Cops Reality TV/Documentary style LSPDFR patrols?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, So I had this idea of making a different kind of LSPDFR videos.

I watch a lot of police reality/documentary TV shows, like Police interceptors and traffic cops (in the UK) and wanted to do this in lspdfr so you can watch from like a cameraman's perspective. Here is my first shot at this style, It looks a bit too stabilized and smooth to be like handheld dramatic shots but the rockstar editor is rather limiting :/ I was able to add some shaking effects to the camera though.

The idea is I will probably voice act as If I was the officer you see in the clip, like the tv shows. The first clips at the airport is like the intro clip :P ALso one last thing, I think this callout in the vicdeo was quite difficult too edit, but I would mostly do pursuits and traffic stops.

Here it is, like or dislike however you please, feedback is appreciated of course. I would intend on making longer and more edited versions of this in the future if people like it and like I said earlier voice act in it.

Thanks for watching it!

The Idea behind this is pretty nice, but if u want to do it in a TV docu style, u should use gameplay that is as realistic as possible and not just blow through the city without stops and stuff like that.

Yeah thanks for the heads up. I admit I have had a few close calls lol

yup

I think it's a neat idea, i would like to see it as long as it's done properly! I'm sure the video was strictly just a test for the camera angle, but just try to make it as convincing as possible and you should be good :)

This sounds like it could be a great thing. I really enjoyed the video and the camera work. It did have that cameraman feel from Cops. My only constructive criticism would be to fine-tune your driving to make it more realistic to real-life EVOC driving, and added voice acting would be great. As you know from watching enough police documentaries, the police tend to wear the camera crew's microphones, so you'd be all set for that kind of realism!

Of course, GTA 5 and LSPDFR sometimes just gets silly and stupid with the AI, but just roll it with! I'd love to see what you come out with if you decide to pursue this project.

Great Idea. Be nice to include edited voice overs, both on route to a call out, on location and at the end of the incident as like a de-brief/summing up. Edited music and sounds too....mysterious chords and strings when investigating or locating crims, then upbeat hard hitting beats to run alongside any pursuits or action scenes.

I like the old 'comical scene' a lot of these TV shows save and run as the last clip...........i.e. a drunken man of 90+ years attempting to join the freeway in his wheelchair whilst towing a zimmer frame, or a small dog flying past a radar gun on a skateboard, you know with Stevie Wonder givin it hell for leather on the banjo in the background.

You could be the next Sheriff John Bunnell, the worlds best ever corporate entertaining sheriff, what a guy! How did he not make president?

Anyway great idea, much potential and interesting to see what comes up.

Good Luck!

Oh and check this out if you haven't already:

Bit old school but might give you a few ideas. I like how this series was filmed aswell. Id love to see this era of vehicles brought to GTA V: the Sierra Cosworth/Escort Rs2000 4x4/Cavilier Turbo 4x4/Astra GTE & GSi 16V/Rover 827/Sierra XR4x4 - ooh those were the days!
