NO, It is not.  It is people rushing to install things and making sure all the mods they have can run it.  Stop making accusations like this.  I am not your "everybody" and all his mods work for me.

Looks like some people fail to remember that GTA V is a game and not a simulation of real life.  One of them is even getting angry at how a Highway Patrol unit that was in traffic joins in his pursuit without being called in, despite the fact that to have a Highway Patrol SUV in traffic you have to actually mod your game to put it there.  If you don't want cops in traffic joining in, don't mod your game to have cops in traffic!
The pursuit AI for chasing suspects in vehicles uses the same underlying GTA V AI that it has since the first version of LSPDFR - this isn't likely to ever change.  I have experimented with many, many different ways of doing it and what we have is honestly the best approach I've found so far.  The only problem with the current system is that other officers don't recognise the player as being part of their pursuits.  There's currently nothing that we can do to change this.  The key thing is that our current system delivers competitive police AI that can actually keep up with suspects.  Go ahead and compare to GTA IV...
The pursuit AI in 0.3 can't be "any worse", as it hasn't changed at its core.  The main changes have been additional features that we've added, and these have only made it better.  It's fine to nitpick all the things that happen that you don't like, but at the same time people really need to remember that this is a heavily locked down game, with zero documentation as to how things work.  We have to figure that out all by ourselves, and that has taken thousands of hours to do.
It sometimes amazes me the lack of respect that people can have for what we do, and the massive improvements that we've made since the first release of LSPDFR.

I'm sorry you feel that way about the mod.
I can only explain the issue of the traffic disappearing on a traffic stop as Sam had pointed it out yesterday in another thread, 0.3 attempts to manage traffic during two scenarios.
Pursuits - Traffic is low as naturally people would want to avoid any immediate area involving a police pursuit
Traffic Stops - 0.3 attempts to manage traffic so that it doesn't slam into you or ruin your stop, apparently it does this too well as pointed out by Sam.
As for the AI shooting suspects, I personally haven't had this happen yet, not on this version at least. Could it possibly be an external script affecting the behaviour of the AI?
As for the patroling units joining, there is a 3rd party mod that disables this so the only cars involved in a chase are the ones you call - this is temporary until LMS or someone adds a toggle to the .ini file in the future

EDIT: Another mod has just this minute been released that forces AI Cops to stay behind you and not ram you out of the way

However, LSPDFR is one of the most outright fantastic mods out there for V, the only other I can think of from the top of my head that matches this level of complexity and detail is the Watchdogs mod that brings over the UI, Hacking Features and Sounds from watchdogs

mj2020 reacted to RadGamma in security gaurd callouts?
Well as someone who undertakes law enforcement work out in the real world (sad I know, I love LSPDFR and yet I enjoy playing it in my down time...) the calls aren't centered around what I would consider 'real world' encounters, bar perhaps the mundane traffic stops.
In an average week I'll deal with:
Persons suffering with Mental Health Issues. (Self Harm, Threats of Suicide, Suicide Attempts, Erratic Behaviour etc.) Disturbance/Public Order issues. (Domestic Incidents, Persons being threatened/abused, Fist Fights etc.) Theft. (Lots of theft... Ranging from Shop theft, theft of personal property, theft from plant/industry etc.) Criminal Damage (Criminal Damage to persons property) Trespass/Burglaries (Suspicious persons seen in closed works/industry) Vagrancy/Begging (I think you yanks call this 'pan-handling') Burglar Alarm Activated (Classed as suspicious activity) Missing/Vulnerable Persons (LOTS of missing/vulnerable persons - end up running them home or to places of safety.) These crimes aren't represented in the game, Burglary would be a fantastic one as an  example, attend a scene, speak to a witness who provides a suspect description, search a specified area for suspect, suspect located commence stop/search and arrest said suspect.

