  10. If you release your car with my handling included, yes please do write that there.
  11. That sounds like a model bug tbh. I don't understand, because I'm sure I've made the handling line for exactly that car and I didn't have that problem. Maybe he updated the car, and the update got messed up. I'd suggest contacting him about it. @matt1008 I suggest trying out this suburban handling line, since the tahoe, the suburban and the silverado (the 2001 era) are pretty similar. 2650 0.37 85 0.0 0.05 -0.16 0.5 4 0.135 5.0 240 0.45 0.55 0.6 33 1.4 1.0 14 0.2 0.46 3.0 1.3 1.3 0.1 -0.1 0.025 0.44 2.0 1.0 2.2 2.3 0.0 70000 440010 0 0 If there's a problem with it let me know, and I'll make 1 properly for the Silverado. @tz71 Yes, that'd be the 2006 Impala handling made for EVI's Impala: 1696.0 0.33 85 0.0 0.15 -0.25 1.0 4 0.16 1.0 225 0.45 0.56 0.6 33.0 1.6 1.3 11.0 0.11 0.48 2.7 1.8 1.8 0.1 -0.07 0.00 0.52 1.0 1.0 2.2 1.5 0.0 25000 400010 00000010 0

  13. Modding has never been about payment. And I know how talented people can be with 3D modelling, but that's nothing compared to what game developers do. They produce a whole game; yes as a team; but a game usually takes at least a year to make, and I'm pretty sure they make models like we do in a few days. (sometimes in minutes if you look at laser scanning method) Modding is not even strictly speaking legal, since we are modifying a content we did NOT make. Even the idea, that we'd ask payment for something like this, is ridiculous (ofcourse in my opinion). There are mods for the game Assetto Corsa that wants you to pay them, and trust me they get nothing, but hate for it. They are selling real life models, trying to profit from a game they haven't made, or a company whose cars they made without permission. The only reason they don't get sued right away is because they use non-existing brand names and non-existing sponsor decals on the car, however I still believe this would be illegal (since the cars do look the same). Anyway if the author wanted to make profit out of his 3D models (which is totally acceptable), he could very much do that without charging the modding community, by uploading his 3D models on a site that sells 3D models. If you take a look at SNT, I mean how complex it is, that must have required a lot of work to make, but still the author never even thought about asking money for it; hell not even for donation. Ps.: Sorry for the long story lol

  15. It's not like we only rip from EA. And just because we think (yes I do too) that EA is a kind of greedy company, won't make it okay to rip it. Or if it's okay, then it should be okay all around. That's just my 2 cents. *takes cover behind his keyboard*
  16. Hmm that's odd. Is the car bouncing very fast like it had hydraulics or something or is the suspension squishy or something, making it bounce a bit more. Btw this is the handling line optimized for EVI's PIU: 2232.0 0.36 85 0.0 0.05 -0.35 0.7 4 0.165 4.0 190 0.5 0.55 0.5 34.0 1.72 0.95 11.0 0.05 0.47 3.0 2.0 2.0 0.08 -0.08 -0.02 0.5 2.0 1.0 2.2 2.5 0.0 25000 400010 00000010 0 optimized for EVI's Police Interceptor Utility and when I tested, it was fine. Is it possible that's a different model? Can you link which model are you using?
  17. I like it when people are complaining about their work being ripped, but they don't give a damn about ripping other people's work. Ahum Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012.

  19. If you fire up vehicles.ide you can see a column called "DefDirtLevel". According to the first part of the ide file: # 0.0 -> dirt range is <0.0; 1.0> (full range - default) # 0.5 -> dirt range is <0.5; 1.0> # 0.75 -> dirt range is <0.75;1.0> So if you edit all the cars to have a DefDirtLevel of 0.0, it'll more likely spawn clean, I believe this won't make all the cars spawn clean, but most of them will be.
  20. I've had this when something was overheating (I think it was my videocard): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=272475136 But it could be a bugged model as well. If it only happens with those cars, it's probably a bug with the model. A few of skylinegtr's helicopters had that bug too, but I don't know how he fixed it, if he did that is.
  21. Don't change the texture itself. In zmod, switch to faces mode, click on the light mesh you want to edit, select all the lightemissive parts you want to edit, make sure selected mode is on, now switch to vertex mode, (you should see orange lines coming out of the selected areas), now go to paint -> color and select a dark grey color, and hit apply a few times (at least 5 times, you can click 2000 times as well, it won't get darker that way, but you need to click on it at least 5 times). Now the selected area should not be as bright as it once was, and the texture itself still has the same brightness you wanted.
