands is a country surrounded by three very powerful militaries, the Germans, the French and the British forces across the channel, so during times of economic crisis (such as 2008) unfortunately it's always the military programmes which are hit the hardest. Hopefully, now there's a recovery, the Dutch gov. will also choose to reinstate some of it's former strength

Strategic Defence & Security Review (2015) Your Views?
Hello all, So, in case people aren't aware, 4 days ago the UK Gov. outlined (rather vaguely) their intentions for our armed forces, including equipment purchases and forces strength changes. Whilst on the face of things, it all seems very good, however it comes across as rather vague, 96 pages of wishy-washy details, not giving firm commitments or agreements to much. Main Points: RAF 9 P-8 Poseidons (2 possible slots available to take from the US Navy for delivery for 2017) <--- Meaning still a gap in our Maritine Patrol abilities until delivery of aircraft 2 Additional squadrons of Eurofighter Typhoons (Not sure whether that means additional purchases of Typhoons or redistribution of the current numbers) I'd be really happy if it meant additional Typhoon purchases, to prolong the manufacture until we can secure some additional customers. Extension of life of, Typhoon Tranche 1, E3-D Sentry, C-130J, and most importantly for ISTAR the Sentinel remains in service until 2030. Doubling our UAV strength British Army: Upgrades to Apache's and Chinook (don't see why the Chinook is put under Army as it's operated by the RAF) £2 billion additional to Special Forces, (SAS, SBS etc.) 2 5000 strong Strike-Brigades No further cuts to personnel (but continue to insist in trying to use reservists to replace full-time regulars) Royal Navy: 8 Type 26 Frigates (instead of the original 13 as it was meant to be a like-for-like replacement) 5 General Purpose Frigates (to replace the 5 additional Type 26's which were meant to be purchased). 4 tanker ships 3 Logistic ships 24 F-35 JSF to be in service by 2020 operating from our carriers (part of the 138 JSF which are to be purchased). So, whilst I'm happy about some things, I don't really see it as much of a step forwards really, all that's happened is they've reversed the austerity measures. I'm glad to see new aircraft joining our services, (Poseidon and the F-35, as well as the Rivet Joint), as well as the new ships, notably the carriers and frigates, but still feel 6 destroyers is too small, having a fleet of 19 destroyers and frigates is a little small, considering how the Royal Navy operates all around the world. What's your opinion on the matters? Whether it be from the perspective of a UK citizen, or any other country, I'd like to know. Is it too little to late, or the right sized decision? Thank You SeaHawk14 P.s: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/478933/52309_Cm_9161_NSS_SD_Review_web_only.pdf SDSR online doc. (warning 96 pages)

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Some departments will take what's still servicable from older vehicles, like the lightbars, radios, spotlights and place them on the new cars. Unless they intend to purposely use brand new equipment (such as a change of lightbar) then they can re-use some of the older stuff, as long as it's still compatible. It keeps costs down, so I'm guessing that's what the CHP did. It could also be that some stations got their vehicles before others, so when the new LED spotlights were ordered onto the cars, by then some stations already had the old bulb spotlights, whilst all following stock got the new LED spotlights. Annoying inconsistencies.

^ Don't know how you can NOT be a fan of modern cars! Especially when they look like this! Good work

Chargers
xD How pretty they all look! The first and second are so damn gorgeous! In general I don't like the new 2015 Chargers, but still, very good work for every model! Congrats... By a while, do you mean several weeks, months or up to a year :O Just to get a time-frame in mind

Yeah, I'll see what I can do to help him.

Dat Blue
I'm liking the line-up there, it's likely just me but those new Chargers look more sport's spec than police spec.

Grounded.
Where are those aircraft from? I've never seen the Embraer in GTA, and is that the DC-9 in the middle?

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Welcome back Desmond, It's very good new to hear you're continuing with the vehicle. F5544 has updated his lightbar significantly, so perhaps that's a change to integrate into a future update.

F5544 WIP Dodge Charger High interior, 2015 conversion.
Nice, Whelen Liberty is the lightbar used by the CHP isn't it? I'm torn between the 2013 or 2010 version, the LAPD use both, but the CHP only uses the older 06/10 model. Good luck, I look forward to anything you make.

Forgive me, but why a 2015 version, barely any US police departments have them, the most widely used Dodge chargers are the 2006-2011 version. Like the CHP and the LAPD, both use them as well as the LASD. I don't mean to belittle your work, I'm just wandering why such a rare car, for at least another 3/4 years, is being modelled.

