Just announced! 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit!
Sorry, I misinterpreted what you said about hitting cars at high speed, I took that as something that had to do with braking which is why I was confused about your statement. You were instead referring to weaving through traffic and stuff like that instead. By the way, I lived in the U.S. for the past 22 years, it is where I'm from. The reason I live in Germany now is because I'm in the Army and I am stationed here, so I know exactly what goes into U.S. police cars. As a matter of fact before I came into the Army I had graduated the police academy and before that I was a sheriff's explorer with my local agency where I accumulated over 2700 hours of ride along time, so trust me I know exactly what the inside of CVPIs, Chargers, and Impalas look like, I have spent lots of time in them. The only thing that is different (interior wise) between stock cars and the police models is the rear seats and floor boards. Everything else is standard car. The Impalas and CVPIs we have a my sheriff's office are no different than the Impala you can buy from your local Chevy dealership other than the police equipment obviously. The only thing I can think that has been stripped from the cars is the center console and the gear shift is moved up behind the steering wheel. Other than the center console area and the fancy leather seats this is exactly what the inside of our Impalas look like. '>

Just announced! 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit!
Wait a minute. You are complaining that it doesn't retain the classic charger look? The charger hasn't looked like the classic charger for the past 2 generations, lol. Why would all wheel drive help you stop faster? The purpose of all wheel drive is not to help you stop quicker. I drive an all wheel drive car and I don't stop any quicker than a 2 wheel drive car. Also, police cars are not stripped down, they are actually quite heavy and usually heavier than the standard production car. They have to be loaded with all the vehicle equipment and police gear. It isn't like they stripped out the car radio and AC, it still has all the standard charger features.

Riots in St. Louis
The only thing not right about this situation is that people are jumping to conclusions before any facts are out and the facts that have been released all seem to support the officers actions yet people are downplaying them or completely ignoring them all together. What's not right about this situation is that politicians and the media are using it as an excuse to "demilitarize law enforcement" without actually doing real research or have any insight on the issue, just feeding off people's emotions. It disgusts me to no end how the moment a tragedy happens there is always someone there to exploit it for their own personal gain. Take a look at this article: http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/20/us/illinois-hostages/index.html Where is the outrage of military style equipment being used this time? Where is all the media sources talking about how they have a "tank" and camo uniforms? This is exactly the kind of BS I'm talking about. I live overseas so I don't have TV service but I guarantee that CNN or Fox or [insert news station here] isn't giving this article any attention. Throw it up on the website at the bottom of the page. Then I bet when they actually talk about the incident they don't mention one damn word about military equipment but the next moment they will go back to the Ferguson story and talk about all this big bad equipment the police have.

Very nice, I used to live in the DC area (on the VA side though). PG County had different liveries back then though.

I'm Dead...
Lol nope, I just have a better perspective on reality. I find this video funny for a different reason. I find it funny that people can find the most trivial shit to be upset about. Being in the military the fact that someone complains about having to wake up at like 6AM is funny to me, because I would be so happy if I didn't have to wake up until 5AM. I find it funny that people complain about not being able to use the bathroom every hour because I've been in situations where I couldn't go to the bathroom for about 9-10 hours (my current record is 6 days, that's right 6 days). I find it funny that people complain about not being allowed to text all the time in class, because I've gone months without any phone, computer, or any other form of communication with the outside world other than handwritten letters. Or the fact that I go all day without using my phone simply because where I work you are not allowed to bring in outside electronics. So yes, I still have a sense of humor.

If you could bring back any Game/ series
SOCOM, that was my first real introduction to online gaming with the PS2. Once SOCOM 4 came out the game was pretty much ruined for me. SOCOM 3 was the last really good one. SOCOM Confrontation (the first one for PS3) was not bad since it was basically a re-make of SOCOM 2.

Framerate Issue/Need Help
A lot of these issues are not related to hardware, it just comes down to how well the code for the game was written. This is a common issue when I play Flight Simulator; the stock game by itself runs smoothly however when you start introducing addons and making the game do things it was not designed to do then you run into issues. Also GTA IV is a 32 bit game so it can only take advantage of up to 4GB of RAM regardless of how much your computer has installed.

