  1. just So Much Better, really. All-white LSSD fleet... Helicopters, cruisers, interceptors, Grangers, Transporters...
  2. I'd see an all-white SUV instead. Maybe save panda units for the LSSD and white livery -- for the BCSD. But making a black-and-white sheriff cruiser would be kinda dull, it'll mix with the city units.
  3. GTA V has so much place for texture editing I guess you'll find some space for each other lol. But yeah, first there gotta be mapped vehicles...
  4. You should create a "Yard1's Awesome and Must Have Textures" thread to keep all your awesome releases in one place. I assume you do plan other awesome textures, correct?
  5. If I understand the Illusionary correctly he meant something like this. Not a Bearcat or another law enforcement-designed vehicle, but caterpiller-tracked ex-military armored unit. hey wait, you didn't enjoy driving it in GTA SA during Los Santos riots? v_v
  6. The best image of a police officer I have is a friendly person in a nice but appropriate uniform with maybe a pair of cuffs, a baton, a taser, a flashlight, talking to people sitting on their doorsteps in the morning. Kinda like British cops I guess. But there's totally nothing wrong in bringing all the power you have if a riot or a serious crime occurs, because if there's a "tank" (or actually an APC) that can offer more protection it's wise to use it. I guess you remember the CHP troopers slain in Newhall? Officers had no vests and simple revolvers, so they were gunned down one by one. Different cultures, different environments. In Paris this winter two officers were killed before they even realized what was going on, in the USA cops killed the perps. In Russia we have extremely militarized police, which is bad, but their special units receive military-grade training, which is good and helps in kicking some asses. Tl;dr militarizing cops is bad. Providing them with some special tools for special occasions might save somebody's life.
  7. Just maybe this thing is a bit too much for a sheriff department, even if they border Mexico. In my country cops are really heavily militarized, wearing camo, carrying AKs, driving huge APCs, and this all at the expense of the actual police work. Instead of spending money on investigative equipment and training they buy APCs and IMVs. Don't know how this is in the States though...
  8. What are this plugin's advantages? I'm not too good at ones and zeroes...
  9. Whatever the government does it attracts the kind of attention you described. Execute a criminal - oh god government kills people what if he's innocent u can't kill him he repents. Lock them up in Gitmo - oh god you violate their human rights and torture them close all prisons now. So where's no way out of this, I think. From the punishment point of view I support life time incarceration too. Of course, if America comes to where Norway is, having prison cells equipped like a hotel, incarceration won't deter anyone.
  10. It's just for the player's protection because some times NPCs consider fire extinguishers as weapons and attack... Maybe call a police unit as a backup?
  11. In older version of the LCPDFR different speech lines were attached to Numpad and named "random intimidation phrase" and "random pursuit phrase". So technically it was possible to select specific lines, attach them to different buttons, and use in a suitable situation. Though I'd like to save those pull-over phrases, it's more interesting that way. And also more realistic for me.
  12. That's some The Lost and Damned shit! Glad no civilians or officers are caught in a crossfire.
  13. Yep. It's from a movie about a snowstorm or something, 1970's. Don't watch it, you won't like it.
  14. I have two separate feeling about this issue. First, I do like this initiative because Sweden governments wants to rehabilitate, not punish. That's the attitude I'd love to see in the future (a really distant future that is) towards people who really want to break free from their bad life. Not incarcerating or labeling people for the rest of their lives but helping them. And second, it's just plain naive and stupid to believe that people who volunteer to kill and torture will not abuse and exploit this opportunity? It's like those libertarian theories: sounds really nice but when applied to real life people it turns into shit.

  16. Oh, I'm fine with the default fire engine, it looks nice and has enough lights, unlike it's GTA IV counterpart. And I agree about Ambulances, this Burrito-based model was alright in LC, but in LS something more Dodge-like will be better. We have Bison in GTA V modeled after Dodge, so it would be possible to create a nice model using in-game cars.
  17. I'm having this trouble for a while now. My PC specs are: OS: Win7 64 Processor: Intel Core I7-3770 CPU @3.40GHz RAM: 8 Gb Video card: GeForce GTX-760 2GB memory. Those specs looks kinda enough for running GTA V at least on low settings, but even GTA IV and GTA EFLC keep crashing. GTA IV has a lot of mods and scripts installed, and maybe that's the reason. EFLC has nothing (only yesterday I installed the TrafficLoad plugin). I have no idea at all why does it crash, as no specific error message is displayed. Could anyone suggest a reason? Overheating, not enough memory, something like that?
  18. Yeah, but, well, given those late news about malware in different scripts mod it's hard to trust third party modders for me now. So, if the devs would include some small features like that in LSPDFR, it would be rather nice from their side...
  19. Well, the more an answer is indirect, the more it's interesting for me! But I don't want to trouble you any more, thanks for explaining this part. My country went through the same procedure 15 years ago. Can't say it works.
  20. Well, probably they have their reasons or something. I'm more interested in the lawish side of things. Could you please tell me, does this report describe the legal aspects of this re-integration program? I mean, must crimes, committed by a Swedish citizen abroad, be prosecuted in Sweden? And if the answer is yes, how does this report propose to bypass it? And are all the homecomers included in this program, including those who committed serious crimes?
