A humble audio project.

I'm really liking what some of the developers are coming with. I don't know a single thing about coding other than I can't do it. However, I do know a tinly bit of something about editing audio. Having said that I decided to work on an audio resource for mod developers to use. To give you an idea of what I'm going for I'll include a couple of links that you can listen to. What my goals are is to have audio made that developers can use to make and improve their various mods.

Hello again @Sam   So problem, 10 codes aren't universal. Do you think I should use LAPDs 10 codes since LSPD is based off them? 10-95 for the Agency in my town is "Officer Needs Assistance"

Provided things go well the update tomorrow I plan on doing a story campaign. Give the officer character a name and hopefully present a good story from the perspective a cop in Los Santos.

This sounds interesting, but your links are broken?

Thank you for your interest in this project. I look forward to knowing your thoughts and if there some audio that can be done. Depending on the success of this project and it's usefulness as a resource, I'd like to include more voices for officers, suspects, and citizens. But in the end just clean audio that can hopefully be used.

10-95 according to a chart I'm looking at means "Prisoner/Subject in custody"

Also I'm going to update the dispatcher and I'm getting in touch with a friend that does sound effects. That way the dispatcher will do something like this "1-Lincoln-18 we have a 10-31 in *keyboard typing* Strawberry"

For the dispatcher I'm going to get as much of the actual codes as I can get done. So someday when LSPDFR reaches that point you're going to have all the audio for the call outs you'll need.

I'm getting some more voice actors and actresses and I expect to get going on this soon.

Getting recording done. For now it will be simple things to establish a foundation to see how things need to be set up.

However the Male Cop will have all of the Cop Alphabet A-Z, Numbers, Efforts, and some generic statements done.

Okay got locations, car models 90%, colors, police alphabet and numbers recorded. I'm also getting more people interested in recording as well.

Okay dispatcher files complete did about 790+ files. Problem is this. While they sound great they're distorted and amplified in game. I'm looking into how to fix this.

Edit: and I'm open to suggestions on how to fix the problem too 🙂

So what's this dispatcher files for?

They replace the vanilla dispatcher and change some aspects so instead of hearing a bunch of uhhh's you'll have a mix between those and hearing background keyboard typing.

There's audio for auto collision calls, air support calls (complete with mission success or mission failed dialogue), have audio for fire calls (i.e citizens report large amounts of smoke) and new calls can be created as we go along.

But all that depends on the problem getting solved which I'm researching...hopefully I'll have more good news.

Oh and I have a nice group of voice actors for police officer voices.

Perhaps posting one sample clip and how it sounds in-game could help so we get a better idea of what sounds off.

Looks like the fix is working. It was an encoding issue. So all of the vanilla LSPDFR callouts are done. We're going to knock out the callouts and audio for Assorted Callouts and Traffic Policer. Plugin authors are more than welcome to the resource files too to make new callouts that will cover traffic accidents, reports of fire, and air support missions. From transporting VIPs, to providing over watch, to transporting a SWAT team.

Is there a ink/repo somewhere to have a look at the audio?

So this is how it is with only the CRIMES folder before any of the extras or other replacements. He has mostly everything done from what we have talked about he is just uploading it so I can test it all in game. The issue with the extremely loud volume in game just had to do with a how he was exporting it but after talking and testing many different exports we got the sweetspot.
