[WIP] [Immersion] Officer Status Menu

Featured Replies

Hello!

I am making this post to announce the development of my first plugin, which is basically just a menu that is meant to add immersion to the LSPDFR experience.

Do you feel like you are not talking to dispatch as much as a real cop would? Do you wish that you could report to dispatch your current status, as well as inform them of various things?

Then this plugin is for you. It does not add much in terms of features, as most of the functions are purely aesthetic and are just there for immersion.

All options when selected generate a verbal response from dispatch and play the radio animation.

Pictures (click)

Current Features: (features with actual functions are detailed in parenthesis)

  • Traffic Stop
    • Tell dispatch you are on a traffic stop. Inform them of occupancy, whether its a felony stop, and if you require assistance (regular stop backup is one unit, felony is two units).
  • "Show Me..."
    • Current Options:
      • En Route (Does NOT accept callout as of now)
      • On Scene
      • In Foot Pursuit
      • In Vehicle Pursuit
      • Code 4 (Ends current callout if active, aesthetic dispatch response if not)
  • Suspect Description
    • Give dispatch description of suspect such as gender, race, and build.
  • Vehicle Description
    • Give dispatch description of suspect's vehicle type and color.
  • "Suspect is..."
    • Tell dispatch whether suspect is in custody or deceased.
  • Shots Fired
    • Tells dispatch that shots have been fired at your location (Generates three Code 3 backup units too you)

Plugin in its current state is 100% functional but still buggy as this is my first time working with GTA modding. Currently depends on LSPDFR, RageHook, ScriptHookV, and RageNativeUI.

I wish to know how much interest in this there would be, please let me know. I may be looking for beta testers if there is enough interest.

I am open to all feedback and suggestions on this, such as things to add, remove, or rework.

Thank you!

I like it. Obviously this with Vocal Dispacth would be perfect but since voice recognition is so far off rn, I can see this work. Definetely a plugin I would download

Yeah I really liked the concept/functionality of Vocal Dispatch but I would have to repeat myself multiple times to get it to work. That is where a lot of the inspiration of this script came from. I think it would be a good replacement for those without quality microphones, people who can't get their voice recognized easy, or people who simply do not wish to speak out loud while playing

I'm big on roleplay, and this is PERFECT.  Nice that we finally have a tool to tell dispatch what we're doing and such.  If I may make a suggestion for the future, there are times where we go unavailable and take a little lunch break, or just take a cat nap in the car (don't tell sarge!).  Would be nice if we had the option to set it as "Show me at lunch" or just something along those lines that says we are unavailable, but not due to a call or traffic stop.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Nice! this is something I am sure people will love especially because it adds more realism. Please excuse my ignorance as I do not know how things like this work, When you tell dispatch shots have been fired, will/can it use "custom backup" from the Custom Backup mod?

Read the Readme's and mod pages, don't be stupid.

Right now it uses the vanilla LSPDFR backup call, so I am not sure if Custom Backup overrides this function or not. I might need to implement the Custom Backup API, which would add another dependency to the script however

UPDATE:

Here is a list of planned features and bugs that need to be fixed, will probably be done with most of them by the end of the weekend.

Plan to add:

  • Suspect crashed vehicle in pursuit
  • Suspect in transport
  • Unavailable for calls

Bugs:

  • Error is thrown in "ForceDuty" when unloading LSPDFR in console, probably due to improper closing of threads. If anyone has ideas on how to fix this it would be appreciated.
  • Cannot get "Alt" modifier key to work, all other modifier keys do however.
  • If you "ForceDuty" before changing ped to EUP model, the menu will crash. Easy fix I believe.
  • The "busy" functionality does not work and you will still receive callouts during traffic stop/pursuit. I believe I have found a fix for this as well.

Still looking for people to test, just message me!

UPDATE:

Looking for more people to test for me! Currently only have 1 tester. Just message me to get the file!

Added:

  • Suspect in transport
  • Suspect has crashed vehicle

Fixed:

  • Crash when using ForceDuty before switching to EUP uniform
  • I believe I have fixed the busy functionality as well, need more game time to confirm

Current Bugs:

  • Error is thrown in "ForceDuty" when unloading LSPDFR in console, probably due to improper closing of threads. If anyone has ideas on how to fix this it would be appreciated.
  • Cannot get "Alt" modifier key to work, all other modifier keys do however.
  • Reported bug where pressing "Shots Fired" on a callout causes crash. Could not reproduce this in my game, need further testers

UPDATE:

I have added a radio tone that plays every time you radio dispatch. I believe that the plugin is almost ready for its first release. The only thing I really plan to add at this time is an option to say you have the suspect in sight.

Thank you to all who have helped me test this plugin!

No set release date yet but I would say probably within the next week and a half to two weeks, just need to get some things polished up. Scorponok is making me a video right now to showcase the functions which will be posted here soon!

Added:

  • Suspect in sight

Fixed:

  • Typos
  • Car definitions
  • Added "Silver" to car color menu

Might add:

  • Update location to dispatch (if I can figure out how to get street name that player is on without adding more dependencies)

Hype!

Would love to Beta test if you need more help. Looks really great.

Would it also be possible to add key commands to specific calls. Say a suspect crashes during a pursuit or you start a foot purusit, you dont want to waste seconds digging thru  a menu to select something when a simple button press or combo could activate it.

Just a suggestion

Nothing is impossible The impossible just takes longer.
