The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

If there is, then you are sitting in the driver's seat. steam_api64.dll is part of the steam client, which is "free" and anyone can download.

It's not illegal. Go spread your stupid bullshit somewhere else.

It's copyright infringement. LSPDFR is also free, this doesn't mean we don't exercise our copyright and send takedown requests when we see it elsewhere on the Internet.

FIX, (If you used the RPH backup system)   The "Steam_api_x64.dll" or whatever it's called was also replaced this patch and RPH does not backup that, pm me for v944's file if you don't have

  • Oh noes! Rockstar released another free update with lots of free content, and they aren't even helping people who technically break the games EULA! Let's just go to the Train Simulator DLC style, eh?

Apples and oranges. You don't allow LSPDFR to be mirrored, which is your prerogative. Steam allows their client to be mirrored, and a simple google search reveals that. That's why they call it "freeware".

steam's .dll files are not the property of Rockstar.

And is steamapi64 included with the freeware Steam client? I don't see it anywhere other than my either Free-to-play or Paid games.
Either way, If you can just get it by installing something along the lines of League of Legends or Dota 2, what's the point of bothering with the risk of getting it from random users or from some random .dll site that definately doesn't look suspicious.

Remember, a .dll can do anything (or at least most) things that a .exe can do, and I'm sure that if someone sent you a .exe to fix something, you most likely would not use it.

a. It shows your intelligence if you think that updates that modify the core game code every time, shoulsn't break it.

b. The RageHook "guys" is one volunteer who doesn't have to release an update AT ALL if he doesn't want to. Not to mention that to update it isn't an easy job.

Look, there is no need to appear so angry. Calm down, take a breather. It's just a website forum :)

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I'm not at all angry. I just cut the bullshit and state the facts. :whistling:

If you want me to sugar-coat it so that it seems less that he's uninformed, I'll be happy to do so.

yah cuz ima back up a 80 gb game plus mods and so on ... YUP have gbs to waste

You don't even need to back up the whole directory... There are only 3 files that need to be stored —with the addition of a 4th one as we just found out— to roll back your game to a previous version: GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe, update.rpf and steam_api64.dll. There was a time when you needed to have the right version of Rockstar Social Club but I don't think it is a thing anymore. The largest file to back up is hardly half a GB...

I have been playing with RPH 0.45, that's from August 2016 (!) almost every week since then, I have gone through all the major updates including this last one without a single issue to roll back to the version of GTA in that summer. All I am backing up is the 3 files in bold character above and the various DLL files and crap from the main directory, less than 1 GB in total.

Where we're going, we don't need signatures.

hmm that does make it more of a viable option