Riots in St. Louis
Like someone already mentioned when you are going through situations like this your adrenaline is pumping pretty hard so you might not feel the pain or even realize how badly you are injured until the situation has calmed down. You can look at many cases where either the police officer or the suspect were shot or stabbed multiple times yet continued to stay in the fight. Personally I have not heard one reliable witness testimony. The only person who has actually claimed to see what happened was Mr. Brown's friend who just minutes prior helped rob a convenience store. These other so called "witnesses" all came out after they heard the gunshots, therefor how would they really know what happened? There are plenty of shootings that have happened that were done in self-defense where the shooter was not arrested immediately following the shooting or at all, the media just doesn't like to give as much attention to those stories. I can think of several shootings recently that didn't involve police where the shooter claimed self-defense and law enforcement was able to find evidence that supported that case.

Riots in St. Louis
That is the most biased article I've seen yet. The information in there is very misleading and the author either chose not to do research or they intentionally left facts out. They focused on a few examples of raids that have gone wrong and of course looking at their resources at the bottom where they cite their information I see that they have listed Wikipedia, which we know is the best source to use when you are writing a professional news article. They list reasons why we need to stop militarizing our police but those, again, are very biased opinions and are not backed up by facts. How about someone does an article about all the warrants served without SWAT teams? Then people would see how many more "raids" occur with no SWAT team present and can focus on what happens then. I'll help them out and give them a case that hits pretty close to home for me. Back in 2011, some officers from the St. Pete Police Department assisted the U.S. Marshals on serving a warrant for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge. The suspect had a long history of violent crimes including aggravated battery, attempted murder, rape, battery on a LEO, and plenty more. There was no SWAT team, helicopters, armored cars, or anything like that. During a search of a house they suspected him to be at they found him hiding in the attic where he ended up shooting and killing two St. Pete police officers and wounding a U.S. Marshal. I don't think any of these people claiming our militarized law enforcement agencies are getting out of control want to hear that story though.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
Maybe it is some weird program I haven't heard of. I know when I lived in Tampa the security forces guys working in MacDill would never leave the post and of course being stationed here in Germany our MPs would never dream of trying to enforce laws off post.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
All I'm saying is that there is a law that specifically says the military cannot do that. No shit, my dad retired from SOCOM this year and is still working there as a DoD contractor now. I used to live up in Pasco County for awhile then did spent some time living in Fort Myers before joining the Army.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
I highly doubt you or anyone you work with goes out and assists in the daily duties of a local or state police officer. That is a direct violation of Title 10 of the United States code. 10 U.S.C. § 375. Restriction on direct participation by military personnel The Secretary of Defense shall prescribe such regulations as may be necessary to ensure that any activity (including the provision of any equipment of facility or the assignment or detail of any personnel) under this chapter does not include or permit the direct participation by a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps in a search, seizure, arrest, or other similar activity unless participation in such activity by such member is otherwise authorized by law. Airborne eh? What unit are you with, I am airborne myself.

Riots in St. Louis
I like how that person tells them in very specific detail what happened as if they were there. I'm very skeptical of that quote and personally I couldn't give two shits about what anyone other than law enforcement officials and eye witnesses (reliable eye witnesses) have to say about what happened, everyone else is just talking out their ass and speculating what happened then trying to twist it into a fact.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
It wouldn't turn out well for the rebel police officers. While they have military style equipment they do not have everything the military has. Despite what the media says the police do not have tanks (they have APC which are completely different from tanks, people are just too stupid to know the difference). There are also no law enforcement agencies in the U.S. with anti-air capabilities (other than the Secret Service) so our air power would make quick work of that. However, this is the most ridiculous scenario I've ever heard of so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
I can't think of any case where federal military has been used for riots in modern history, it is always National Guard units. A small amount of federal military troops were used during hurricane Katrina however that was not a riot, that was a natural disaster on a huge scale. Even those deployments were small compared to the amount of NG units used. Approximately 59,000 NG soldiers were deployed from various states across the U.S. while only about 16,000 Active duty and Reserve soldiers were deployed.

