  1. Spend more than 5 minutes. The font is boring, colors are too bright, a lot of the text is cut off by objects like door handles or the light bars. I gave you 2 stars since the skin is functional.
  2. Real SUV's don't flip when you turn slowly (usually), but they certainly can flip easily at high speeds. I drive a Chevy Trailblazer myself. Cars like Tahoe's, Expeditions, Suburbans or Expeditions are even worse with rollover accidents.
  3. My local department has the 'MS Stencil' font on their cars and equipment. I'd rather they use Comic Sans if I had a choice.
  4. That's correct, if you don't want to use a trainer or can't for some odd reason, you can avoid reloading the scripts by stopping off at the nearest police station, walk in and walk out. If you're going to frisk someone though, I'd just shove them out of the way before you walk behind them if you're close to a wall. They don't fight back when stopped.
  5. So you're saying the Police Patriot default handling makes you flip the truck all the time? Learn to drive, dude. lol SUV's like that are top heavy in real life and it takes skill to drive them at high speeds. It takes all of the fun and challenge out of the game if you make big trucks handle like Ferrari's. SUV's are supposed to have a hard time catching people on motorcycles, they shouldn't overtake and outmaneuver them.
  6. Changed it, thanks. I won't note cost, because then to be fair I'd have to note that the 8 core claim is misleading to the unaware consumer as each of the 8 cores is smaller and has less processing power than Intel cores and even stock Intel Quad Core i7's can meet or beat it in benchmark tests. This could then in turn start a flame war between those who use Intel vs. AMD and how much money people need to spend and all of that crap. Whoops.
  7. You mean the VisualSettings.dat file? I replaced it with the one in the .RAR file. I think I found the setting you're asking about though; # Other emissive lights car.defaultlight.emissive.on 45.00 car.defaultlight.emissive.off 0.05 car.brakelight.emissive.on 12.00 car.brakelight.emissive.off 0.05 car.middlebrakelight.emissive.on 12.00 car.middlebrakelight.emissive.off 0.05 car.reversinglight.emissive.on 6.00 car.reversinglight.emissive.off 0.10 car.extralight.emissive.on 45.00 car.extralight.emissive.off 0.05 I'm guessing you're suggesting that I lower the value of the reverse lights and that will take care of it? Or is there another setting you were talking about? Also Matosh: It's Vucko's ENB Version 6.0

Would you want some little kid to come by pick it up? That'd be pretty careless. Just don't cycle to them in your inventory. Use the numeral keys if you don't like using your scroll wheel. 1 = fists, 2 = baton, 3 = pistol, 4 = shotgun, 6 = rifle. Regarding ID's, you can currently do that with other mods, yeah.
  9. Those settings aren't for "good lights", they're supposed to be reducing the bloom problem I have, which it doesn't. So no, they don't work on any ENB.
  10. You can't really change driving AI, only give it instructions. I see you're new to the site, which I'm guessing means you never played previous versions of LCPDFR. I'll tell you that the pullover function that we have now is far better than the one in version .91. Anyway all of that being said, Rockstar gave GTA IV peds very rudimentary driving skills because it's only one part of the game and they are supposed to be crappy drivers who get in the way. People also almost never hit my patrol car, only if I stop someone with a car literally on my bumper, which you shouldn't do. Pullovers should be conducted in a safe area for both you and the person you're stopping.
  11. That didn't work, if anything that made it worse. Maybe the effects you're using are for a different ENB.
  12. Minecraft looks that way because it's designed to be nostalgic, not because the animators haven't made a game in 30 years. It also doesn't take 10 seconds to navigate and click a button to perform an action and get a response when you play it. It's not the 1980's anymore. I don't want to play a game of that caliber. I want to play one that's been made this year, which means it has a proper physics engine, fast pacing, good story and is something that plays well in general. Mark my words, when this game is finished, if it's finished, the only thing going for it for anyone on this forum will be that it's somewhat of a police sim.
  13. I don't see why you narrowed it down further than I did, KM964 now anybody can guess the ending. Oh well, at least it's not me.
