I decided to change up the CPU I wanna get. Should I get a 4,6 or 8 core processor? I want it to play games for at least another 5-8 years, at the best. An 8 core 3.8ghz CPU is like $250. I know it's been a few days, but I just read that the NYC taxis are replacing the crown vic with new, uglier vans. It's like the crown vic is being thrown aside for crappy ford and foreign cars like it's nothing!

There's usually 4 skins under sparkIV, typically named something like police_sign1-4. Replace those with a skin for the car. I think almost any charger skin will work with a pre-2011 charger, but 2011 and 2012 I believe you can only use those skins.

Like I said, you have a small chance of running the game with the upgrade. The GPU choices are BAD, don't upgrade.

A question for me, my MB has a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, and I don't wanna get a GTX 550 ti (because it's nvidia), which is 2.0. Can I get a Radeon PCI-E 2.1 card and put it into a 2.0 slot? On top of that, I wanna get a regular ATX motherboard, so if I cut up my PC case, can I get that to fit? My PC case is mid-ATX.

GPU is the video card. That's what you want to do, and each time you do that it's doubtful you even will or you'll need a whole new motherboard. In the long run, a bigger investment in the desktop now will save you hundreds later.

That's what I built on. You pretty much said ditch the laptop, I said if he upgrades it now, it'll be useless in a year or so, atleast a desktop you can upgrade whenever.

It's a small chance you can even run the game. Those GPUs are pretty weak, so you'd be lucky if you even get 10 FPS, like I said.

Building on even on top of that, that laptop will be outdated within the next year or so, and you'd be stuck with a multi hundred dollar piece of plastic and metal. Atleast a desktop you can just order a part and pop it in.

Just another random question here, my MB is currently micro ATX, my case is like mid-atx or something. If I get an ATX MB, can I screw holes into my case? I'm willing to cut and break my case to fit anything in it, but would that work?

Well let's see.. A motherboard would probably be anywhere between $60-140 for a laptop. Then, a video card would maybe be around $60-120, they might need to swap the power supply to support the new video card, so that's another $40 or so. You're looking at about $160-350 worth of upgrades, maybe more if there's other parts need replacing. That's less than the PC I put up, but the PC has way better specs and you can easily upgrade it.
