you open the .ytd file via openIV and find the gauges_em texture. export it and edit this with a texture program (Photoshop or something) If you make it darker so you can see the texture better, gauges should be orange in your case. Somehow change this to blue (don´t know exactly how to do this, you have to get used to a program and try a bit to get that effect) If you make the textures darker (less transparency) it should also be brighter in the game itself. Depends on color intensity. Therefore the taxi signs are so bright if you use light enhancement mods. If you make this texture less color intensive and darker they won´t shine so bright, you know. A bit difficult to understand but you mess around with it a bit you will find out at some point. Took me a few years of modding and editing the game and I´m still learning... 😉

Hi, this is mostly related to model itself. You have to look into the .ytd file and find the dashboard texture. If the needles are yellow, just change the texture into blue. But I´m not quite sure if these are illuminated in blue so maybe that´s a side effect of being a replace instead of addon because not all functions are given as supposed to. I don´t use first person view so I didn´t care about this. It may also be that the gauges don´t work if they are supposed to do as Addon, because some informations are missing for the car to work in game 100%. I don´t have needles in the gauges of this car.....

Man, this is awesome. I suggested this lightbar to a friend of the original author of the GMC Van who published a non-els version which is no longer online. Sadly this is ELS. But great work though!

[TUTORIAL] use FIVEM cars in SP (non-els)
Hi, I still use this method but I´m not sure about the game version. I´m still stuck on August 2020 to keep my game running with mods. 😂 But I don´t know y this shouldn´t work. LML or add-on cars were never used by me since I wanted to keep the game as "original" as possible. I only use replace and since there a more and more FIVEM ready uploads I think this is a good method to use them in SP anyway. Sirens were always the keypoint but with this no problem anymore, you just need to mess around with it and spend a bit time. I get used to replace them with my own siren-sequences in the meantime. I found myself modding the game more then actually playing it.... So yes, should still work. 😉

The environmental lighting of the rear lightbar is facing forward, otherwise I would have put this in my game... Solid work, a pushbar as extra would be nice though 👍

boom gates / gates opening times
Hey Guys, as you might notice, there are many gates and boom gates (or pikes, whatever you might call it in english/american) throughout San Andreas to access several areas, such as parking garages, the port, fort zancudo or the movie studios. There are different types: automatic gates - open when the car is in front (port area) manual gates - you can walk throught, close automatic after a few seconds (e.g. Vespucci PD Backyard) boom gates without any attachments - open automatic or by pressing left mouse button, when in front (e.g. port entrance, parking garages) boom gates with lights - don´t open no matter what you do boom gates with stop sign - only partly open (noose base exit working, fort zancudo randomly, movie studios never...) I know, many people tried to make all these open up but until now I don´t have any positive feedback found about it. Now my question is: Can you at least make the manual gates open up for a longer time or prevent them from closing? I don´t want to scratch my car anymore to get throught them. Would add a bit realism (get out the car, walk through to open, drive through and then close it). Any idea?

Traffic Problems - Popgroups.ymt mess
Hey Folks, I have the following problem: A few days ago I played around with the popgroups.ymt in order to get some DLC cars into SP traffic. It only worked partly so I went back to vanilla. But since then the traffic spawning is a complete mess. I only get low traffic and only the same handful cars spawn. Before, everything was fine. I thought it was because I messed with the popgroups.ymt but the problem shouldn´t be there after using vanilla again. But the problem remains. I then used a complete GTA5 backup from days before in case another file was corrupted. Same problem.... Then I tried nearly all traffic mods in order to get variety and density again but then I have massive performance issues.... Anyone has an idea, what do do now? Maybe it´s time to say goodbye to the game now. I could make a complete reinstall but with the R* Launcher its even worse because of the updates....

@JdmImport It seems the Whelen 9000 has also a texture issue (I use sheriff5, btw). The front white glass for the takedowns is invisible so you can directly see into the light texture beneath. In OpenIV all seems fine but ingame it is missing. I tried to fix it but it doesn´t matter which texture I use (even pure white or anything) is just invisible. But it might also be because I use the cars as replace instead of DLC. It´s not a big issue for me but I think it should be reported. As I wrote, might be an issue because I use it "false" 😉

@JdmImport It´s a brilliant idea making the hubcaps as an extra. Never seen that before. Gorgeous!!! Need to make some space for these cars in my overpacked game somehow 😄 notice: the caprice classic has a texture issue in the center of the bigger hubcap, it shows the wheel textures. Changing that results in a total texture mess. The econoline needs the wheels a bit more inside, the suburban wider wheels and a rear axle. The newer caprice (93?) has a gauge texture issue, it should have the horizontal tachometer...

Sounds and Random Car spawns
Hey Cops, I have some questions regarding GTA 5 modding. 1) I want to use the door sound of fbi on the primo, does anyone know how to change it? 2) at the police stations are always some random police cars appearing. Does anyone know, if you can put more variety into this? (e.g. instead of police only I want to have police 3 and police 2 in addition to this - In mission row there is sometimes a single police 3 parking besides police) and maybe in addition: - replace the ambulance in paleto bay with another car - replace the police bikes in sandy shores with another car Thanks in advance. Oops, wrong forum I guess, Sorry... 😬

that´s one of the easiest things to do.... There are tutorials here on how to change the light color it just requires some brain and time to understand 😉 I don´t use these cars but does this refer to the handling? Maybe I can delete this issue: XYZ is wrong- I've done countless days of research on these vehicles, and unless you have direct access to these vehicles, I probably know better. If anything is wrong, it is due to a lack of information or GTA limitations, such as parts or ELS limitations.

Playing RE2 for 200+ hours now I must say this is one of the best mods for EUP I´ve ever seen! I made some STARS retextures myself but seeing this complete eup replacement makes me cry tears of joy. I don´t think I will use it but man, this is better than the original from capcom, it just rocks 👌

2013 Liberty I Caprice PPV
I have to come back to that car again. Just noticed the perfect environmental lighting. Never seen such an accurate work before. It has become one of my favorite police cars. And I really love that lightbar - modern and classic at the same time! That thing just rocks!🤟 Dude, you gotta have to make a fpis, a 2014 fpiu and a 2020 tahoe with that setup.

Wow, that looks realistic. Never seen a wonderful matching livery + setup like this on the FPIS before. Very cool, it looks almost real. I use non-els only but I couldn´t get around this without showing my respect for such a great work!

[NON-ELS] Whelen Mini Pack R&B
@Enfuel Im using this for a while now, still great. The only thing I would change are the inner edges in front. They are a bit small and lose their color (looks like white only) when going away from the car but that´s just a personal opinion. Any plans on making more cars with this setup? I really love these!!!
