Yes, they aren't going anywhere, just the models will be updated.

Running game version 1365 (latest patch).

So I have two questions. One, if I want to change the handling of a car to a faster one (say the infernus) that is not part of the RDE handling META, would that work? Because I want to replace one of the unmarked cruisers to a camero.  Two, what exactly is the arcade version? Is it basically the balanced version, just with more intensity? 

 

Edit: Also, how do you change the wanted level music?

From memory, there's no problems with changing the Handling Lines used for the Vehicles. I've done it from time to time.

I've had some success on the SSR crash issue. Installed RDE into an empty, clean mods folder

 

Deleted SSR dll and its folder from the script folder

 

Done the .Net framework thing

 

Tried two different game configs, both are for the latest GTA 

 

The game crashes every time. Nothing stands out in the RPH error log which can be found here  -https://justpaste.it/5ntwi

Been snooping around seeing what's poppin' on RDE, and oh man those new lightbars look fantastic. You guys continue to impress.

 

On a side note, out of curiosity: why did the spotlights end up getting removed from sherrif3 in the 3.1+ iterations? The VCSO Caprice it's based on most certainly has them, and I figured the RDE team wouldn't take a step back from realism unless you had to. Is there some sort of technical limitation stemming from the revamped interiors (which are awesome, btw)?

Any other technical problem the team has come up against? I imagine trying to get the side lights on the lssheriff bullbars working is a nightmare.

That appears to be an error, I'm not sure why the spotlights would have been removed. I'll make sure that gets fixed when the vehicles are overhauled for the umpteenth time. 

One issue I've been having before and after the hotfix was that after four stars nothing but Grangers will spawn, and no matter where I am it will always be LSPD SWAT. Is there any known fix for this?

Bringing this back up,

I went to replay V, it did the usual Updating. I then reinstalled all the Mods (latest Versions) I have been using in the past, including RDE. Loaded the Game up, and immediately got a " ERR_FILL_PACK 3" Error Message.

 

Anything I did wrong?

I don't know if this is an error my end, but I went into the vehicles meta and I couldn't find the lines for police, police2 police3, and police4. I have the arcade version downloaded if that means anything.

Aren't those still located in the default GTA vehicles.meta?

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

RDE is outdated. However, there is an unofficial patch for it on the RDE discord.

When I  make vanilla RDE instal over current game, I could play.

However, when I want to play it again (I quitted and immediatelly/several hours after/the day after ...), game crashes.

 

(I use Mod Manager.)

With the latest update, the "fix" does not even work.

It looks like they took it down.

 

Hopefully there will be an update in a little while to fix the game.

I miss playing with RDE.
