I would like to use it, but there is no indication of the installation path, could you tell me? 🙂

Download the latest release, and from the archive, drag the contents of the "GTA V Folder" folder into the game directory.

hey guys, how can I have the wigwags effect the lighting on the ground flash like the Wig Wags you see in LSPDFR?

I think you may mean ELS, and the answer is with default sirens you can't. You can do a lot to customize the environmental lighting, but as far as I'm aware you can't match what ELS does with wigwags environmental lighting exactly.

I figured I'd post this useful plugin by @PNWParksFan since this thread popped up and nobody else had, since it will make editing light settings far easier than constantly reloading the game.

it doesn't work, I already changed the assigned key several times and the menu just won't open

You might want to make sure you have the plugin set to run through Rage Plugin Hook.

I've stumbled across a similar issue also.

I have rotators and LEDs on different sirens but speeding up the BPM causes my rotators to go mach 5. I unsynced the rotators from the BPM and adjusting the speed value didn't do anything. It either makes them stationary, trying to rotate, (https://gyazo.com/94ec72c93e53b23f33cacac70815f31b) or sends them a million miles per hour again. If I reverse it and sync the rotators to BPM but unsync the LEDs, it does this wacky thing where the LEDs have an intermittent strobe effect (https://gyazo.com/ae9d45b608a01350ac5b0fcd6bcbbb89).

I decided to try having half the LEDs unsynced and the other half synced to the BPM. Now they worked fine with their own speed value different from the BPM (as seen with the blue and grille lights: https://gyazo.com/cbad74dbd46cfae410c90efca787b678). During this, I one rotator unsynced to the BPM and the rest synced. The one I left unsyncronised worked like a charm. Changing all the others to suit just put me back in square one again.

If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated because this is doing my head in. Thanks!

I came a step further in combining rotators and flashers but still not working completely, yet.

Story:

I looked up the decimal code for the rotator and it was 101010.... and so on or 010101.... and so on.

With a high BPM it rotates like crazy so I thought: ok, just expand the sequence and I was going to 11111111111111110000000000000000 (converted to decimal = 4294901760). I set sync to BPM to false and turned down the rotation speed value (BPM was around 800 and rotation speed value was around 5) but still no luck. Flashing like crazy 16 times (I guess) BUT 1 turn at the end. So I said ok, 0 seems to be the turning and 1 the initial so I made 100000000000000000000000000000000 (decimal = 4294967296). And there was a full turn at normal speed but then nothing, it stopped.... only one full turn. I thought to make an initial start at the end (100000....000001) but it resulted in double start - turn - double start - turn, and so on....

I also tried 10000000000000001000000000000000. It worked, but rotation doesn´t make a full round....

Long story short:

- Sync to BPM must be false

- rotation speed value does have a direct effect on the rotation speed - the higher, the faster (of course)

- keypoint is the sequencer value, I guess (4294967296 is one full round but then it stops)

Maybe you brains can do something with this knowledge. I sadly don´t have much time atm...

Good luck and let me know!

Life has no happy end.

It´s always the death...

Really sorry to bump this thread but how on earth do I just make environmental lighting brighter? I'm talking the police/ambulance/tow lights that flash onto buildings/roads, I just want to make it brighter. Thanks in advance.

You mean in a sense of extending the range of building reflections?
In that case you would alter the following parameters:

<lightFalloffMax value="180.00000000"/>
<lightFalloffExponent value="180.00000000"/>

Increasing these will lead to a larger range of reflection.

By changing

<timeMultiplier value="1.00000000"/>

You can modify the alteration of said range during different times of day.

You'll never walk alone.

A few months late but thanks for your response!

I've arrived with a new question.

I'm playing on a RP server based on RageMP.. I've learnt how to edit the vanilla settings to make emergency lights brighter, but how do I make custom emergency vehicles lights brighter, so vehicles added by the devs on the server? Ones that aren't listed in the vanilla carcols.ymt file.

I'm not so keen on FiveM vehicles, but I've seen some having their own dedicated (and server-sidedly streamed) carcols.meta file (as do most addon cars for sp) - I suggest you look into the carcols.meta that comes with the car in question.

Thanks for your answer. I'm not playing FiveM, this is RageMP that I am playing and unfortunately I do not have access to the carcols.meta files for a servers custom vehicles. I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to looking into these but thanks for your response again.
