  1. No, the LAPD don't have the Setina door covers, so it's good the way it is. It's only the seats that are different; the seats are the moulded plastic.
  2. Good to see you're still working on it. I Hope your exams went well also. It looks really good, I'm sure when it's complete it'll look even better. Good work Desmond

  5. Perhaps that was the case in GTA IV, where the police bike wasn't native to the game? I don't know if modded bikes create loads of problems in GTA V, although there have been a tonne of motorbike mods for GTA V so I don't think the mods still create an issue.
  6. Oh. That sucks. Never mind then, I guess it'll be a matter of waiting, unless an online model can be found. Surely VooDoo didn't model the BMW from scratch.
  7. Well, you made a GTA IV video with one. Any way you could contact the author and ask for permissions? I'm aware of existing GTA IV models, such as VooDoo's model only really as well as the British one seen in your video. With the additional benefit of being the exact same motorcycle, with the same panniers as well.
  8. There's plenty of interest in bikes, three topics have been posted so far asking for bikes, in particular most people (me included) want to see the BMW R1200 R-TP modelled. But no modder seems to be wanting to do it...
  9. Hmmm, for some reason I didn't see this post until now. I feared as much really, I knew beforehand that the possibility of owning a GS was low, I had already figured that most dogs don't like staying alone for a long amount of time, and with me potentially gone from the early morning until almost 6:00pm then it's too much for a dog to be left unattended. Plus with no real stable guaranteed income, vaccinations, vets, food etc. it'd be much harder to manage finances to ensure I can survive. The Great Dane is more like a horse than a dog :) it's enormous, plus me being active means I can't have a lazy dog. Realistically, as much as I'd love to, a dog is just too much commitment for a uni student really. And as they mentioned before, limited housing for students and even fewer for students with a pet. Some properties have spot inspections and it's hard to hide a large German Shepard in a house. It's a crying shame, I'd go ahead and do it anyway because solutions can be found but I don't want to find myself unable to feed the dog or running really low in money and having to return it to the rescue centre. I'll probably go through this every year. Thanks for taking the time to write that, it was a very interesting read. Good luck with your own future Great Dane.
  10. Yeah, the Enforcer's large front bumper made it unsuitable for the streets of LA, plus it's much longer isn't it? From what I've gathered, the Arrow XT is the main engine of the LAFD, alternatively the 2010 KME seems to be the second main apparatus used for urban fires. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/2245-2006-pierce-arrow-xt-1500500/?tab=comments That was the GTA IV version of the LAFD Pierce Arrow, in case it could be of use for this model for referencing.
  11. Very glad to see you've come back, I feared that the project was dead due to the lack of any updates from you. Likewise, I'm glad that you've opted for the Pierce Arrow instead of the Enforcer. The Arrow is far more suited to the city environment which GTA V has, plus it is better looking than the Enforcer too. It seems that recently the community has gone to sleep, there seems to have been a lack of vehicles being produced so I'm really glad to see someone still developing a good vehicle. I expect that this will be an instant hit with the community. Once again, best of luck with the project, I hope you keep going with it. Regards
  12. I second this! There's really been such slow progress with GTA V, no new fire-trucks, no new ambulances... Sad really, I thought that a lot of people would convert their existing models for GTA V, until much better scratch made high quality vehicles were made...
  13. How have you dealt with the rear light? I know Desmonds rear light looks really realistic during the day time, but at night the central ring ends up looking white. The texture he uses is good because it looks exactly like it does in real life. That's the light i'm talking about
  14. And there was me hoping the CHP had some common sense... The Harley Electra Glide hasn't even changed in appearance since 1995, how crap Harleys are on turns at speed as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGY3xeAe5r8 Oh well, BMW's were probably too expensive for the CHP and Kawasaki apparently really botched up the contract, some fault in them made them more prone to crashing, the only choice was the Harley. Pity, I hope regardless someone models the BMW or the Kawasaki anyway, because the Harleys still look like pigs. Thanks for the update though, I was under the impression they would be using the Kawasaki for the next few years
  15. I'm having a dilemma really, for a while now I've wanted a pet, I had a cat for a few years (family pet) but we mutually disliked each other so my view of cats is somewhat poor. Lack of loyalty, general disinterest and laziness of a cat are very unappealing for me, on the flip-side they're quite good companions (if it likes you) and are much less of a hassle, cheaper for veterinary bills and much more suited to the situation I'm in. I'm currently at university in Bristol (UK), and whilst I live on the outskirts of the city centre, I may in future years choose to live in the city centre, which aren't very suited for pets in general. I'm drawn to dogs more, in particular, I'm very keen on german shepards, who are exactly the opposite of cats, they're big, noisy, attention seeking, very active and very loyal, I really like the idea of having a german sheppard as a pet, but I'm 19, never taken full unaided care of a dog in my life, living on a budget with housemates who may or may not like dogs. I love the idea of growing up with a dog, I had a dog until recently when it was hit by a car, and I feel so empty without a pet. I'd like to adopt a German Shep. from a local shelter, young, below 1 year, but what's really putting me off is for the next 3 years I don't know my situation, and I really don't want to make a stupid decision, whereby I adopt the dog, then after a few months realise it's too much or have to give it up because my housemates are scared of it. I'd hate to form a bond with the dog to then end up returning him/her to the shelter, it'd kill me. Long story short...(because I have lots of other things which I've battled in my head) Has anyone else been in this situation, or known anyone who at university adopted a domestic pet, and how they dealt with it, what are people's experiences & suggestions, please the more detail the better, I promise to take time to read through peoples responses. Thanks in advance.
  16. I loved it when I had it in Italy, made by a barista, but the crap served here in England labelled as coffee is revolting, I've brewed it from the mokka as it should be, but it was too strong, perhaps I'll have to try again from the mokka with a different brand of coffee. Hmmm, it's made it's way into my morning routine though, I'm liking it more and more so I think I'll probably get used to it by the end of this university year.
  17. Not a fan of the Honda's, the BMW R1200RT-P is the best looking bike in my opinion, probably the most used police bike in the world. Used by the CHP, LASD & the LAPD so the most suitable of bikes. I'd love to see the BMW in game, it was already made for GTA IV, the CHP model was made, so I don't see why the author can't just convert that for GTA V. BMW R1200RT-P Alternatively, I wouldn't mind seeing the new Kawasaki Concourse, but I think it's only being used by CHP and LAPD (in small numbers) and is intended to eventually replace the BMW. Either of those two to replace those filthy Harleys...
  18. I'd say for now work on improving the Explorer model, don't bother about converting your vehicle to ELV, as ELS should be coming out at some stage, that way when ELS is out the vehicle will be perfect and the lighting will work well. Are you still working on the interior of the Explorer? And yeah, I agree, that red taillight fix looks horrible, it blends in with the rest of the light. Surely there must be a way to have the light still textured as white, but red light when it's on.
  19. I would say no, I've heard there was an argument because Obsidian's mods were being stolen, or some sort of fight with another British developer, as such Obsidian has stopped making models. With the death of GTA IV, I read he wasn't prepared to make models for GTA V, so instead he's working (currently) on a uk police world for ARMA 3. The lack of mods means (to me) he's not working on GTA IV anymore. http://youtu.be/Tr7zN03imPQ check this link, that's where he uploads his progress for ARMA

  22. Looks really nice. I wish my game still worked so I could reinstall the mighty Met!
  23. Fortunately we're able to do both, although there have been lots of cuts to our public services and benefits. But now, once again they're going to reverse most of their austerity cuts, protecting both the NHS and the police budget, so hopefully we'll see our public sectors increase again. They've suffered a lot.