Terror Attack in Paris, France, 18 confirmed dead.
My thoughts are with both the families and friends of the victims, and hope that negotiations for the release of the hostages are successful. I have great faith in the people of France, not to let this vile attack on innocent people, cause irreparable fear and terror. Likewise, I expect the French forces will respond very rapidly and, quite frankly bring the fear of God into the eyes of these cowardly attackers. Sincere condolences for those lost, we in the UK stand together with our French companions against acts of terrorism, and I already expect a reaction from both France and its allies, which will wipe the scum off the face of the Earth! Sincerely SeaHawk

Unmarked 2013 FPIS
Is IronicRainbow likely to allow it to be released? I know he made the fantastic NYPD/LCPD sedan which I still use today... So it'd be fantastic if he would allow for conversion AND release!

"The 2013 refresh of the Taurus was unveiled at the 2011 New York Auto Show and bears cosmetic changes, new engines, and new technology. The most obvious change is the new front fascia incorporating sharper angles and restyled headlights. Changes to the rear of the car were minor with the only noticeable change being new taillights and dual exhaust tips (only the SHO has true dual exhaust while the other trim levels use a single exhaust that splits under the car). While the interior remains largely unchanged, the Taurus now incorporates a heated steering wheel, an interactive gauge cluster, and the MyFord Touch system, which includes a new head unit with 8" touch screen. Other features new to the 2013 Taurus include an all new Sony sound system featuring HD Radio and iTunes Tagging, Multicontour seats with Active Motion (massage), push-button start, auto high beams, and a rear view camera." [1] "Ford’s chubby-looking mid-size model receives a minor exterior makeover, a redesigned dashboard and improved materials inside, plus changes to the engine lineup that include the introduction of a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four banger. In more detail, the 2013 Taurus gains a new face that’s distinguished by an inverted trapezoid grille along with a redesigned front bumper and re-sculptured hood. At the back, Ford’s designers raised the rear quarter panels and added larger LED tail lamps." [2] [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Taurus_(sixth_generation) [2] http://www.carscoops.com/2011/04/2013-ford-taurus-receives-facelift-plus.html Makes a world of difference though, I've never liked the pre-face lift Taurus, and particularly the Police Interceptor (concept) looked bloody ugly, but the facelift Ford Interceptor Sedan looks beautiful, and is the perfect replacement for the CVPI. I'm very pleased to see it being made for GTA V

[WIP] 2006 Hummer H1
http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-swat-bearcat-model/543607 $25 That's the only link I've found, I reckon it'll be quite hard to find the actual model. Have you considered asking the creator of the model for GTA IV to convert his, or if he could provide the link for where he got the Lenco Bearcat model? The author is KevinDV, he's on LCPDFR but he's refused a lot of convert requests for his Arjent lightbar so I'm not sure. Likely he will only give it to trusted modders or friends of his perhaps?

[WIP] 2006 Hummer H1
Definitely the Bearcat! Preferably with the Arjent lightbar of course. They're fantastic looking vehicles, and one which isn't likely to be done by others. It's not something most people consider. LAPD LASD: https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1376/5168997846_e75b8db8c4_b.jpg (Link to the image above)

I'm sorry to hear that Desmond, but don't be demotivated, actually you've achieved a lot in my eyes. You've managed to release a vehicle which no one else has, to a very good quality as well. The exterior came out really well, and you managed all criticism and suggestions very well also. For a first mod, you've really exceeded most people's expectations and really you should be proud of what you've done. It's a pity how the community works, but that's just the way it is. When you release it unlocked I can only hope that the next person is as hard working and dedicated as you were towards this vehicle.

FUBAR is slightly strong... "F*cked up beyond all recognition", it's very recognisable as a Ford Interceptor.

F5544 WIP Dodge Charger High interior, 2015 conversion.
Definitely make the 2013 version! The face lifted version of the car you've currently made is miles better looking, and it looks mean! That car is worth it's weight in gold on LSPDFR, it took so long to be brought to GTA IV, so the fact that you're willing to bring it to us, less than a year after the release of the game is really indicative of how hard you work. I look forward to that 2013 version when it's being developed (in a couple of months time). Best of luck

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
Looks much better like that, I hope it wasn't too hard to fix. It makes it much more obvious the glass has been broken, and it's visible during a shootout! Nice work Desmond

On Final
From the album: FSX
As you can see, the ugly default ground textures of FSX, as my laptop isn't capable of any high end scenery. On final approach into LGAV (Athens), exterior shot showing me on the glide slope as indicated from the PAPI's, unfortunately it's not the best of shots.
