Just 30 mins ago I got an update to my Rockstar Launcher (and social club launcher).

 

When I tried launching LSPDFR uh it didn't worked and instead of LSPDFR I got into normal GTA V

 

 

I didn't got any update from Steam but this update was from Social Club.

Launch the game normally as if you were attempting to play normal GTA V without LSPDFR. 

 

Once the game has launched, tab out and then launch Rage Plugin Hook. The RPH will hook into the game and you'll be able to play LSPDFR just as before. 

 

It's a bit of a pain, however you can still play LSPDFR/All your mods as normal just an extra step. 

And all is well with the world again. Thanks Jam, perfect workaround, much appreciated.

@JAM I tried that, but it doesn't work on my game, RPH says slow system or no permissions, but i'm always running it as an administrator and i don't have a bad setup.

Hey guys, Mine still isn't launching. tried all of these. I have 2 "Grand Theft Auto V" Folders. One for LSPDFR, and one copy for clean install. Should I launch from the copy? If I do there's nothing to hook in that one. If I launch from the LSPDFR folder it gives me a "FATAL: Unknown game version" message. 

 

Please help.

When you DL the new launcher, did you check to see which directory it would go into. Mine did an auto install to the C drive, my GTA for LSPDFR is on my D drive..... So I had to reinstall to D drive before it would work. I have two copies of GTA V installed on the same drive, but the clean copy is named GTA VCOPY. That way I can tell the difference between the two.

 

Make sure your LSPDFR GTA V is up to date, if not there will be a mismatch.  Do  a verify integrity and it should give you the chance to redownload the correct launcher after the game has been updated.

Didnt work for me. Gta 5 said lspdfr was keeping the game from loading and stoped lspdfr from loading

Check to make sure your time out in RPH settings is higher than 10,000. I had to move mine to 50,000 and then there was no errors for me

Open the rockstar launcher > click "Play on steam" button > open ragehook. 

Ive tried this back to back for about 10 mins and each time it has worked. And in fact, the "hook" is faster now.

Also helpful is to pin ragehook to your taskbar, so you dont have to double-click the shortcut.

 

After you clicked the "play on steam" button it will change to "loading" and thats when you open ragehook. No need to wait for game to load and tab out.

Setting the plugin timeout in RPH settings to 50,000 is what worked for me. Also, not allowing plugins to load on startup and loading them once in game. Everything works as it should.

Tabbing out and starting hook seems to get the RPH to say "enjoy" then the game freezes, then CTDs.

Try running GTA through the launcher and immediately after, run RPH (like less than 1 second after). So RPH is running even before the game window launches. It should initiate its "hooking" of the game as the game window comes up and goes to full screen.

Something else to try, which works for me.  GTA will start up and load into the screen where you choose to play online or singleplayer.  Immediately after clicking singleplayer, launch Rage.

yeah  that works for me also now

yea i got it and it's working 😄 can anyone help me with pilot peds for fivem?

Well GTAV just got an update and now all mods are broken because SHV now needs to be updated + there is no way to bypass the new launcher, I tried all the mods for that and none of them work.

Yeah, Ragehook updated, now screaming for scripthook to update. Will probably have to wait before trying again.

Yeah. I think I've narrowed down that script hook is the reason I'm not able to hook at the moment. Once that's updated ill probably troubleshoot more
