I dont get it i followed the instructions but for some reason whenever i try to replace ANY vehicle the game says the gamefiles are corrupt on start up.

Never had that problem and succesfully modded the game many times before so wth? It wont work dosnt matter if i directly use the files deep whitin gta or the latest patchday... SOme help would be awsome i hate the vanilla police cars

Are you using a mods folder?

No never did that dont even know how to creat one tbh. I rather use backup files

The mods folder is kind of a necessity. Not only does it prevent you from needing to completely reinstall everything, it helps the mods to work.  A lot of the time, installing things into the vanilla game will cause issues.

Alright ill try that. I didnt knew that as i ever modded whitout a mod folder and never had any issues that way. Thx though

Hahaha!  We all make mistakes. :P  Glad you figured it out.  (Though, I still encourage the use of a mods folder.)

Chances are you did not install the ELS VCF correctly.

All there was was a file thing with an image that looked like a globe connected to the file names FBI and I replaced the pranger so I just renamed it to pranger  that is the only els thing there was. Also can you go look at my forum from yesterday I need help again lol thanks.

@Hystery man how can I solve my game crashing after trying to spawn an addon-vehicle? Also I gotta say the location is totally fine as it was working well before the latest update on the game, so I'm assuming it broke my gameconfig.xml but I still don't know after stabilizing my gameconfig why just manually spawning the car crashes my game completely and this only happens with these standalone cars not the default replacement ones I have.

If it's crashing when spawning in an add-on vehicle, the problem is either with the vehicles.meta or the carvariations.  Remember, a standalone vehicle must have the carvariations and vehicles.meta in the same dlc that its vehicle files are located.

As Kallus Rourke said, make sure you installed all the lines necessary for the game to recognize what you're trying to spawn. That includes the vehicles.meta line, and the carvariations line, that have to be added manually in said files (while when you simply replace an existing model, it uses the existing lines linked to that specific model in those files). If it isn't done properly, the game won't be able to find what you're asking it to spawn and will ultimately freeze and/or crash.

So, installing car mods to policeold still show the north yankton plates. How does one change this?

By changing the Yankton plate texture in the vehshare.ytd file with another plate texture.

I`m having trouble adding vehicals to my game. I go to the most recent patchday folder (16) and the default car model still spawns in game. Also tried patchday3, can anyone help?

Hey i have a slight issue i replaced a mod with the Old rancher and everything works fine except the Headlights they are still the Old Yankton light yellow where to find and fix this?