80% of American Police Officers Are Overweight
Lol that is the worst photoshop job I've ever seen.
-
80% of American Police Officers Are Overweight
Is that a serious question? It is required in order to be hired as a police officer. You think that you just walk into the police department and say "I want to be a cop" and they hand you a badge and a gun and tell you to grab the closest police car and hit the streets? The police academy is where police officers are initially trained to be police officers then they usually go through even more training out in the field with more senior officers who train them even more. There is not a single agency in the U.S. where going to the police academy is not a requirement and it has been that way for several decades. I find that statistic hard to believe, or at least very misleading. I am willing to bet that statistic even includes officers who are just a couple of pounds overweight or guys who are just big, muscular guys who are technically overweight but not really. I would like to know how they define overweight and what are they using as a measurement. In the Army we have many guys who are way over their height/weight limit but they are by no means fat, they just are very big guys who go to the gym a lot. That is why the Army will measure your waist and neck to see if you are fat or just big.

Riots in St. Louis
Here we go again. Please cite what law they are violating? Also please cite where law enforcement is shooting at civilians other than the rubber bullets and tear gas. To my knowledge there have not been any reports of law enforcement just opening fire on civilians. This is another case of someone who is just believing what the media is reporting. The media is choosing to report on the use of SWAT teams more frequently because that is what they need to get their ratings. SWAT teams are not being used more frequently, the media is just reporting on it more often and with the increasing amount of technology that allows more and more people to record and post these incidents on the internet it is getting more coverage. I can also tell you have no law enforcement training or experience because if you did you would know how quickly these situations can go downhill. You may think that using a SWAT team to serve a warrant for a simple domestic battery is excessive but you have no idea what is going through some of these people's minds when they see the police coming to arrest them and how they tell themselves that they can't go to jail. Those are the people who see no way out other than to fight back. I would love to see the people who claim we are becoming more like a police state actually live in a police state because then they would realize how immensely far we are from becoming a police state. And the fact that you have listed Russia as an example of a police state just goes to show how little you know about modern day Russia and/or the definition of a police state.

Riots in St. Louis
If you were a cop you would also know the policies and procedures for this situations. One night I responded to a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. We were one of the first units on scene and the guy that was on the bike was clearly deceased however law enforcement is technically not qualified to declare someone dead so we could not pronounce him dead and we had to wait for fire rescue to show up before they could call it. Of course the dude was literally folded in half so they didn't need to take vital signs or anything they just threw the blanket over him. Also even if we wanted to cover the body we didn't have blankets in our cars, what would we have used? You might think a lot of the stuff you see police using is issued to them and that the department hands that stuff out to their officers like candy but that is far from the truth. Even the stuff that is standard issue is in short supply, stuff like notepads and pens are hard to come by in my sheriff's office. You need more business cards? Well you are going to be waiting awhile. Oh you took the radar/laser course, well sorry we don't have anymore radar guns to issue so either you are going to have to wait or buy your own. It was only until about 2010 when my sheriff's office started issuing assault rifles to patrol deputies. If you were a patrol deputy qualified with an assault rifle you had to go out and buy your own. And I'm not talking about some little sheriff's office out in the middle of no where with 10 sworn deputies; my sheriff's office is in a county that is in a major metropolitan area with over 400 personnel so this is a medium sized agency.

Wait, but the guy in that InfoWars videos said there were no riot police present during the looting and they only showed up after the looting was done.

