  2. Hello everyone! I'd like to offer you a sneak peak at the development of one of my two new callout packs! These callouts/features are focused on the less GTA side of policing! There is no current release date, it will be done when I complete all of the following and feel as though it is stable. I'd plan on at least 3 weeks, but most likely more. Included with the release will be the following: 1. A personal, integrated MDT - containing report writing functionality, a map of LS, and (potentially) a ped database (although it may not tie into LSPDFR). This alone has taken me about 10 hours to complete to its current stage (seen in pictures below). 2. Accident callouts that require the player to simply direct traffic in an area - my plan for these is to have the player respond and maintain control of the scene (you may be first on scene or last, I plan on making that dynamic). 3. Community policing - a feature that will get you out of your cruiser! I plan on making it force you to walk around an area (like a shopping mall, convenience store, etc) and forcing you to talk to people. Something may happen, but most likely not. 4. Reports of a. Shots b. Shoplifting c. Racing individuals d. Etc. The above will require you to talk to the reporter and write a detailed report regarding the situation. I plan on incorporating some sort of feedback mechanism using the MDT to see whether you got accurate information/remembered it all. (Maybe, we'll see). 5. And more I'm sure! Here's a sneak peak at the basic MDT. I plan on incorporating more features to it (specifically suspect information in the reports cause I forgot that hahaha) as well as a navigation bar at the bottom so you know where you are. **IF YOU HAVE DECENT EXPERIENCE WITH MDTs IN REAL LIFE PLEASE PM ME AS I HAVE QUESTIONS** **ALSO IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCED IN GWEN FORM PLEASE PM ME AS I ALSO HAVE QUESTIONS WITH THAT** Please not this is V0.0.0.1 of this system and it WILL change. Here is a video preview! **PLEASE NOTE FRAME DROP IS FROM MY COMPUTER, NOT THE PLUGIN**
  3. I know the biggest reason my insurance is so high is because I use a smaller company for the customer service and I have collision and a ton of other crap, plus being 21 makes it higher. With my new car, I actually get 55% off my policy (the total is ~$2400) because of the safety, security, and low mileage bonuses. Haha I can't wait until my insurance drops in about two years; I can't stand paying so much- low mileage, no infractions at all, no accidents, nothing and I still pay a ridiculous amount.
  4. Wow... I pay ~$1200 on my brand new 2016 Legacy and I thought I was getting ripped off...
  5. Hi guys! I want to pull a specific ped from an array (like detect nearby cops or specific peds [like a s_m_y_cop_01]) but I'm not sure how to do that using rage or natives. Any ideas/help? Specifically, I'd like to include them so I can use them in my code later (like take a nearby cop and force him to do what I want). Thanks! Edit: Note the array I'm talking about is "Ped[] GetNearbyPeds()"
  6. I had the last part of the playanimation() be something.StayInEndFrame (blanking on the actual part, but it's the last thing in the task) That seemed to work well!
  7. Tom Brady!! #GOAT
  8. I remember one day I was searching for a cop/emergency game that was realistic and this is the video I found (the link at the bottom). After watching some of Jeff's videos, I purchased GTA IV for the PC and the rest, well, led to where I am today! Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos, Jeff! What makes you different is that you truly enjoy what you do - your videos accurately reflect your feelings towards the game, and that is why many of us enjoy watching your content! I hope the next time we see you featured you're at a million subscribers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6wZgUSFGWg&list=PLo5whi14bKmjCc8M8BH-B-Ha3iBc3JNdy&index=65
This model is a must have for those wanting their policing experience to be modern. The amount of extras you find on this model really show the care and dedication the author put into it. The interior is probably a 3/5, but that's to be expected - I'm sure modeling an interior would take literal days to do. Thank you for your time and dedication to bringing us new, high quality models. I can assure you that they will be enjoyed by many! I do hope that you release an unlocked version at some point, just so others can share their car ideas with the community, but of course it's your call. I will love the model regardless!
  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY @Lundy!!! I bet this was done just for you!!
