Any North American players here? I play whenever I don't have work obligations or whenever I'm not in the mood for LCPD:FR. I also have a 32-man Conquest server with Karkand and Close Quarters maps installed, and a 32-man Mumble to go with it. I run a clan called |.red cell.|. All of that junk aside, how does everyone like it? I think it's the best shooter I've played in a long time. I have Modern Warfare 3, but I far prefer this. It's more diverse, doesn't really let you be a one man army, and the latest expansion has a Call of Duty feel to it since the maps are small and there are no vehicles available to use.

Srsly: I love this game. And I can get 10+ paratroopers here I know that would say the same thing. No one plays ModWar here.

This game started dissapointing me since, in one update, they removed precision and power from machine guns and made the damn pistols the most overpowered weapons of the game. Now I play just in hardcore cause I can't stand spending 40 bullets at 3 meters with my m240 or m60 and instead of killing the enemy I'm shooting at since half hour ago, getting killed by a guy that just appeared with a pistol or a smg in two seconds, something is probably one of the most frustrating thing of the game...

I think it's the best shooter I've played. I just got it, and the missions and sounds and stuff like that are more diverse than CoD. They sound better, there is better action, more vehicles to drive, better crawling, cover, smarter AI, easier chances to die/get shot, it's all funner than CoD. Of course, I haven't played Arma II yet...

You can't compare BF3 and CoD, CoD is run and gun, while BF3 takes a more realistic approach, focusing on tactics and teamwork (of course in everything but the Close Quarters DLC, that's there just to compete with CoD). And now our ArmA II players are gonna come here and hate me because I used realistic in the same sentence with BF3, yes, obviously not as realism oriented as ArmA II, yet much more realistic than CoD's approach to a war game.

Well, first time I saw a MW3 gameplay, was a singleplayer mission, something about a landing in a beach, I instantly knew who ruled between BF3 and MW3; while in BF3 soldiers make awesome realistical movements, the way they walk, shoot and cover, (and don't speak about the graphic comparison) in combat and out of combat, in MW3 the soldiers just runned throught the beach, in the range of the enemy, where all the shots where going, like saying "kill me"...

Well, now I remember it was not the first gameplay I saw, the first was the demostration, where two or three soldiers killed whole russian submarine crew and blew it up, just seeing in the New York bay (I don't know how's really called) surrounded of hundred sunk destroyers, cruisers, aircraft carriers! You say, who's so stupid to enter with a 200 meter long ship that can fire from 200 km away to the New York area bay, where you can be shot everywhere, that's a suizide for a ship! In that moment I started thinking if the CoD developers wouldn't carry too away their typical exageration to a stupid and unbelieve extreme.

But anyway, is a a matter of taste, some likemore realistic things and other prefer the things where you kill 4000 spetsnaz.

lol. I finished all the CoD games. All of them suck compared to BF3. In BF3, the missions are much longer and more challenging, and if your shot it is like you're actually shot, whereas in CoD, you can get shot 50 times and still live.

What I also like is that weapons can be switched between Automatic and Semi-auto.

I found the BF3 campaign to be way too short.

I love this game.

i have it too but to be honest i didn't played it for 6 Weeks or something.

Maybe i will play it again soon but right know i'm not into it xD

I'm looking forward to the next DLC, Armored Kill; biggest BF map, AC-130, Mobile Artillery, new tanks... I'd like them to have released it now instead of Close Quarters.

In close quarters are smaller maps, so I guess you can make a match in about 15 minutes, Armored Kill will have bigger maps, with longer matches, and in that time I'll have to go school, so less time to play:(

"End Game" should help out with the single player campaign. That's the focus of the final DLC pack next year. And as far as ARMA goes, I'll just say this; BF3 is realistic just as much as ARMA is a game. It is literally based off of an actual US Military combat simulator, and is packaged as a game. I don't consider it a video game at all. Battlefield 3 is a game that's packaged as a realistic combat experience. It's no substitute. I'll leave it at that.
