  1. I think it will be something like that GTA IV - all bait car features EFLC - all bait car features except driving to hideout (wandering around still would be available) + option in .ini to switch hideouts on for people that are not scared to delete their paths.img file for EFLC side-stories (it should work just as normal GTAIV but can cause bugs when you want to play story missions in game, not LCPDFR).
  2. Should be this week. I have some small fixes left. For now there are no serious bugs reported in current beta. I still don't know what to do with "closed-used" roads in EFLC bug and I have to write manual for whole thing. All in all I'm pretty confident that at least RC version will be released this week :)
  3. KUBEANIE was that in EFLC or GTAIV? That barrier thing. Which car were you using? It should spawn behind you, in extreme cases (biiig cars) it may spawn "in" car but never in the middle o_O I'll make fix for that tomorrow.
  4. Problem is I don't have time to check EVERY place in Liberty City. I don't know which roads changed in EFLC. To be honest I think that there is no road that have been altered. They might added some new road nodes, especially on water, and switched on some of unused ones (like those which are causing problems for bait car), but I don't think that they closed any road that was used by traffic before. If anyone know road that was closed/opened in EFLC pleas tell me.
  5. And just when I thought that everything will be fine it turned out that problem with blocking thieves is a lot more common. I've spend some time trying to figure it out and it doesn't look good. In GTAIV everything is peachy (not 100% sure, but it's way better). Peds drive as they should, but EFLC have fucked up road paths. I've removed paths.img dedicated for TBGoT and everything went back to normal just like in GTAIV. But that is not a solution. There is big probability that it could break missions in game. Maybe for people that ONLY play LCPD:FR it is cool but not for everyone. Also I haven't check whole map to see if traffic drives as it should. Sadly I can't turn off those paths for the time when bait car is on. It's IMG file which is untouchable while game is on. So here is another question, what is better: - turn off hide out drive in TBoGT and TLaD (normal, wandering thief will be still available) - leave it and inform players that they should remove EFLC paths (keeping backup) and pray that it won't break traffic in some places.
  6. Ok guys. I need your help now. I can't decide what to do with one annoying problem. Sometimes thief will drive to chop shop through some unattended and even close roads. Do you remember that road through city hall building in front of broker bridge? These idiots sometimes choos to drive it despite it being closed. I've tried everything, without success. Even original gta taxis drive there. Question is: what should I do with baitcar when it's stuck in a place like that? - leave it and let player to arrest that moron - teleport it to nearest main road I really don't know which option is better so you have to tell me.

  8. NEWS UPDATE: I've just sent new version to testers (no, this time no new version for guys with leaked versions ;) ). I've redone many many things. It has some experimental methods for me so I'm not sure if it is stable enough to release. We will have to wait for some testing. I terms of features there are only small changes like new chop shops for bait car or ability to put road barrier behind a car while sitting in it (only stopped). Useful when you want to secure your car for being rammed by traffic while you check papers. This version looks promising, so if no major bug will emerge in let's say 3 days (I'm short in free time now) I will release it. Even if there will be some minor bugs, I'll still release it as RC. Contest after release: In mod is hidden one EXTREMELY rare scenario. Who will post first screenshot or video (no written description, as anyone can decompile code :P ) of that scenario will get access to every future beta of my mods. Sorry for lousy prize, couldn't think of anything cooler :D How will you know that it is desired scenario? It's connected with ID check and believe me, you will know ;)
  9. Guys, even if I would say "oh, hell let's give them open beta" I can't release it as now some features are ripped apart for testing and tweaking. And yes, I don't have older versions, maybe I should keep them :D I've tested all hideouts. One had to be removed, rest will be kept as they are or will be tweaked to use new more complex method. I still have to gettodachoppa and find some new ones. I still have problems that can cause serious issues so it's not that fun to play with it. Also don't expect that 1.0 will be bug free. R* has army of testers and you can still find a bug here and there. Remember also that I spend not only my free time making this as I prefer to spend it with my girlfriend, so I spend some of my work time to make mod. Patience guys. It's only a game ;)
  10. Yes, METT/Coroner mod was announced officially. I'm still working on PoliceHelper, so it will have to wait, but after PH it will be easy ;)
  11. There was accidental leak by one of testers ;-) So if you have mod you could give me some feedback about bugs, or memory leaks. Has that crash had something to do with my mod? And overall opinion on available features.
  12. It's the end of the week and still no PoliceHelper so I owe you some explanation. I have good and bad news. Bad news is that I won't be able to finish it this week. I still have to fix 3 serious bugs, which are: - thief gets out of the baitcar when stopped by backup unit, regardless locked doors - thief is stuck or drives into wall when near to some hideouts - memory leaks in EFLC So where are those good news? Here: - it look like door lock bug is fixed but I have figure out if it is possible to keep thief in car when he tries to get out but shutdown feature was not triggered - I have solution for stuck thieves, but I still have to test some hideouts and modify them. As a bonus I'll try to find some more cool hideouts ;) - I've played for some time. Spawned about 12 roadblocks, requested 8 baitcars and no memory leaks. It's promising, but it still needs to be tested. Problem is that bait car hideouts and door locks are now under construction, so I can't give testers version with possibly fixed leaks :) I hope I'll finish those fixes till monday and send new version to testers. Then after 2-3 days, if everything will be ok script will be released. PS: I had first reports that it works well online :)
  13. LOL, guys, take it easy. Unfortunately there are some new bugs that HAVE to be fixed and it's not that easy. Especially when it is 1AM and you are not that sober.
  14. I'm not sure if I will be able to fix it for EFLC at all. It is playable but after some time game has problems with LOD and newly created peds behaviour, just like in BraveHearts script. We are trying to find reason for it. This may be error in my code, but may be also problem with other scripts trying to use peds/vehicles created by my script. That's why Makinofaman will try PoliceHelper only with LCPDFR and nothing else (I don't have time for longer gaming session). But I'm still fixing and tweaking smaller issues for both GTAIV and EFLC nad still wait for reports about fixes in yesterdays version. EFLC issue is not holding the release as I still want to want at least day or two for feedback and as I said I don't know if I'll be able to fix it. You have to remember that this is my second mod. Tow script has 1200 lines of code, this one has over 6000! It's really hard for amateur like me (I'm not a programmer!) to deal with code that big :)

