  1. I do NOT blame the female trooper at all for drawing her weapon. Think about it. He was driving at an excess of 100 miles per hour without any lights or sirens. The female radio'd in the description and they did not notify her if he was on a call. If the Officer was in fact on his way to the call then he should've kept going while they initiated radio contact. The Trooper wasn't sure if the vehicle was stolen and later in the video she explained to him she had heard of a Police Vehicle being stolen and it ended up with shots fired. She did not know what was going to happen and she felt on safe at the time, because an Officer should not EVER be driving at an excess of 100 let alone 120 without lights or sirens. Though if you notice, she was guilty of this her self, and I think she should also receive a citation for reckless driving. She deactivated her lights and sirens as she was catching up to him. It took her 6 minutes or so to catch up to him, she initiated her spot light and directed it through the back window, those are very bright and should immediately attract attention. I've been in my house while an Officer was going around my neighborhood with his spot light on, I saw him down the road and across the street through woods. It isn't hard to see them and it isn't hard to see flashing lights. Especially if your trained to be aware of your surroundings. Patrol Cruisers are equipped with shotguns and may have a personal or second weapon in the front portion of the interior.. She had no idea if this was stolen or if he had a firearm. If you notice, she put her weapon away immediately after he was handcuffed. The Officer handled it well, he complied and respected her. The cuffs should have been taken off when he was verified to be an Officer. It is not impossible to get a realistic police uniform. He may have been impersonating one from the start..
  2. I'm going to try it... right now.. like a b0ss. EDIT: I'm no longer b0ss..Screamed like a b...

  4. I'm sorry, sir. I don't quite understand what you are implying? Are you asking for vehicle chases? If so, that is a completely random event. In order to initiate a 'traffic' stop whilst in a vehicle, press the LEFT Shift key and that'll initiate the traffic stop. They randomly flee.
  5. Hey Stig! That's completely fine, your English is very well actually! When you are chasing after a suspect you can pull out your tazer (Alt + T, if on RC2), and when you catch up to him you can aim at him and taze him, which will knock him to the ground, or you can aim at him and press the E Button. Typically it is wise to have a weapon either the bat (baton) or a pistol/tazer and aim at him, in case he is packing 'heat'. The suspects usually run randomly, I noticed most of the time they know when its over, so they stop shortly after you exit your vehicle with your weapon drawn.
  6. Since you are going for a general logo, I would suggest looking for something simple (This is also for the guys trying the logos). I wouldn't worry to much on detail, as long as the font looks well done and it doesn't blend in to the background. Another thing that would be ideal to be done with the logo is if it is done on a transparent background, this would allow for smooth usage on multiple sites. I'm sure I don't have to school on how logos should be made, but for those of you giving it a try, definitely go for something simple. If you can pull off gradients with the font, give it a try. Don't settle on just 'one', try to do about 2-3 versions and post them up for choosing, or choose between those three versions that you like best (but don't delete the others, as you may decide to touch one up!). /endsuggestion
  7. In my honest opinion it depends on what it will be used for. As a general logo it is indeed a little too flashy for my taste, but as an intro if done correctly it may look appropriately well. Just my .02 cents.
  8. Looks good. Can't wait to get my hands on these.
  9. That's completely fine that you didn't know it was a known bug. Don't let the responses about it being one make you feel down, it was more so just to make sure you knew now that it was in fact known. Wasn't trying to put you down at all. Hopefully it is fixed with RC3, but I do not know the technicalities behind why it does it, so it may be unfixable. Only time will tell in regards to that.. Not a problem, glad I could help.
  10. Try re-installing the LCPD:FR mod like Asuna has said above, if that does not work, do you have a modified the 'weapininfo.xml'? I believe this may be one of the factors to the Tazer not spawning correctly. I had a modified one in after I installed LCPD:FR and it wouldn't work, I put in the backup of the LCPD:FR version, and it worked fine.
  11. Hey guys, It is a known bug which was reported shortly after RC2 was released. Unfortunately, there is no actual documented and suggested work around to prevent it, buuuut, there is a way to get your pistol back. When you first go on duty, exit your vehicle and spawn your tazer (Alt+T), once you spawn your tazer (You may receive an error at first, but continue until you get it) switch to your fists (Shortkey of the number 1 button), walk to the rear of your vehicle and use 'E' to open your trunk, this will not only replenish your firearm but this will give you ammo for your shotgun. I suggest using the trunk until your pistol gets to about 200 rounds extra, once you do this, switch to your tazer, then back to your fists. It should no longer remove your pistol. Hope this helps, ~David
  12. Hey SC, Just wanted to let you know that at the time of your posting, the date is April 29, 2012. The last post was in November 3, 2011. That is quite a while and the thread was/is considered 'dead'. Unfortunately, in my opinion your response wasn't critical to the thread, so I believe the term is 'necrobumping'. Which is frowned upon in the community. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that, you should keep an eye on the date of the post, which can be found to the right of the username. ~David
  13. Is it just me or is the guy's grammar lacking on the Facebook page? "this is quality..." Doesn't sound like R*.
  14. Not quite sure, it is usually best to create a model with purpose, rather then to get a model and tweak it to the purpose. I think the most ideal version would be to look for a low poly version of a wheel, as the more polys the more laggy the game will be. I'd be cautious buying models and giving them out freely, as the purpose of the model being sold is so the creator can create revenue. If you purchased the model, imported it, locked it, etc then you could give the model out, but I'd be careful just handing it out to 'modelers'.
  15. Hey sir, Typically a 1 GB Graphic card would be able to chug along exceptionally, but there are a lot of factors to determine if that specific 1GB card will run GTA:IV. For example, my previous card was a GT220 1GB DDR2 from Nvidia with an Intel Core 1 Quad CPU Q6600 clocking @ 2.40 GHz. I could run GTA:IV with about 15 FPS on average. I have recently upgraded to an ATI Radeon 5770 1GB graphics card with the same CPU and I average 20-30 FPS. When dealing with a computer, the PSU isn't really a factor for your performance. As long as your Graphics Card, Processor, etc are within the requirement of your PSU. When dealing with PSUs it really depends on what the requirements of a card is. For example, my current Radeon ATI card requires a PSU of about 440, where as my previous one was an estimated of 300 or so. These aren't exact numbers, but it required me to update my PSU as well. I purchased a 650 Watt PSU and it has been working flawlessly, no surges no nothing, as long as you get a good manufacturer who is known for good PSUs you will be fine. Granted your case can hold it. If you can supply us with more information about a specific card you have as an idea, that'd be extremely helpful, a long with that could you supply us with your current PC Specifications? Thank you, David
  16. Hey guys, I'm training to become a Firefighter in hopes of joining my local FD, anyone else here either in or wanting to be? Any of you here drive and chase Trucks when they are rolled? Meaning do you listen to a scanner and go to the fire scenes and watch.. People do that, and it is legal I believe.
  17. Hmm.. Video and pics don't work.. I've seen this snooping around but never really thought about using it.
  18. For some reason I have a script error with "Playerinteraction" or something like that.. Is this the script itself or?
