can there be something so that if I or anyone want to share non in game pictures in a gallery that you have a separate gallery for this? I posted pictures in a gallery but it was removed because there is nothing saying that it has to be of in game pictures.... yeah there is the gallery guidelines saying this but how am I to read that if I have been here this long and never  noticed them

TL:DR
can there be a separate gallery for file updates? for example, if I were working on a Tahoe and had everything figured out but wanted an opinion on where to place lights, but I may not want to post 12 pictures in the post talking about it and the model is not ready for actual in game testing.

there people can see and then suggest on what they think the ideal light setup is. and perhaps maybe spot a bug, maybe Ive placed a fender to far low.

Users are expected to read and learn the Guidelines when the join, That being said the Community Guidelines clearly states on what you can and cannot post to the gallery. Your images were removed because they were of OpenIV/Zmodeller images (which weren't taken from in-game. The first rule in the Gallery Guidelines states it:

• Don't use the GTA IV or GTA V Categories to upload images not taken directly from GTA IV or GTA V, respectively

You can however create your own topic within the Showroom section of the forums and show your renders there. It is actually also better to create your own WIP topic since your files will be more noticeable and you'll be able to receive better feedback. Whereas in the Gallery your images are only noticeable for a certain amount of time (until other users upload their images) after that chances of it being seen is slim.

I know why my gallery was removed.. I am simply suggesting a separate place for non in game pictures to be held in a gallery....

I believe there used to be, but it has since been removed.

You can simply create a thread with WIP images, and upload to the gallery once it's complete and in game, I don't see why that's a problem personally as it works for everyone else.

I would like to have a gallery of snipets of works in progress that DOES NOT have to be of in game work.... thats the problem, however if it was removed, I will have to suffer using imgur or some other shitty site

The gallery is there for our users to share cool shots that they take in game, it isn't really meant for debugging or asking for help/suggestions. That's what the development and showroom forum categories are for.

This exactly. It's an eye sore seeing basic zmodeler images next to beautiful screenshots. It's simply out of place.

all the more reason to have a separate gallery but nevermind... no matter what, it wont be done, or redone..

We like listening here. Personally I don't see a separate gallery category for images which aren't entirely relevant to be a bad thing - I thought we already had this tbh.
