  1. Long story short, I think the choice is up to the mother, not the government.
  2. I'm atheist. Don't really have much reasoning, I just think the scientific evidence makes more sense.
  3. Another thing that should probably be taken into account, is that in most European countries, cops patrol in pairs. So unlike a lot of US departments, you'll have 2 officers in 1 car. But like I said, they've got guns over here but they rarely use them. Say, a person with a knife is threatening cops. Either they would keep him busy long enough for a 2nd unit to arrive from the other side (shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, if not less) or one of the officers would just sneak around and come in from the side or back so the suspect won't see it coming. No guns needed, no serious injuries and no 5 hours worth of paperwork. It's worked more than once over here.
  4. I'm pretty sure that if they would need it, they'd issue cops with guns. As long as they don't need them, why bother? It's only going to cost you quite a lot of money. For good measures, I'll let everyone know what it's like over here, as most people seem to do so. Over here, cops do have guns on them, it's some 9mm gun but I can't remember what it is. Still, they rarely ever use them, because gun crime isn't that high here, especially against cops. It mainly a precaution in case batons or pepper spray doesn't work. And if the cops don't have another choice but to shoot someone, they do actually aim for the legs or sometimes arms. It's been ages since someone actually got killed by cops, but they did shoot someone in the leg quite recently.
  5. Assuming you've got multiple game files, are you sure you're verifying/editing the right one? Because what you're telling right now is virtually impossible.
  6. If it still doesn't work, extract the vehicles you want to keep from the vehicles.img, then delete it and let steam verify the game cache again. It should realize the file is missing and replace it with the original one. All you'll have to do then is install the extracted vehicles again.
  7. So what you are saying is that all the 142.000+ members on here should reply to this topic, otherwise they are all racists? What you are doing here, is judging people on something completely irrelevant. You are calling them racists without any good reason to do so, as you do not know a lot, if anything at all about most of those 142.000+ members. Calling them racists based on the fact someone doesn't post does not make a lot of sense, nor is it actually a valid argument.
  8. It's the . key, which should be between , and / on the bottom right of your keyboard. Period is the US name for the dot I think.
  9. There is a list of weapon names in the LCPDFR user documentation, page 28. To make life slightly easier, it's Rifle_M4 :)
  10. Quick question, how many liveries are there on those cars? Too many leads to issues and the Marq version of the landstalker is bugged anyway, Yard is working on that I think.
  11. Open vehicles.ide, look for the line of the vehicle you want to enable multiple liveries on and add +livery at the end.
  12. Got ninja'd by ineseri halfway trough typing, but I'm gonna post it anyway. As stated in another topic, the trademark is there to prevent anyone else from using those names as it refers to LCPDFR. It does not mean there will actually be a mod, similar to LCPDFR, for GTA V. No confirmation on such a mod can be made untill the game is out for pc and the developers have taken a look at it.
  13. I'm surprised you're all still trying to win. 0.
  14. So should I post now or wait for you to get to something higher?
  15. First of all, make sure you've got a legal version of the game, as cracks tend to not work and aren't supported. It is not necessary but highly recommended to back up all your GTA files before installing LCPDFR or any other mod. Download LCPDFR 1.0c from the downloads section, and install it. Make sure it works before adding mods. If you want, you can download additional scripts/mods from the downloads section too. Now, as for the Dutch things, I know there are an ambulance and some uniforms somewhere on this site, I'd recommend just searching on Dutch in the search bar. There's a guy on Youtube that has quite a lot of Dutch police cars and a few peds. Don't remember the channel name, but Youtube's got a search bar for a reason. For these cars you will need ELS v8, which can also be downloaded from this site. As for the firefighter/paramedic thing you mentioned, you can try gangrenns firefighter mod, which, again, can be found in the downloads section. I'm not sure if it goes well withb LCPDFR in the same game folder, so you might want to get another GTA IV folder for that, like you've hopefully done for LCPDFR too. Another thing I can highly recommend is the Simple Native Trainer (SNT). Google it and make sure to take the latest version. Also, in the SNT options menu, disable hotkeys, otherwise funny stuff may happen. And last but most definitely not least, ALWAYS READ THE README FILES
  16. If only I knew. Maybe they handle better because they're smaller? Anyway, this model does look better than the older ones. Just imagine an older Mercedes in the same shape, but with a big lightbar bolted to the roof, pretty much where the unit number is on this one.
  17. Because of the amount of people in the city center (especially during weekends) my local ambulance service uses bicycles to get around. As far as I know they only carry basic equipment to start treatment before a regular ambulance arrives. Another advantage is that, unlike motorbikes (which we've got too), rapid response cars or regular ambulances, these bikes can get into the train station without problems. Some of you might also consider the regular ambulances a bit strange. Most ambulance services here use Mercedes Sprinter vans, but my area and I think 1 or 2 others use custom built vehicles, which are a bit smaller, but they did manage to fit all the necessary equipment in the back with quite a lot of space left.
  18. This has to be changed in the vehicle config file in the ELS folder. More information on how to change this can be found in the ELS User Guide, Paragraph 4.04 (click on the paragraph in the table of contents at the top of the User Guide to jump there directly).
  19. The reason behind the trademark is to prevent others from using it, as it is related to LCPDFR. It does not guarantee there will be a LSPDFR mod.
  20. Policehelper and LCPDFR do actually work together, however you need to disable all the random events spawned by policehelper.
  21. I think Game4Video replaces a few ELS related things. Try reinstalling ELS.