I'm a bit less confident about this week release as it turned out my girlfriend goes on some company camp not this but next weekend, so no scripting friday for me :D For now mod looks pretty good. Most of issues has been resolved. There is one big problem left. Memory leaks (I think) in EFLC. I can't find what causes them for now. Maybe there is some that had similar problems with his mod and knows how to avoid this?
  17. OK, new version sent to testers. Some minor tweaks and redone cone spawning. I've added screen of main menu in first post. Tomorrow only tracing memory leaks. I hope no new bugs will emerge. PS: If some of you guys have PoliceHelper but are not testers please give me feedback how you like it and tell me about bugs. I promise I won't be mad ;)
  18. Harper, I'm sorry but I didn't understand what you wanted to say. Was there any problem? I have world event sometimes during waiting for thief, but it doesn't cause any problems. At least if other cops keep distance ;) Also I'd be very glad to hear at least what is your overall impression of mod. News update: Today I've fixed some minor things, finished fix for hi-end computers with hardcore enb/ice settings, added imperial/metric units setting. Unfortunately some serious bugs in road cones section emerged and I couldn't finish it today. Updated version for testers should be available tomorrow or unlikely this night (4-5h). Thank you for all support and help guys!
  19. Thank you for all kind words. I'll hope you will still like it after release ;) To be honest without LCPDFR it's useless. I've done as much as I could to make it work well witk LCPD:FR, so for example when thief gets in the car then LCPD:FR takes control. You still can shutdown the car and lock doors but whole pullover, pursuit, backup etc is managed by LCPD:FR :) It will be integrated just like Towing Services. So it will be separate mod for those who don't want to use PoliceHelper but when you will have both installed you may turn on keybinding for Coroner mod as you'll be able to call for it in device. Forgot to put a screen of main menu. I'll add that soon :)

  21. For now I plan 4 keys. 1. Put road barrier 2. Turn on PoliceHelper / Yes for callouts (in future) 3. No for callouts (in future) 4. Check ID (I'll add disable option for those who are short in free keys as this is also available in PH menu). Sometimes there will be F9/F10/F11 but with description on PH screen (hold / cite / leave for check id on foot)
  22. Thief will drive fast for first 100-150m to get away from the scene. Then he will drive normally, maybe a little faster than others. You stop him just like every other car and then LCPD:FR comes with it's awesome pullover/pursuit script, so it may end with pursuit or normal pullover if suspect is calm. I still have not decide how he should drive when going to hideout. I hope to find some more aggressive driving style, but not like maniac to make cruising to chop shop a bit faster than with normal driving and stopping at every red light. Fun fact: thief will have stronger chance to have warrant of arrest for grand theft auto or robbery than for terrorism or domestic violence when checked by "Check ID" feature in PoliceHelper. Script looks very well for now. Bait car needs only minor testing, road blocks after huge problems work really good with some minor bugs that I want to get rid of today. Other features, except road barriers, are finished (I hope so). When I finish bait car and road blocks I'll send it to few people for testing and rewrite barriers section. Sadly I have a lot of commercial projects right now so it's going slow :/
  23. Thats interesting. I' ll take a look at it. Might be due to nolongerneeded call for all cars around location. There will be new small update for tow service mod in next 3-6 days. Braveheart do you think it is caused by that?
  24. Mr_Puncho extract it as it is said in readme. It will replace only needed files in pc folder, not altering other content of that folder.
