Great, thanks for the update :)

I just can't stop beating the F5 button since this morning.

Right? And now Sam is saying there may be some sort of release of a new LCPDFR of some sort...and of all days. Hell.

An April Fools con?

What else did I have to do aside from the VIncent update? People were after some Vapid Cruiser updates if I remember rightly..

Well, that Landstalker "flashpoint" could be a cool FBI car replacement. BOVRILwares and I have been working on a Contender 4 door however, maybe you and him should team up to make something interesting there, just a thought.

You rock sir :)

thanks to you (except NOoSE cars, but I'll watch your future models closely).

I have a full NOOSE replacement pack I made featuring all non-els cars and a new annihilator, check it out.

Yeah I've seen your files, I also use your Washington Taxi sometimes ^^

Liveries are not a problem, I make them myself, I'm just looking for impressive, surprising, stock cars, like Ekalb' ones.

If one day Ekalb make a speed unit (sport car or supercar) and an heavy (big suv or 4x4) unit for NOoSE, I'm pretty sure that I'll use those ones.

Yep, I'm an Ekalb fanboy I guess.

Yes, please. You mentioned changing the mapping on the brake lights/indicators so they were separate from each other. Also, since Caine's Vector cruiser lacks a mapped traffic adviser, it'd be great if you made an updated version of that, also.

Now, I know you're taking up some EVCS work, and if you plan on making some EVCS optimized versions of your vehicles, I've got a few suggestions.

  • Multiple Rambar and antenna options to choose from.
  • ALPR setup.
  • Radar and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • If EVCS ever has the capability to change patterns based on extras, multiple light bars.
  • Color-neutral lightbars (if at all possible) to let users completely control light setup.

I'm not sure what kind of extra limit you run into, but any combination of those that provide options for each would be great.

Ooo that's cool. Extra 1/2/3 could be different rambars, extra 4/5/6 could be different technology setups and 7/8/9 could be different lighting arrangements, being fully customisable with EVCS.

Only downside there is that adding all those objects adds polys and increases the filesize, and I don't think EVCS has the ability to control all the extras at this stage, nor attach lights to certain extras.

Might do some more work on the vapid tonight.

Unfortunately, it's just not possible to have switchable lightbars due to the restriction on the amount of dummies a car can have.

But I was chatting to Grady about EVCS and he wants to try and get it so his mod lights can be tied to extras, and will only flash if those extras are active.

So I'm looking at a fully customisable car, where the base is just like a civilian vapid cruiser and then you can use EVCS to add the police equipment you want, and change the livery to the type of policing you want to do.

If you mean the default system of lights, yes, but a script wouldn't be limited by that, right?

I'm working on a couple of vehicles to make use of the EVCS beta. This one is the vapid and currently you can control the pushbar and the lightbar, so you can have three different types of police car (general patrol, highway patrol and unmarked) all in the one slot, and switch things up to your liking using the EVCS mod.

I'm also testing a tow-truck using the mod so you can have an amber lightbar, seperately controlled amber lights on the tray, and the ability to deploy/retract a ramp and to put up or put down barriers around the tray.

Obviously as EVCS progresses, giving us more control over the vehicle, I can expand these concepts further.
