  1. Great, on both issues! Will download when available.
  2. I'm using the latest version of the Enhanced Vapid. The word "Vapid" on the back stays even when it's removed from the badge texture. Same thing happens with your Liberty Vapid, and I'm assuming the other two as well (though I don't have those installed).
  3. I believe that has more to do with the studio that made the Red Dead games has been almost exclusively a console developer. As to why they didn't have someone else port it, who knows?
  4. But they aren't CVPIs, they're SPIs (Stainer). All GTA vehicles take inspiration from various real world cars, but they are their own entity, and should be treated as such. R* has crafted a detailed and in-depth satirical world, and they deserve credit for it. And don't get me wrong, I like the overall look of a CVPI a little more than R*s take, but it doesn't diminish my appreciation of their vehicle design.
  5. Ekalb, one very important suggestion would be to update all of your Vapid models to the enhanced version, including the Arjent and Liberty-styles, and the older slicktop model, though the new one could just replace that outright. If you could also take some of the enhancements from the new slicktop (divider, plates, grill, badges, additional or replacement rambar). Oh, and speaking of badges. Abraxas released some new badge textures in his new pack that are supposed to remove the Vapid lettering on the back, but it doesn't have any effect. Must be part of some other texture I can't locate, or part of the model itself.
  6. Abraxas, great job on all those skins! That had to have been some project. Speaking of projects, if you're looking for a few more vanilla vehicles, how about >Pinnacle, >Stockade (Just LC and ASP Corrections, maybe ESU for either, and NOOSE to make it easier) >Burrito (Since the Speedo is ELS, though the textures may be easily converted, I'll take a look at those myself), >Buzzard, and >Swift; those are, of course, all the other vehicles I currently use (or would like to).
  7. Got around to that mission. It felt great to be chasing cars down the highway as a cop, even under false pretenses.
  8. Very nice, Sam! Looks like I'll be replacing my current mod with this (sorry Yard).
  9. Wonderful work, great to see it released! If only we could use all these skins at once, along with an updated Area Livery Mod... one can dream.
  10. That's one of the charms of GTA. Close enough to the things they are satirizing, but enough difference to feel like something different.
  11. I've seen ambulances show up plenty of times to downed people. I've also been assaulted by four paramedics during a punching spree. However, it seems even knocking people out kills them. I don't know if I've seen medics revive anyone.
  12. So... I used a gas can to set fire to a gas station and a car, and called the FD. They actually got out with fire extinguishers and put out the fires! Tried again after shooting a car until the engine went up. They ignored it, BUT... the fire went out on it's own and then I wasn't even able to get in the car. So we've got engine fires that don't end up spreading to the gas tank, but you seem to be able to rupture the tank in severe crashes. Had it happen twice: once was my vehicle during a chase. I slammed hard sideways into a wall, and then noticed my tire caught fire (I'm assuming that was because the tank ruptured). I died soon after so I don't know how it would have ended up. The other one was a cop car I T-Boned during a chase... that was the end of that. Anyone else noticed similar things?
  13. Just one of the random events that happen.
  14. There was a female deputy outside of the countryside hospital I came out of after a chase. She dodged my sucker punch.
  15. I actually got into a fist fight with a group of, I'm assuming, FIB agents or similar at a random building out in the county. A guy in construction gear didn't like me standing around, shoved me, and the fight started. Whooped him, then the suits moved in and I fought them one-on-one, then the last two moved in, one with a baton. As I'm wailing on them, a Sheriff finally showed from the star I got, which turned into two stars, and the last two guys pulled guns and it was over pretty quick. All in all, a fun little event. And it does seem easy to get two stars. I guess it's accurate a parody of the LAPD would take no shit. As for the sixth star, we know the military is featured in the games, tanks and all, so I'm thinking that star, if in the game, will either only happen on missions or later in the game.
  16. It's been a bit of a struggle to de-learn GTA4 driving, which I miss already. Cars are almost TOO responsive now; I think I'm going to drift around a corner and I almost do a 90 degree turn sometimes (using Franklin's ability I went from 60-0 in about 5 feet). I've still managed to mess up a car enough that the wheels get jammed, and roll-overs seem more impressive, though you can hold the stick over to roll back over pretty easily it seems. It's something to get used to, but I'm not going to let it ruin any enjoyment of the game.
  17. Was not expecting that. I've already watched one stop-turned-shootout. One cop went down as soon as he stepped out the door, but the other managed to clean up, including wasting the last guy with a shotgun while sitting on the ground after being shot.
  18. Very nice, a much better job than GTA4. What real livery does the "POLICE" one resemble, or does it seem to be fictional? It seems that the LAPD-style ones are rare compared to the "POLICE" vehicles from all the videos I've seen.
  19. Do the "Classic GTA": cause as much death and destruction as possible and test the limits of the police system.
  20. If it doesn't force loading and unloading of car models, it can't fix the taxi bug.
  21. Oh, nice! I never could throw together a good looking version of Caine's skin for the non-Vapids.
