  1. My fault, I thought he meant "then" as in "then it can work". Sorry guys.
  2. I think he means update GTA IV, and then it will work. As it said (in his words) " a newer version of gta than it can handle". Well, here's Patch 1.0.7.0: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/484496-grand-theft-auto-iv-patch-7-title-update-v-1-0-7-0-english-1-0-6-1-russian-1-0-5-2-japanese If you're playing Episodes from Liberty City, then you need patch 1.1.2.0: http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/479428-grand-theft-auto-episodes-from-liberty-city-title-update-1-1-2-0-patch-2 Oh, and Tom H, I named the patches the right way to make you happy!
  3. Try lowering your Vehicle Density if possible, it will save your PC from having to load the extra vehicles.
  4. Man... I can't wait any longer for that Vic! By the way EVI, how come all your cars are sexy? -Nick
  5. Agreed. That's too bad, she wasn't ugly at all, no idea why they would call her that. Well, R.I.P... At my school, people actually like it when you're helpful, guess not at her school.
  6. Try to not minimize your game, as that will usually cause it (for me too). I will usually minimize the game while playing Multiplayer, go on a few websites to take a break, come back and I get that message. So I would say it's normal, and nothing to worry about. But you seem to get it while in game, playing 5-7 minutes, which is not normal. Try doing what Break said, and try to exit out (minimize the window and return) little as possible if you are doing that. Your speed looks good, actually, better than mine. So you shouldn't be experiencing this issue at all.
  7. Which model are you talking about? Clcik on EVI's Profile, select "Files", and it will show you the last 10 Files he has submitted.
  8. Well, I agree. R* Toronto (or however you spell it) were not the most experienced. Plus, GTA IV was a huge game. Maybe not in features, but graphic-wise, it was very large for its time. A whopping 14 GB. Games can be difficult to port. I'm not a developer, but from what I have seen, it can be hell. Could R* Toronto done better? Yes. But they did okay, and from what I have heard, GTA IV has quite a few tech difficulties during development, even more so during the port. RDR too, had quite alot of trouble during development. After 7 Patches, GTA IV is much smoother now compared to the 1.0.1.0 2008 version. To this day, I still wonder why R* never ported RDR to PC, and if they ever will. It had alot of potential, with modding also. Which is one thing that really angers me when looking back.
  9. If he's talking about how to open GTA IV, then click LaunchIV (for GTA IV) and click LaunchEFLC if you're playing Episodes from Liberty City. Didn't really understand which you were referring to.
  10. Here's the thing, if the developer plans to release it for a multi platform (360, PS3, and PC for example) and develop the game on the PC, then they will not know where the boundary line is for the 360 and the PS3 (in terms of what they can handle). So building it on PC, and then porting it to console will not work out due to the game being too large or too graphic advanced for it to handle. So most developers build games on console, and then release the game for the PC. Consoles are holding the gaming generation back. Imagine GTA V if it was just made for PC, with consoles out of the picture? They could have a huge map, advanced detail, insanely long single player stories, etc... We would be years ahead, if we didn't have the limitations of consoles holding us back. Plus, more people own consoles. It will probably always be like this. They are meant more toward crowds that aren't serious gamers, or people who don't have the money for a advanced PC that plays the game with moderate settings. If you think of it, consoles are much more user friendly. All you have to do is buy one, buy a game, pop the disk in, update it once and a while, and that's it. For PC, you have to worry about updating your drivers, having to constantly upgrade your hardware to keep up with the evolving games, and much more. That's why consoles are, and probably always will be more popular than PC's, which is why developers will always focus more on the console versions, and release the PC platform version of the game later. This is the case with most games/developers, R* for example, who always release the PC version after. Whether it's a week, month, year, or not at all (RDR for example). That's why the PC version is always put behind, even though the future of gaming isn't possible without PC's. I have nothing against consoles (I own a 360 and used to have a PS2), and I even find them nice for a low stress, relaxing gaming experience, which can be easier. While on the PC, I can enjoy more advanced graphics, mod, and play a few games which are for PC only.

  13. CVPI with Whelen Edge 9000 (for the late 1990's) and the CVPI with Whelen Justice Clear LED for present day.
  14. It means Halogen. Which means ELS vehicles that only support Halogen rotators. I think...
  15. Okay, Run installer as Admin, and make sure your GTA Folder is not read-only. This is a very common issue...
  16. OMG OMG! Thanks EVI! I love you! I love you! Edit: I love love love love love love you! Thank you so much man, it means alot. I can't even type!

  19. Yesterday I saw a local Deparment using the Ford Explorer Interceptor. It was nice, I like the way they have lights mounted on the bull bar.
  20. Disable keys. Open trainer menu in-game>Options>Scroll over until you find Disable Keys.

  22. EDIT: Nevermind A Pack? Hmm... Bing time... Okay, all I get is the Wallpaper that you would put in your House. Not the computer kind. I'll try different keywords, but it doesen't look like I'm going to find anything... Nothing, sorry. I spent 15 minutes, and no luck. If I can't find one, then I don't think anyone is. Your best bet is looking on Google/Bing images for emergency vehicle Wallpapers. But there aren't any "packs".