  10. You will be all set with a 750ti, as long as it's from a brand like EVGA or gigabyte and has it's own cooler (like the one I linked). You'll have no issues playing GTAV - it won't be ultra, but it'll look good!
  11. Oh yes! I can't wait to have 3 lightbars on one car!!! Great job! I LOVE the extras!
  12. I have an FX-8320. I'm using this card, not that little one. I regret not getting one with an additional 6 or 8 pin power connector so I could boost it more, but I'll survive with those frames. I have a 1920 x 1080p monitor, most of my settings (except water quality and grass quality, and maybe shadows) are on very high. The game looks amazing! Here's a video to show you that I get about 40fps while recording (with some hiccups, but those were on me). EDIT: As for overclocking it - I've checked my thermals, and they're within a good range. I have good case flow, and I only upped my voltage +6mv, and am 100% stable in SkyDiver and OpenGL. EDIT #2: To be fair, this card is not the best card and I only bought it as a cheap upgrade from a 5xx series card. If you can afford a 960 or up, I'd 100% recommend those, even if it means saving up for an extra couple weeks. Personally I regret buying this card and not getting at least a 960.
  13. As someone with a 750ti, I overclocked it a bit (up to 1250mhz) and it runs at about 45-55fps on Very High settings. So you will be able to run GTAV no problem, most likely.
  14. Something professional. I don't care necessarily if it's based off a real department, if it's a mixture of many, or if it's not even based off any. I just want something professional and that looks like it would be on a cruiser.
  15. Hello! I'm curious to know if anyone who's a good skin maker (as in has a good content count and can make 2k/3k skins) would be willing to work with me to make custom skins for the newest callout pack I'm making. The callout pack is not public information as of right now but I'd really like to release the skins with the callouts to improve the experience (and of course you still "own" them so you can do what you want with it, haha). Please let me know if you're willing to by PMing me! Again I'm looking for someone with a GOOD content count (at least 75, but preferably higher) and someone who will not share the information about the callouts. I want them to be a surprise when they're released. I am a firm believer that everyone needs to start somewhere, but I want these skins to be high quality, not someone's first or second skins. Thank you!
  16. Personally I just time the audio myself using all the pieces and make a new GameFiber that sleeps for that amount of time. It's a bit annoying to do, but if you need to do that then that's the only option I know of (until it's added to the API)!
  17. The scanner only plays the first audio it gets to, unless it's finished by the time the next audio is set to play. For instance, if you had this: Functions.PlayScannerAudioUsingPosition("STUFF"); /// SOME CODE /// Functions.PlayScannerAudioUsingPosition("NEXT STUFF"); If the /// SOME CODE // doesn't take the length of time that "STUFF" would take (let's say 10 seconds) to play then the "NEXT STUFF" wouldn't play. However, if the first takes enough time (as in the /// SOME CODE /// takes 15 seconds to run, 5 seconds over the length of "STUFF") then the second will play.
  18. Is this an issue solely with the Officer Shot callout, or is this for your own script? As for playing the audio - I don't see why you couldn't play the scanner during OnBeforeCalloutsDisplayed(). I haven't tried that before though!
  19. So, I haven't gotten a way to force the player into a position (like pull them to the correct side of the cop), but I did get all the animations to work!!!!! I wanted to set an arrow to appear (or some sort of marker) on the correct side of the ped on the screen (not the minimap - like I want them to walk into the marker). I thought it would have been NativeFunction.CallByName<uint>("SET_BLIP_SHOW_CONE", CPRBlip, true); but that doesn't work (or maybe I'm using it wrong?) In addition, my cop keeps dying after he plays the animation for CPR success. Any idea why? I don't kill him anywhere except for when he dies after the failure CPR animation, and I actually try to force him to have a certain health Any idea why? Is that amount of health a correct amount? Here's the code:
  20. Yes, sorry, I should have been clearer. Further on in my code I have the remaining animations, but it keeps being hung up at that specific point. When I go to do "pumpchest" it freezes my character. I haven't looked into it for a couple days, but the biggest thing is lining up the peds and getting the cop to be on his back. Thank you!
