PCSO recently started phasing out their Chevrolet Impalas for the new Ford Taurus Police Interceptor along with a new design that was created and chosen by the deputies of the agency. Any Body who can make skins?
Yes it is digital design but it is kind of low to charge someone for something as simple as vehicle textures in a game.

Caprice Suggestion
Now that there are some nice Caprice models out there I figured I would throw out a suggestion if anyone is interested. I noticed that Balitmore PD received a few new Chevy Caprices and I think BPD has a nice paint scheme and really nice light bars so I think it would be a pretty sweet IV car. http://policecarwebsite.net/fc/rwcar4l/balt184.jpg http://policecarwebsite.net/fc/rwcar4l/balt185.jpg Or for that matter, any of the BPD vehicles would look nice in IV. The Whelen Freedom doesn't seem to be popular among developers so it would be cool to see more of them out there instead of the constant Whelen Liberty (still a nice light bar). http://policecarwebsite.net/fc/rwcar4l/balt175.jpg

Lights
You would be surprised, there are some agencies that actually do that. Besides, some agencies (like my sheriff's office) issue take home cars and since it is your car you can put any extra lights in it that you want and I've seen some deputies go all out on their light setups. I do agree though, it is not how I would set up my lights.

Pull over Suggestion
It is done by all cops regardless of whether they are state, county, or local. Sometimes it is done for traffic related reasons (lots of traffic, not enough room on the right side, etc.), what I learned as a sheriff's explorer on ride alongs and again in the police academy is that it is also a great technique if you are trying to throw someone off. People always expect an officer to walk up on the driver's side so if you walk up on the passenger side while they are looking over their left side you can sometimes stand there and just watch what they are doing and look around before you make contact with them and they probably wouldn't notice espcially when it is dark. And who knows what you might see, the driver could be sitting there with a gun in his lap waiting for you to walk up giving you a better chance of spotting the weapon sooner. I can't tell you how many traffic stops I've been on where I stood in plain view on the passenger side of the vehicle and not even be noticed for the whole traffic stop. Plus, the few times I was on the side of the car that was closer to traffic and I had cars flying past me at 40-60mph with only 10-20 feet between it is a lot scarier than it looks. As for how an officer chooses to approach is dependant on the officer. I've met some officers who almost never do it, some who do it when they get a bad feeling about the stop, and some who do it on every stop. There is no formula to it, just officer discretion.

Keyboard or Controller?
I use controller for everything except for mods like LCPDFR, Policehelper script, and ELS. I can drive and move around a lot smoother with a controller than with a keyboard.

Caprice PPV Patrol & Detective
Not sure why everything is a competition. Its not like they are competing for sales, the mods are free. I don't care who makes the mod, if I like it I will download it regardless of who made it. Looks nice, looking forward to the release.

Will you still buy GTA V for a console if it's not released on PC?
What Slimory is referring to is called "overhead" and yes you have to apply it to GTA just like you would with every other game Rockstar makes. They need money to pay the bills and GTA brings in a portion of that money. Of course GTA isn't the only game that pays the bills but it definetly isn't 100% profit either. And remember the cost doesn't just stop after the game is done being made, Rockstar is still going to have to release updates and patches which also takes money. I'm sure they did make some money after they put out some patches but it still is nothing compared to what they made with the console version. GTAIV broke two records within the first week of its release. Broke the record for sales in a single day and sales in a week. They sold over 18 million copies in one month. Compared to when PC version came out, they sold 2 million copies in a little over a year and that figure includes console and PC versions. Then an additional year later they only sold 5 million copies (again including console versions), so it took them two years to make not even half of what they made in the first month. So the numbers are there and I'm sure Rockstar didn't ignore that. Now if I'm Rockstar and I see the sales numbers and reviews for the last PC version I made compared to the console numbers and reviews I think I'd rather stop at console and just walk away with a bigger profit rather than putting it into a PC version and risk having the sales blow up in my face. And yes, I will be buying it for PS3 and possibly Xbox just like I did with IV because I have friends who play it on those consoles.

Connecticut (USA) Elementary School Shooting
I don't think banning all guns is the solution (I own a rifle and handgun myself), but there should be better regulations on firearms. The fact that right now I can go out to my local gun store and buy all the assault rifles I want without any kind of firearm registration or waiting period is rediculous (and it might vary state to state but my state is pretty conserative when it comes to guns). Additionally people should have to have a license to own a firearm just like we need a license to drive. Too many people can just go out and buy firearms without having to get any kind of training or education on firearms. If that doesn't reduce the number of violent crimes then it would at least reduce the number of accidents where people injure or kill themself or someone else with a firearm.

World's Wildest Police Videos revived
Yeah they've already done like 3 or 4 episodes now, it is awesome. I love the show and I was thrilled when I heard they were starting the series up after 11 years. The new episodes are just as awesome as the previous seasons.

Dodge Charger - Broward County Sheriffs Office (ELS)
Very nice, Broward County S.O. has a lot of sweet cars. They have a pretty nice Caprice and several badass Challengers, both marked and unmarked. I like their Chargers too, both their old ones and new ones.

Awesome, can't wait to finally have the new Caprice for IV. Although I'm not a huge fan of the Arjent I'm sure it will still be awesome.

Do you think her action's were justified?
Hmmm, just re-read the statute, I guess it is a criminal infraction, but in the Miami officer's case it was only a misdemeanor, not a felony. My mistake, it had been awhile since I had read that statute and it isn't a charge we have used around here a lot.

Build your own dashlight flasher
Again, I'd double check with the laws in your area. Amber isn't illegal where I live, but I don't want somebody to go out get a bunch of amber lights and then get in trouble because it is illegal where they live. And sure you don't have to put them in your car but then what is the point of having a bunch of lights sitting in your house. That's just my opinion, not trying to discourage people from anything just making sure people don't get stupid with them because I've seen a lot of stupid people out there that really pissed me off when they fucked around with lights in their car.

Build your own dashlight flasher
I would be cautious about putting any flashing lights in your car. Laws vary state to state and what may be legal in one state may be illegal in other states. Some states don't care if you have lights in your car as long as you don't use them; in other states it is illegal to even have lights in your car regardless if you are using them or not. Different states have different laws on what color lights are acceptable too. For example, in my state (Florida) purple lights are for funeral processions only. In my opinion putting lights in your car is pointless because the majority of the time people have no practical use for them, it is just a waste of money. Also I've seen too many people who start out by putting legal lights in their car and they slowly graduate to using them inappropriately or illegally and/or putting illegal lights in their car. Just in my opinion I think it is pointless and a bad idea, but bottom line is if your going to do it make sure you do a lot of research on what is legal in your state on reliable websites (preferably run by the government) or even better call your local sheriff's office or state police and they should be able to tell you.

Do you think her action's were justified?
I never said anyone wouldn't be a good cop based off their judgement. I said that if you can't be handle being held to a higher standard then you shouldn't be a cop. Cops are held to a higher standard than normal civilians and people who become police officers need to be prepared for that. And as for the calling it in to see if it is stolen doesn't mean that it would actually return a stolen result. Do you think that as soon as a car is stolen the owner gets some magical signal that it has been stolen and reports it. It takes time to report a car stolen, first you have to find out that your car is stolen, then you have to call the police and have them put it in NCIC/FCIC as stolen. unr3al: "felony operating to endanger charge" does not exist in Florida, there is no such charge. There is Reckless Driving which is not a felony, it is a civil infraction moving violation, in laymans terms it is just a simple ticket with points on your license and a fine.
