New Florida Highway Patrol Vehicle hitting the streets

It's shinier than a Chrome Adder. :teehee:

I hope it's only a 'Joke Car', and not actually the FHP's new Livery design.

It is only on 4 vehicles to combat "aggressive drivers" but the normal FHP cars are still around for the foreseeable future.

You guys are silly. No it's not chrome, it's black and it's ghosted. We just have alot of sunshine here.

I am so glad you brought this to my attention, because I am preparing to create a whole pack of textures for Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, and naturally I wanted to include FHP.

I created a skin for the BxBugs FPI, which had not hit the streets yet, 3 years ago to the date for LCPDFR. I was proud of that small thing, and believe I can pull this off.

Sunshine or not, black isn't supposed to reflect surroundings that bad, it does look like it's just chrome. Not saying it actually IS chrome, but it looks like it, and damn, that's ugly.

I'm legitimately sitting here trying to understand a motive to making such a retarded ass decision.

If we get into some of the safety issues that this car presents; as others have said this car is going to blind the hell out of drivers on the road, especially when it's a sunny day. On another front I know hat police in marked units want to be visible, but I feel like this was a bit of an exaggeration if they're trying to achieve that goal. If we go into the actual appearance of the vehicle, I personally think that it's ugly as a pile of poop sitting in a clogged toilet. You can barely see the actual livery of the vehicle, at least based on the image provided. At a distance unless the lightbar is a dead giveaway, I probably wouldn't even be able to tell that it's a police car. I'd assume someone tried to deck out their car. And finally, it just doesn't make any sense to me. Why not just get a regular liberally and paint job? I just don't see the point.

Guys.... Guys.

It is NOT chrome. It is black. What you're seeing is a picture of a black car ran through filters/HDR processing. Whoever posted this likely did that to make the ghost graphics more evident. Why do you think the wheels look so funky?

You want proof? Of course you do!

Below is the original picture, before edits. I'll attach the link to an Imgur album with more pics as well. Carry on!

Finally someone who can use some sense.

Also the unedited picture looks just as good, if not better.

Now that I can actually see the car not through a stupid filter, I can see that it's black.

What I can also see is that it's an ugly livery to match an ugly car. The lighting setup looks nice, but the 2015 Charger is just hideous.

In my opinion, the 2006-2010 Chargers were the best looking.

Out of the new generations, definitely. The 2012 and 2015 do absolutely nothing for me, if anything, car design is just getting uglier and uglier as time goes on.

Out of curiosity, would you mind posting a photo of a car that you'd be willing to call your favorite?

I'm going to go ahead and say the Mazda RX7. I've always had a thing for JDM ever since I was a kid, and it's probably the only "realistic" car that I could actually get one day (unlike a Lamborghini or something insane).

I'll pretend I never saw the post above and keep thinking Lundy&Illusionary are two holy gods of cool cars

really? a delicious-flat-chest tiny-ass Japanese sportcar? meh

Regarding the FHP Charger I can't really say it's a breakthrough or something. Another stealth unit, just like many others. What makes it stand out?
