Man, this car is really something. Never saw a more detailed CV so far. Using GTA5 lighting kinda ruins it a bit though... (changing that would really make it a masterpiece) And I don´t like the rims but it´s just a matter of personal taste. Really, Really, REALLY cool car!!! CV is legend and I use 5 different versions in my game. -

I fixed it, seems the carcols.ymt has an issue with the sequencer values. I guess it´s because some use less or more than 10 digits. I use the vanilla pattern instead. Looks also good, so I´m gonna keep it 😉 -
Can´t get the lights to work in SP, sadly. And I wanted this car so much... Guess I have to wait for another one. But it looks so cool ingame 👍

Hi, I did not see this anywhere so I wanted to share this with the community. I found out how to do this by myself step by step trial and error.... Hope this will help some people. I don´t get into details of replacing cars or meta-files, I guess everybody nows how to do this. This is especially for adding the sirensettings to get the lights work in SP because this might be the keypoint people fail at. ALWAYS MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR FILES BEFORE MESSING AROUND WITH THEM !!! 1. use openIV and locate the carcols.ymt usual here -> mods/update/update.rpf/x64/data 2. activate "edit mode" and open carcols.ymt by right-clicking on it and "edit" 3. go to search and type in "sirens" 4. go to search down until you reach the last id value (not sure if it´s 13, 14 or whatever - I have 23 now so I don´t know anymore...) mark the 4 lines shown in the picture below, then use right-click and copy: 5. go to the end (the red marked lines are the end of the sirensettings - they are a bit different than the lines between each siren id value) by using search down, and insert two empty lines by using enter after the castShadows value line: -> set the cursor of the mouse in front of the points of the next line to do this! 6. in the first empty line paste the 4 lines you have copied before, it should then look like this: 7. DON´T CLOSE OPENIV !!! now open the carvariations.meta file provided with the downloaded car and see, which sirensetting it is using e.g. <lightSettings value="1"/> <sirenSettings value="777"/> 777 will be our target. Now open the carcols.meta and search for this id value. In the carcols.meta you should change the id number to your desired number you will be using (you can also just leave it). Normally it should be the next which is not used in the carcols.ymt yet (e.g if 13 is your last, you´ll change 777 to 14) Now mark every line from id value down including the last castShadows value line of this siren id (after !--siren20--!) (some cars come in a pack and might use more than one sirensetting so make sure to only mark the one you will need!) Right click and copy this, then go back into openIV go into the 2nd empty line made before and paste it. This can take a few seconds... 8. If you have done everything right, you can now save the carcols.ymt archive. It will close then. If not, you messed up somewhere... (in some cases I was not able to add a new siren id, sometimes they don´t work because there is a wrong digit somewhere so make sure there is no digit extra or less - the layout must be exactly the same as the others!!!) 9. now open the carvariation.meta in your mods folder (the one you use for your modded cars) and make new lines for this car (or replace the existing or whatever) e.g. if you replace the sheriff2, just change the sirensetting from sheriff2 to 14 (or whatever number you took) <lightSettings value="1"/> <sirenSettings value="14"/> 10. DONE ! ENJOY INGAME ! I know, this is not a 100% guide but if you have some brains, you will get used to it 😉

@TrooperCorentin Christ.... Thank you so much for this awesome car. I was waiting a long time for someone who takes this FPIS base and makes a non-els model. Finally, and best is you can use it as slicktop, too. Awesome. Man, I really appreciate that you share this with us 👌 (imo it has a bit too much stuff and lights but I´ll take it anyway into my fleet in SP - car is too cool to not integrate it 😉)

Is this still active? I was just adding new callouts and since I have an outdated LSPDFR I tried to use this again. Works fine but after one callout done from this pack I don´t get callouts anymore. Can´t even force one. Anyone got the same problem?- 130 comments

I agree to that. But it´s not always a matter of the pc hardware. The texture loss is a common problem even on high-end machines. It depends on a lot of different factors. Police vehicles in callouts e.g. I think this discussion does not belong here. I just wanted to point that out and didn´t want to piss off someone. And don´t get me wrong, I really like this model and also think it´s the best ´98 CV around. It´s ok, I didn´t want to make the model bad, it´s the best ´98 CV around. I said nice car, so I don´t understand why you write this. It´s no complain from me I just pointed out, that the filesize shouldn´t be this high to prevent issues. It might work if you only use this but with many other mods the game would only last a couple of minutes until complete texture removal. The filesize shows how much effort goes into this because of the details this car has and I really appreciate the work and effort people put into the mods and release them public. I know about this and if you researched correct you might have seen, that I don´t write garbage. I sometimes just point out the bugs or issues so people can improve or learn about things they don´t know about or just miss. I´m no idiot so dont write like this, please. Instead read this: Cheers

Nice, but sadly same bugs as all silverados. Passenger door kinda detaches when open. Seems to be a base model issue. No working turn signals (this is not a base model issue, have another silverado with same base but this works there). Otherwise nice work, like the winch, the rack and the pushbar. I was tired seeing the crappy dilettante2 security car in callouts so I decided to replace it with a proper car and matching skin. I made the livery myself with parts of the original textures from GTAV. The base for the skins were police liveries that I edited to match the security layout. (Thanks to Stobe for permission to edit and upload texture 👍) So here, enjoy 😉 I used this car, but the liveries should match every charger with the same base model: -

Proper Wheels and good file size. (Most of the Tahoe´s have skinny wheels or are overwhelmed with equipment...) Can we get non-K9 marked unit without this small pushbar? Not much proper non-els models out there....

Nice car, but sadly filesize is too high! Should be under 20 MB altogether to prevent texture loss...

Seems like Kane104 makes the best base models besides bxbugs123 🤟 Non-Els is not working for me. Environmental lighting is ok but the lightbars stay off, only show a very small blip. Maybe something wrong with the code, vanilla has only 20 siren options, not 22. Any chance of getting red/blue lights version?

Nice! Now all we need is a detective version of this with a single red lamp on the dash. I like the rotating environmental lighting of these old lamps... -
You should edit the skin and lower the LAPD-Logo on the door. Otherwise it sticks through the ballistic door hole (definately not called like this but don´t know - german... 😂) Added this skin myself, too- 24 comments

@tkdwnsehtk finally a bearcat with proper wheels (vanilla but hey - at least very cool profile / they stick a bit out on the right side - the real thing does too, but then the left side should be also...), mudflaps and a good lightbar setup. Nearly perfect. 👌 ( I just don´t get why people make good models and then don´t put enough effort into the wheels though, I see this happening so often....)

That would be cool. An accurate 2013 Tahoe (I have one but it´s a hybrid with toggleable lightbar - looks weird on an unmarked car) and a FPIS are the last missing cars in my fleet. Looking forward to it!

@MarkTheDev Is it possible you take another model for the fpis? I hate the wheels on it, they are so oversized and you can look through them from the inner angle... This one here is cool but the inner door is crap (not the panel, the door itself is too thick) and it has way too many non-toggleable extras... Just a thought, always loved the fpis but just hate the model everyone uses. And maybe add a 2013 Tahoe to your list, with not so many lights and no ALPR´s on it 😁

https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/police-lights-without-siren put this in your scripts folder and push the assigned button provided in the .ini while siren is on. It mutes it then until you push the button again no matter if the siren was off in the meantime. (but also after a traffic stop, because then it is on again)
