Okay, before anyone tells me to look into other forums I already have this is why I'm making this. I had everything right and at the last minute a error popped up saying the installation failed. I did research and a thread said to uncheck a read-only thing. I went into the properties and there was a read-only but it wasn't checked. I looked everywhere for a problem now, I finally got a solution to the Run Admin but "Windows cannot access the specified path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access this item" is the only thing that is stopping me!!! What can I do?!?! I really want this game!!!

God can someone just fucking help?

Mulder, do not hijack topics. If you've got a problem(s), please make your own topic about them in the correct section, do not draw attention away from the OP. I've hid your post from the public.

Is this a domestic computer? Or connected to a domain? Just seems a little weird that the username would be "Customer"

I used the customer at first but then I read on and it said Run As Admin so I did that but when I do run as admin it says

Windows cannot access the specified path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access this item

That's the only thing stopping me really....HelpAlso, there is no read only checked so I don't have that problem, I've tried to enable the Admin account but I can't..I think the only problem is the admin so I need someone to help me, it looks like a really cool game and I want it!! Thank you so much.If it helps I have a Windows XP

Another question. Do you need GTA IV for this game?

I'm sorry I really don't know much about these forums I've only joined under a week ago :S

Yes you need GTA IV lol.

Could that be the problem?

I don't know much about video games with computers

Yes, it's very much a problem. You need GTA IV to play, since it is a "add-on" for it. Without GTA IV, you can't use LCPDFR.

The error you are getting is something on your computer forbidding access to our installer.

This is beyond the scope of this forum, but is probably caused by:

  • Antivirus, mistaking the installer for a virus and not running it.
  • A virus on your computer, forbidding access to our installer.

Additionally, if you don't have GTA IV, there's not much this installer would do, as LCPDFR is an add-on for the GTA:IV or GTA:EFLC games.

A store.

Well I do have a antivirius thing on my computer so should I turn it off & try to install it when I get the game?

There's still retailers that sell it in stores, and I don't know what you mean by a 'regular' version.

Smartass... Well maybe you should be thankful that he is trying to help you. He was giving you a simple answer and in my view you look like you are a bit ''after''. You didn't even know that you needed GTA IV and you didn't know if you should buy it for PC or console. You asked where it was available to buy and Tom answered .

So you might wanna be a bit more thankfull next time.

i seriously just fell out of my chair laughing! How about you actually read on the website where it states that a requirement is that you own GTA IV to use the mod before you call someone a smart ass for trying to help you. Seems like your not very bright.
