I believe this is on the list of things to work on, but I don't have a timeframe.

Banned for using mods!
You won't be banned for single player mods, that was directly stated by Rockstar on their Newswire. Mods in Online can and frequently will get you banned.

Shoutbox
We had a shoutbox years ago, and it was almost impossible to moderate as the site grew. With over 167,000 members, there's no way we could keep the shoutbox running smoothly. We do however have a profile status block on the forum page where recent statuses will show. If a question is asked there people can see it.

Community Team and Staffing Announcement (22 May, 2015)
Alright, we'll just stop developing a brand new modification with far more potential so that an outdated and soon to be obsolete mod can get updated.

LSPDFR Announcement + Preview
It should be noted that just because Native Trainer does something, it doesn't mean we'll do it the same way. LSPDFR isn't tied to Native Trainer.

Community Team and Staffing Announcement (22 May, 2015)
While we certainly appreciate and understand the enthusiasm that still exists for LCPDFR, chances are slim that we will continue developing it. The eyes of the entire community are firmly focused on GTA V and LSPDFR, and we simply don't have time anymore to continue working on LCPDFR. I can't predict the future, but please understand that chances are good we'll be working on LSPDFR for quite some time to come.

Community Team and Staffing Announcement (22 May, 2015)
Hello all, As I'm sure many have noticed, we've had a few more changes in the Community Team recently. With the site continuing to evolve with GTA V and the onset of LSPDFR, we found it necessary to take a step back and examine everything from a high-level perspective. To start with the good news, two of our moderators have returned from retirement! @c13 has completed military training and is now back on the team as a Community Moderator. While he is still stationed at an army base, his schedule allows him to return and we are all extremely excited to have him back. In addition, @Original Light has also returned! Retiring a little while ago for personal reasons, OL is very much back and is again a part of the Community Team as a Community Moderator. I hope everyone will join me in welcoming them back to the team! In more solemn news, we also have a couple retirements. As previously mentioned, we have retired the Dutch forum. As the sole Dutch Forum Moderator, @SuperStumpje has retired from the Community Team as his forum is no longer around. Since none of us can speak Dutch, his help was essential to properly maintaining that forum and we wish him the best. In terms of advisors, @Sgt.Kanyo has retired as a Community Team Advisor. He joined the team a long time ago, during a time where modding tensions were extremely tense and his help was immeasurable during that period. In a bittersweet shift through time, tensions have died down incredibly and unfortunately that also means that the amount of work available for Kanyo has faded as well. He will continue to be ever present in the modding forums, and also working on his famous IV handling lines. In terms of the community as a whole, we have some exciting things planned in the future to continue to expand the options available to our members. One such aspect is a modding news system, where we can provide updates for LSPDFR and also provide news stories right from our very own members. For now we will be having our very own @penguin2254 in the Community Team working on news stories. The actual staffing position may vary over time, as the idea is new and we need to ensure a proper fit. I won't go into detail now for the rest of the things we have planned as it is too early, but we do indeed have some very fun things planned and we hope to shed light on them over the next few months. To address the elephant in the room, LSPDFR is still coming along very nicely and as always we will work to bring you a usable mod as soon as we can. The best I can say is that it will be released "soon," although everyone will undoubtedly have a different opinion of what soon means. Please continue to check the LSPDFR Updates and Information forum for updates. Iconography.

20 May - 9 New Screenshots!
You're damn right it is. But yes, that image could just be a testing image detailing different possibilities in the future, or just a proof of concept (I genuinely don't know the exact nature). It's good to remember that anything you see could change between now and whenever the first release is, and you should assume they're all demonstrations of work still in progress.

Umm... Guys.... I don't speak French.
I'm not sure what's causing this (for some of us it defaults to German), but you should be able to change your settings here on the footer:

Move installation?
What I normally do is use a directory junction to move my files/games around without breaking everything. You can't use normal shortcuts because they simply won't work most of the time. The typical format in command prompt is: mklink /J Link Targetwhere Link and Target refer to the link location and the physical data location, respectively. This allows you to move all of your data and then the game (and OS) acts just like nothing happened. I've heard Steam can sometimes support moving installed games around but have only ever found a way to change locations before installation.

This thread is 2 years old, please don't bump dead threads like this. This initiative is likely no longer being worked on anymore. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.

Rockstars saying about mods in Singleplayer.
Generally speaking they're implying (although they didn't outright state) that any and all modifications to GTA Online, no matter how large or small, are able to get you banned. The FOV mod is more than likely included there. If they start tolerating some mods but not others, it will be difficult to draw the line. Safer to ban all GTA Online mods.

Rockstars saying about mods in Singleplayer.
Going to pin and feature to put this whole issue to rest once and for all. No you will not be banned for single player mods. If you feel that this topic has been pinned in error, please report this post.

Rockstar Officially Bans Modding... Entirely
Closing as there's already at least one thread on this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/topic/50251-apparently-rockstar-has-changed-their-eula-and-now-forbids-modding-as-a-bannable-offense-can-anyone-confirm It should be noted that almost all software EULAs have this exact phrase in them, and I'm fairly certain GTA IV did as well. It's standard practice. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.

Small screenshot contest!
Thanks to everyone who contributed! We've spent a few hours trying to pick our favourites and everyone did a great job. We have the winners picked and ready to announce! Please note that it is extremely late, so I'll update the staff notices tomorrow. @GT5abc with Topic Closed @Straysify for Topic Pinned @Ringo4493 for Topic Removal And Safe Handling system (an internal topic removal one) @Alex_Ashfold with Topic Unpinned @Illusionary with Topic Moved @Ringo4493 with the background for our Twitter banner @JWillMac51 with the background for our Facebook banner @Zenithar with our Twitter profile and tweet background Again, thank you to everyone who submitted entries! There were a lot of other great picks that we sadly couldn't fit in somewhere - but rest assured we'll try to do something like this again in a few months!

Small screenshot contest!
For the next few hours I'm just going to say screw it, you can submit any screenshot you've taken as long as it's something you'd deem good enough to be potentially used. I feel that rule was too much of a hindrance. Later in the day I'll close the thread and we'll make some choices. I must say, these are quite nice.
