NextGen Project: New York State Police

About:

It's what I'm famous for. Those who were around for GTA IV modding know about my famous New York State Police pack.  It was never uploaded on FR, but it was extremely popular among New York enthusiasts and emergency vehicle aficionados alike, because it was and still is one of the most complete vehicle packages to ever be released.

Now, time has passed, and it's time to upgrade. While I have been toying with other projects here and there, both ELS and non-ELS, it's time to look back on this legacy project and bring it to 2017 with the NextGen New York State Police vehicle project.

Goals:

The goal is to bring the mainline NYSP fleet to your computer. Nothing less. Bearing in mind that I'm no expert in scratch modeling, I'm more than competent in the setup New York uses and I'm very picky about what people include when they decide to replicate it. I have seen some very poor replicas of the NYSP and I intend to bring a generous level of accuracy and usability to the agency's vehicles.

What it will include:

Spoiler

1.  A full, 3-stage lighting configuration.

2.  Close-to-realworld equipment configurations.

3.  High quality, high-accuracy, and beautiful liveries.

4.  Use of the highest quality parts I can find.

5.  A competent compromise of realism and practicality.

6.  Standard mainline patrol, CITE, and possibly even administrative vehicles.

What it will NOT include:

Spoiler

1.  Legacy vehicles. (Vehicles before 2005).

2.  Unrealistic additions, such as partitions.

3.  Fictional configurations, especially lighting. While the NYSP is very diverse, I can assure you that there is no Spectralux in a NYSP fleet car.

4.  Fictional vehicles. No CITE-based CVPI, sorry folks!

5.  Out-there, rare to find vehicles. No E-series van. Sorry!

6.  Peds. I am not a ped person. I cannot make peds. Please do not ask.

With that, here are some screenshots of the currently released and available vehicles:

It's a lot of work. This will be a very lengthy project. I work in bursts, and you may see a bunch of vehicles come out at once with long delays.

Anyway, this is the official discussion thread for it. I appreciate any and all feedback.

Always been a fan of NYSP. I look forward to what this project brings to GTAV.

I live around the Albany area and i actually see a different version of this daily. Same dark blue, same rear setup, however in the front, it has a full set of lights in the top of the windshield and in the lower corners of the front bumper like the old G2XX CITE Tahoes. Just throwing that out there. Other than that, this thing looks absolutely amazing.

CITE vehicles come in these two variants, most of them used the Inner Edge but many do come with the two avengers. Since the XLP uses a predominately white setup, I find that the avengers look so much better which is what I replicated.

I can't wait to see this when its done also living in New York seeing state troopers almost every day i just can't wait that is all I can say.