Samsung Galaxy issue
This is the last place I would think of to ask for technology help; not because I don't think people here are not knowledgeable, it is just the last place I would think of, however I have ran into a very annoying issue that I have spent days researching and trying to fix however cannot come up with a solution. The Army has recently moved me to Germany and I brought my Samsung Galaxy S4 with me. I got this S4 when I opened a contract with Verizon about a year ago back in the US. Now that I am living in Germany I bought a German SIM card from Vodafone (for those of you familiar with European cell phone providers) and just buy the pre-paid minutes/texts and data because German cell phone contracts are outrageous. So far this has all gone well and I can call, surf the web, and text.....well, kinda text. I have an issue with my phone where anytime someone texts me it puts the country code for Germany (+49) in front of their number and that makes it so I can't text them back unless I delete the text message and create a new one. So I might have their number saved in my phone as 0151 12345678 but as soon as they text me the phone makes it +49 0151 12345678. Basically I want to know how to disable this feature in my S4. Hopefully there are some other Europeans here that have the S4 and can tell me if they have this issue. Thanks

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
Some valid points, however there are several issues with that. One: the cultural is just very different in the U.S., the time I have spent in Austria, Switzerland, and now Germany I have noticed a lot less violent crime. I am not sure if people are just raised better in these parts of the world or what it is but I believe the culture here in Europe is completely different. The attitudes Europeans have is the complete opposite of the people in the U.S. Two: Unfortunately police don't get to choose where incidents like these happen. Sure, most days that small American town in the middle of Kansas might be quiet and the worst call the police receive is for a loose cow in the road. What happens when that isn't the case though? Or look at a place such as Alaska where your backup might be hours or days away. And I would say that there are a lot of agencies that don't have as much military gear as the media makes them out to have. Of course the media will focus on a handful of agencies that are equipped with high grade military equipment however there are twice as many agencies that have little to no military grade equipment. A good example would be the county that I lived in back in the states. In my county we had a mostly suburban and urban west side of the county with a very rural east side of the county. Our sheriff's office was a medium sized agency and did have an armored truck and our SWAT team had a decent collection of "toys". However, our agency didn't have the funding to have a 24 hour SWAT team so the SWAT members were regular cops who had other duties and were just on call when something happened. That meant that if you need the SWAT team you were going to have to wait awhile for them to get together and roll out. Now if I'm a deputy on the east side of my county where my closest backup is at least 15 mins away and SWAT is probably an hour out at best I am going to want something that will match what the suspect has until more units arrive. Now imagine what it is like for a small town in the middle of nowhere that doesn't have this equipment and has to wait for a state police SWAT team to respond. You got a bank robbery in that small town or a hostage situation and you are waiting for the state police SWAT team to respond from god knows where in the state that could be several hours of waiting in which the suspect can injure or kill people. And keep in mind that the distance can be much greater than it is in most European countries. The entire country of Austria is about the size of the state of South Carolina in the US (Austria being about 83,700 sq km in total area and S.C. being about 82,900 sq km) so the distances are much greater.

Riots in St. Louis
Not sure what boycotting privately own businesses has to do with law enforcement. Walmart has no impact on what law enforcement does so boycotting Walmart is not going to change anything. Love the title of this video. It is clearly not biased in anyway, that is some true unbiased journalism right there. And I can tell this guy actually spent time researching and possibly even going out and conducting interviews based on his professionalism. He clearly did not just go to Wikipedia and Twitter to find out what is happening in St. Louis. (Not sure if you are picking up on my sarcasm but it is there just as an FYI). How do you know they didn't say anything at first? Were you there? And even if this was the case what if they arrived on scene and the man pointed a gun at them? I know that if I pull up and before I say anything someone starts pointing a weapon at me I'm not going say "hold on let me talk to you first" because by then he is already emptying half of his magazine into me. I also like how you say "it is the same scenario every time...and that's true". Where is your evidence? You clearly have knowledge on every police shooting in this country which I find amazing because you are the only person in the country that has that kind of knowledge. Again, where is your evidence? Is this something you can back up with real evidence and not some video link from that same guy you posted earlier. I mean statistical evidence from a reliable source. The same way you know everything about every police shooting in the US and exactly what happened during the incident with Michael Brown. Once again, where is your evidence of the 911 caller lying? I find it really hard to believe that this citizen minding their own business saw this guy and was like "I know what I'll do! I'll call 911 and tell the police he is loading and pointing a firearm at people so the police can come and shoot him." If you seriously believe that then you must be under the age of 8 where anything is possible in your imagination. Oh yay! Another unbiased news source! (More sarcasm if you didn't pick it up) Oh wonderful, another one of those reliable and unbiased news sources you like to post. (Again, sarcasm) This is exactly why you need to do real research if you want to participate in a discussion about something. Because if you base everything you know off of one source (and a clearly biased and unreliable source at that) you come off looking stupid. My suggestion for the future is that if you see something and you don't know much about the topic go do some research and look at several different sources to see what different sides of the stories are. And when people give you opposing sides go and research that, even if you feel you are right. When someone tells me I am wrong or they give me an opposing view I go research it really quick even if I feel (or know) I am right just to make sure I have all facts and view points on the topic. And unless you have some kind of evidence or first hand knowledge about something don't state it as a fact. If someone says something I don't believe is true I go research it really quick to make sure that what I'm about to say to counter them is actually a fact because there are times where I could have sworn that I was right and I go look something up to double check or I look at a different source and I find out that what I thought was a fact is actually not. So unless you are ready to back up your claims I recommend not posting them.

