If I want to reduce the frequency of traffic/world events, do I adjust the two settings numbers higher or lower (trafficeventstimeout and worldeventstimeout)?

 

BTW: Love the new PH, very nice work and have had no issues.  Love the new events and interface, especially the in-game help menu and settings menu.  The help menu has descriptions of world events, traffic events and how to handle them...should be very helpful for the rookie.  Thanks Abraxas!

Basically it's interval between tries to generate event, so higher number = longer wait between creating new event. Thanks for kind words, I really appreciate it, especially fter this weekend which was horrible. Huge amounts of scripting with crappy results and no fun at all :/

Quick question for you, Abraxas.  I currently have the road-flares installed and like them quite a bit, but I was curious as to whether or not it would be possible to have them glow bright red instead of the orange they glow now.  All road flares I've ever seen have a red color to them, see them at about 0:50 in the video below;

Flares were provided by Snper296. As far as I know there is no red fire effect (I was checking every fire and water effect). Maybe there is a way to edit one of effects but I have no idea how.

So far I think I found 2 bugs.

 

First: When I try hitting Alt+T for the Tazer, I get a unhandled exception error for LCPD:FR. It still draws the tazer after a couple times. Forgot to check the log in game to see if it said anything after it doing it. I'll update shortly on that. 

 

Second: I receive a "Error in CS.Engine.Core" after transporting a subject to station following a LCPD:FR world event (police randomly chasing subject).

I get the error after running across the red blip to get the subject to disappear.When I receive the error, all the red blips disappear and I must reload scripts.

 

On the second one, it's probably my fault for not turning off LCPD:FR world events.

I'm not sure if these errors are connected to the PoliceHelper. These might be just LCPD:FR bugs. I used tazer without any problem. Also peds in LCPD:FRs events are excluded by my event generator, so they shouldn't be bothered by my mod.

With the unhandled exception it could be the tazer as it happens to me, unfortunately i don't use it. If your using the dsound and scripthook that lcpdfr provide i wouldn't lol download the latest versions and try that :-) hope this helps you man :-)

Also i would create a folder on the desktop and install lcpdfr into there, then just move the files you want move :-)

Thanks for the quick update. I think these problems are related to BraveHeart's Policing Scripts actually. I must not of tested that script thoroughly before I installed yours. I usually try everything before I install another script so I know what bugs belong to what scripts.

Thanks for that input. I have not had a chance to learn about errors or scripting yet for GTA:IV.

 

I was not forced duty when the csharp error occured. After it happened, I reloaded scripts and forced duty but did not try it again (which I should of). The tazer might be BraveHeart's Policing Script error as well because I have not had a problem with it in the past versions or before I installed any scripts. I don't use it very often. 

 

I'm using the latest ScriptHook now that fixed my error that I listed previously. I did not know there was a updated dsound. I'll have to look for it.

That's cool buddy. I don't think there is a new dsound but when i used the one provided from lcpdfr other scripts would tend to get errors for some reason? I use bravehearts police script but not had any errors as of yet lol really hope you resolve your issue and can enjoy the amazing mods that's around :-)

If you have any other problems if you send me a private message with your email address i will send you the dsound and scripthook etc that i use and see if that resolves the issues your having :-)

Abraxas I found a bug in the world event two peds fighting when you ordered the two to surrender and they have accepted a third time by pressing the key "E" the two are on the run.

I had an idea that may or may not be plausible or worth the effort:

 

Paramedic airlift? Call a chopper, have it land at the scene of the accident and take persons in critical condition? Not the most vital of services.

 

You could use the Swift helicopter with multiple liveries to have a medevac. Perhaps it's been suggested in the 39 pages prior, but I figure I'd throw it out there.

It wasn't suggested, but I have to say no. The only reason is huge amount of time that I had to spend on making Skylift to work in tow script. What you see there is totally forced descending, not AI lowering altitude. Landing helicopter like that would be very difficult. Also helicopter would have to be turn off collisions to not create carnage chopping people heads, lamp post etc. Way too much work.