After what has to have been the most chaotic night in the history of LCPDFR/LSPDFR, I'm happy to announce that the third public release of LSPDFR, LSPD First Response 0.3, is now available for download.  LSPDFR 0.3 brings with it many exciting changes and features, including some amazing developments we've made with the Downtown Police Station, beautifully seamless arresting animation sequences, and a whole range of general improvements across the board.
On a similar note, we hope that you enjoyed the livestream provided on our new Twitch channel at http://www.twitch.tv/g17media.  We appreciate that there were some teething issues with this over the night, but we also hope that you can appreciate the amount of work that goes into putting together not only something like that, but also preparing the modification for release at the same time!  (If you'd like some quantification of that, every member of the management team here has dedicated the entirety of their days today to LSPDFR - seriously, we've barely even eaten!)
I'd also like to say a massive thank you to @JFavignano and @Stevetrackboyz for being a part of the action tonight.  Indeed, I hope that everyone else will join me in showing their appreciation - you guys were absolutely fantastic!
We highly recommend that you take a look at the LSPDFR 0.3 Feature Guide, located here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/lspdfr/features.  This guide highlights some of the new features available in greater detail, and also provides more complete release notes (which are massive).

mj2020 reacted to rushlink in WIP - speed radar (realistic)
WIP - modeled from the Kustom Signal Eagle II radar system, this is a very popular radar system among law enforcement.

Initially I planned on not releasing this outside of my gaming community; however, I've had a few PM's asking for me to release an updated version of my IV speed radar.

This is more of a simulation than a 'script'. Modes will be represented accurately, and the operation will be as close to real life as possible. I've enhanced the algorithms from my last radar (v2 of the gta:IV radar - which was never released), and they're much much more efficient - you shouldn't notice any performance hit when using this, as some guys in my community using the current radar do. There will be no visual indication on the vehicle if you target them, or lock their speed (just like in real life).
This is nothing like the existing radars which draw a circle in the road and only capture the speed of vehicles who drive through it. This is an example of the capture area:

In reality, the capture area would extend much further from the patrol vehicle (default 100m)
    To Do:
-GUI (needs touching up, alignments, etc.)
-Take one more final look at the capture algorithm - its still a bit slow, and there's no harm in taking a few days to go over it again.
    -Mode switching
    -Fastest mode
    -Keys/Settings file

This will be released before December on scripthook v dot net.

    I'm glad you like it.
Forgot to mention in the original post, but the settings are all customisable. The number of units that respond is randomly generated. By default, there's a minimum of 3 normal units will respond and a maximum of 8. Between 0 and 2 swat units will respond also.

This is the third part of our LSPDFR 0.3 preview series.  For more information about the background behind 0.3, check out the second installment in this series here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/55363-lspdfr-03-backup-customization
Perhaps one of the hottest talking points about LSPDFR, even way before the modification was released, was the question of if and how LSPDFR would make use of the new police station interior in Downtown Los Santos.  Indeed, while we attempted to incorporate the interior into the earliest versions of the mod - we were only really scratching the surface as to the potential it holds.  Back then, there was also no way of unlocking the expanded version of the interior featuring the locker room, briefing room and downstairs areas, which always acted as a further limit to any plans we had for it.

The exciting news is that with LSPDFR 0.3, the entire interior is unlocked and open for exploration, and this is where the fun really begins.  We've made a big effort to make the station come alive, much like we did the lawyers office in LCPDFR, but on a much larger scale.  Now, while to go into great detail about all of the new scenes and scenarios in the station would be telling, you can take a look at a couple of the screenshots provided to get a mere taste of the sights and sounds of the Downtown Police Station.

The cool stuff we've put in with the Downtown Police Station doesn't end there, though.  To allow for maximum immersion, you can now actually walk into the locker room and directly go on duty from inside, without any loading screens.  By simply approaching the lockers and hitting a key, the camera will seamlessly transition to give a view of the player, with the familiar character selection menu appearing shortly after.
Continuing with this theme, LSPDFR 0.3 also introduces a great deal of new functionality for dealing with arrested perps.  We'll cover most of this in the next installment of this series, but for now be safe in the knowledge that 0.3 lets you actually walk inside and drop-off your prisoners directly inside the cells.  Plus, for those of you looking for the authentic southern Californian law enforcement experience, you can quite literally throw your prisoners down the stairs on the way there!

Of course, on the topic of arresting people, there's so much more that we could show you, but that'd maybe be a little too much awesomeness to take in for one day.  Instead, stay tuned for the next part of this update series - you won't want to miss it!