Why doesn't the military handle large riots
As stated in a few comments up there have been times where the US military has been called in to enforce the law; the 1992 LA Riots and during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 are some of the most well known situations. However, the issue with that is the military is not trained to deal with rioting and enforcing laws. Even the military police are not trained on local laws, they are trained on the military law so having the military act as a police force even for a temporary amount of time is not as effective as you might think because they do not fully know the law. Of course they go through some small amount of training before they are deployed but this is not nearly enough time to teach a military how to act as a police force. These issues were evident during Hurricane Katrina when national guard soldiers would unintentionally interfere with police investigations by illegally detaining and searching people. Of course their intentions were to assist the police in catching criminals and securing the area however those criminal cases were now invalid due to illegal detainment and searches. This has also been an issue in Iraq and Afghanistan where are military is now faced with new challenges where we started out fighting conventional forces and now we have moved to fighting unconventional forces as well as having to assist in policing the country because the local military and/or police forces are either non-existent or very ineffective. Remember the military's primary purpose is to protect the US and US interests from foreign threats not internal security. I would have to disagree with you on this. I will give you a little history lesson in law enforcement and hopefully that will give you some more insight as too why law enforcement agencies are becoming increasingly armed. 1980: In Norco, CA sheriff's deputies responding to a bank robbery in progress came under fire from 5 suspects armed with AR-15s and HK-93sassault rifles as well as homemade explosive devices killing one sheriff's deputy. 1986: The Miami FBI shootout where the suspects carried a Ruger Mini 14 assault rifle and 12 gauge shotgun shot 5 FBI agents, killing 2 of them. 1997: The North Hollywood shootout where two bank robbers armed with several different assault rifles with high capacity drum magazines and were illegally modified to shoot full auto, as well as shotguns and handguns wearing full body armor were involved in a shootout that lasted approximately 30 minutes. LAPD officers were only armed with handguns and shotguns that were not effective against the suspects and had to call for the SWAT team and borrow weapons from a local gun store in order to match the suspects fire power. 2009: In March 4 Oakland PD officers were shot and killed by a rape suspect armed with an SKS rifle and handgun. In April 3 Pittsburgh PD officers were killed by a suspect armed with an AK-47 style assault rifle. These are only a handful of incidents, the list is even longer than this. The entire reason police carry what they do and drive big armored vehicles is because the criminals have them as well. Before 1997 LAPD officers were issued only a 9mm handgun and 12 gauge shotgun, almost immediately following the North Hollywood shootout the LAPD bought surplus M16s from the US military to issue to patrol officers and many other agencies around the nation followed suit. So you can see that police are only carrying these weapons in order to keep up with what more and more criminals are carrying these days. I find it wrong that the same politicians who are now talking about how we need to "demilitarize our law enforcement" are the same politicians who oppose all gun control laws in the US. Basically they are saying that it is ok for citizens to arm themselves with small arsenals but the moment law enforcement officers carry the exact same weapons it is wrong.

Pasco County Sheriff's Office New Cruiser
Well unless you would like to make me a newer Taurus this one will have to do until a new one comes out for IV.