  14. The majority of "the book" in this case has already been written. The game engine's already created, that's how they have a tech demo available. I'm not saying they can't polish it more, but the real game most likely won't be much different. They'd have to redo all of the animations and voice overs to make that little demo impress me the least bit. It looks like someone with no game industry experience wrote it by themselves, which probably is indeed the case. So nothing against him, but the game looks pretty bad and most likely will be with a small inexperienced coding team and only a half million in the bank at most.
  15. My apologies if that offended you, but you seemed rather sure of yourself and I found those two pages to be way off the mark. Most guys who post in this thread have a heap of experience with PC building and modding, and you can take our word for it that gaming PC's don't cost $250 otherwise none of us would be spending $1000+. If you have a friend who can give you stuff for free though, that's another case. I hope it works out in your favor, anyway.
  16. Since we're in the spirit of ruining stories, Niko and Packie's sister getting together doesn't happen. I'll be a little polite by not ruining why not. That being said, there are two endings to the game.
  17. Is this GTA IV or EFLC? GTA IV worked stably with all of those slots modded on my older system with an AMD Phenom II 955BE X4, 6GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX570. My newer one with an Intel Core i7 3770K, 6GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX670 has texture issues. GTA IV now gives me problems and I've had to switch to EFLC to use my Police, Police 2, Police 3, NOOSE and FBI slots modded. I don't crash much anymore, but I can get texture drop out when a lot of squad cars pile up. I also can't insert a Chevy Tahoe into the PolPatriot slot any longer, or the game freezes on the vehicle selection screen. EFLC manages RAM better I'd say, but it's still not perfect. GTA IV doesn't care that you have 24GB of RAM, I'm sorry to say. I can't comment much on video RAM, since GTA IV performs WORSE now that I have more video RAM on my current graphics card than on my previous one.
  18. Dash cam mod is a good solution, however keep in mind you can get bored quick as AI cars in GTA IV are supposed to be locked to a certain speed and driving pattern unless there are some radical circumstances like gunshots being fired nearby or if you smash into someone with your car. You can learn eyeball speeders in-game every now and then if you drive in real life, but you're going to catch a lot of different traffic violations in GTA IV that aren't speeding. This would include things like lane changes without signaling, hard swerving between lanes, blowing red lights at certain intersections that weren't coded properly in-game, ramming into the back of someone else's car, not stopping at a stop sign next to a green traffic light (yes, you still have to obey the sign even if your light is green), a bus or large truck traveling in the fast lane, beat up cars with missing headlights or license plates that are falling off, scooters that aren't allowed on the highway and motorcyclists without a helmet. I'm sure there are more things than that, but that's usually what I stop people for. I very rarely find any speeders.
  19. -Download latest version of the .NET framework -Download latest version of Games For Windows Live -Update all graphics drivers -Patch to latest version of GTA IV if it's not the STEAM version. -If it is the STEAM version, right click the game in your library and have STEAM check the file integrity.
  20. So were you lying to me or just terribly mistaken? Because that doesn't have a 4.0ghz CPU or a dedicated graphics card of any kind, never mind a good one. My graphics card alone cost me $350 and it wasn't the best I could get at the time, only 3rd best. Both computers you posted are refurbished business computers. They don't support a lot of RAM, they don't have modern PCI Express slots, they don't come with graphics cards, the CPU's are 7 years old, they're a waste of money. Save up.
  21. That game looks terrible. I don't think I need to go into detail as to why. Good concept but I can tell at this rate it's going to be poorly executed even after a half million is spent on it.
  22. Setting it to 2 made the glare problem worse. And what do you mean by "copy enbbloom.fx" into the folder? That file's already there. I'll check the radiuses, but the numbers are way higher than 1 & 4. "Radius1=64 Radius2=128" Should I really put them that low? Or should I just slice them in half or something? Or do I have to experiment?
  23. Not gonna happen. You can't even buy a terrible computer for that amount. Save up.
  24. Doesn't this belong in the 'Other Games' section of the forum? Also, no.
